One of my favorite spots downtown! Good service, love the loaded tots. Free games and fun!

Really fun bar in downtown Sanford. Great for games, with arcade games and board games, cornhole, skee ball etc all there. They show lots of sports including soccer and the NFL and they now serve food with a very good pizza on the menu. Theres a back yard with outdoor seating and it is very dog / pet friendly. Great drinks selection with craft beer, popular beer, cocktails, shots, wine and well drinks available. Good for parties, groups, karaoke, live music, limo cycle groups and even good for kids!

Throwbacks has always been my favorite go to bar since its opening. However, last night for the first time, my experience was less than satisfying. Their new bartender Jenica was so drunk she tried to fight my friend, fell behind the bar, and was completely sloppy. When I went to close, my tab was completely wrong and she was argumentative when I tried to explain it wasnt correct. I will no longer be going up there on nights she works. Hopefully they will find a replacement for her quickly because shes tarnishing their establishment.

We were picking up my son from the airport and decided to take a ride downtown Sanford and found this great place. Even though it was under construction, they were able to whip up some tasty treats for us. The pizza is yummy. We hope to get back again and again.

Great retro bar with 80s / 90s music, retro video games, and the staff is awesome!

The food is much better than expected, have had three items and they have all been amazing. Staff is very welcoming and atmosphere is very relaxed and fun.

Throwbacks is a fun place with all kinds of games from the last several decades. The beer selection is solid and they have plenty of liquor and wine for other tastes. I didnt try it but the food coming out smelled great. Ill be making plans to visit again.

Friendly place. Unique for all of the old video games- and new ones too. Great place to go if you want to do more than just sit there and drink. Havent tried the food, but they have a good selection of comfort food favorites.

Great place!You’ll love the atmosphere, food and drinks.I went with my wife for the Champions league final last month and had a great time. It felt like a big party at a friends house.It was great meeting the owners and their dog at bar!Again, you’ll love the atmosphere!Going tonight for the USA vs Mexico game.

Last night was the first time I was in this bar an the bartender jenika was drunk at 11 also very rude an disrespectful to my family will not be returning hopefully they can find some more professional bartenders an management can have a talk with the staff.

One of the best bars Ive ever been to. Marc is an icon and Davis and Robby are awesome tenders. Visit and start a convo with the staff. You wont regret it.

Throwbacks is an amazing establishment. That has some of the best food for any bar in town. Mark is the most caring and loving person you will ever meet. He takes his time with every person. Gives them the best service he possibly can. Mark will never let you down. David the main guy there makes sure that everyone is taken care of. So go to throwbacks and get a beer.

The bar itself is decent, but theres a couple of issues that made the place uninviting, but each issue could easily be addressed and gives the whole location a lot of potential.Pros:Centrally located in Sanfords bar districtFast serviceExcellent prices on foodFood portions are largePlenty of tabletop games to playOutdoor seating in back for smokersCons:First, the foot rest bar was loose from improper installation which made sitting at the bar for some offputting.Second, the 2x4 jumbo jenga game, while fun, is too big for the indoor tables. It makes a deafening crash when toppled, and the size occupies an entire bench table.Third, the music was loud, too loud, even for an active bar. The bartender kept turning the volume up to the point where bar patrons sitting next to each other had to scream to hear each other.Fourth, the bar staff only consisted of two people; The bartender, and the kitchen cook. While service was fast once helped, they could only attend to one person at a time.Fifth, the food was meh.Last, the skeeball lanes take up too much room and cause a major congestion point when trying to move about the back half of the bar.Suggested fixes:Hire extra staff to wait on patrons when busy.Move space consuming gamesLimit music volume to customer requestsImprove food quality control

Rob (owner) he is an amazing lovable person. Very pleasant person to speak to makes us feel comfortable all the time we go. The bartender Mark is a funny and always happy man. No matter what you maybe going through he will make you laugh while you are there. I highly recommend this place to everyone I know. Their menu is amazing as well mostly recommended would be their pizza, sweet corn nuggets, sweet rajili wings, loaded tater tots, and also the quesadilla. Its a wonderful place to have a couple of drinks, food and have fun playing all the games that we used to play as kids. Keep up the great work guys.

Came here at 1 PM on a Saturday and the door was locked. Their hours say theyre open both at the restaurant and on Google. This is the second time Ive gotten here at this time and the door was locked. Really should go about updating their hours.
