We went on July, so it got a bit hot around 1pm, but the water was very cold, and we had a nice shade right by the water. As it got later, the park got a bit more crowded. There were plenty of picnic areas, but not by water. The current was very strong when we went, and there is fishing, but we didn’t catch anything. Unfortunately, we had to cut it short around 2pm because our grill got messed up, but definitely be coming back.

Plenty of pictures going on here so you can see its a small river park. Theres fishing access and a little wandering area.Down fall to summer here is everything is really dry and yellow. They have some kind of construction going on so the park access is restricted they only have porta potty and they werent very well kept.Ive been coming here since i was 5 years old and this is the worst Ive ever seen it.The water runs fast and really cold this time of years making swimming really dangerous so i dont recommend it.I only give it

Good for fishing. BBQ with family and friends. Enjoy family members. In an outdoor setting that is clean, with beautiful mountain ranges.

Beautiful Easter day to be at Winton Park .my only grip was the port of potty, Yikes it was terrible and disgusting, prior to going I read reviews that the pottys were being used but I figured that was a long time ago and the restrooms would be opened, but no! But besides that, it was great day. it was nice and green.I will be going over there again.

I went early Wednesday morning to do some fishing. At the gate, it says to put $5 in the provided envelope and stick it in the box. Then it says to grab your stub. What stub? Since I paid, I still entered the park, but was afraid Id be cited without a stub! What gives?

To dangerous dont let your kids swim here alot of people have drowned here

Too many people with covic19 we just didnt feel comfortable stayed for about 20 mins.

Nice place on the Kings River to take the family for fishing and a BBQ. Pretty crowded, but cool, shady, and the fishing doesnt suck. Picnic tables, BBQ grills and port-a-pottys available.

Loves this place on first view. With the river low there are several islands reachable by wading to get to more fishing holes. Few enough people here in January, looks like my kind of place!

My first time here and going by accident. I was looking for Avocado Lake and took a wrong road. Very nice park with several people fishing, BBQs, and felt safe. There wasnt anyone at the gate, but it looks like its a $5 park fee.

I enjoyed fishing there, however there was trash everywhere along the bank of the river. We were fishing for trout, but didnt catch anything. There was no fee because we parked outside and walked in. I was told the entrace fee was $5. It was a relaxing day.

For $5 you can sit in the shade by the river and enjoy a refreshing breeze from dawn to dusk. Bring a sandwich and ice chest and enjoy a low cost alternative - but be careful. The river is ice cold and moving fast right now! Definitely cant do more than drip your toes in the water!

Its a really nice little park for day-time use and trout fishing. If you pack it in pack it out. Pick up your trash and pick up any other trash you may see in the area. These areas are here for our use and if we dont take care of them they wont be here anymore. We are not animals we are humans so lets act like it.

Great place cousin brought us. No running water besides the river....lol....portable toilets available. Went on Labor day at noon got great spot lots of shade everywhere. Had a blast wish there was a place near Los Angeles. Will defenitely come back.5$ to get in. Day park only. No camping.

I love this little place. Ive been coming here most of my life.. My Dad & Uncle always took me fishing... I in turn, brought my Children, now I am blessed to watch them bring their Children

Great place to take the family and friends for Easter, plenty of room to play and have a good time. No Lifeguards at the river, so be sure to be careful if wading or swimming. Public restrooms. A 5.00$ charge for day parking at the gate shack, friendly staff. Overflow parking is Free outside of the gate.

We LOVE Winton park. Only problem rn is that the river is really high! Dangerous for little kids unless you find a good spot. Not a lot of shade by the water, bring a canopy!

As a kid my parents took my sister & I here every weekend and some long summer evenings. My old stomping ground from catching frogs to lizards and watching our watermelon float off. I have wonderful memories here. This was in the mid 60s and early 70s.

Sits along the Kings River. Good picknick area. Good fishing access in river. Be cautious during high water - swift and cold water. No play area for kids. Rest rooms are minimum - do flush.

Love this place. I come all the way from San Diego California just to come relax in this mesmerizing and relaxing River/Winton Park. Great for picnicking and BBQing. Bring a canopy, hardly any shade. There is picnic tables, BBQ grils, and plenty of parking. Not too much shade near water. Bring life jackets, current could get a little strong going deeper into river.Please, please please do something about the horrifying Porter potties restrooms they are filthy and completely unsanitary. Fecal matter all the way to the top, ants, flies and maggots. They arent even functional that way.The $5 fee to enter should be used to offer some functional bathrooms.Otherwise very pleased with this River and has potential to be very enjoyable.Thanks, Happy Rivering!
