What a cool place to visit! We come to the area for fishing and waterparks. After finding Wild Acres Ranch, our family has frequented this place for the last five or so years. We love observing animals and nature, but what we love so much about Wild Acres Ranch is how intimate it is. Not only can we get closer to most of the animal collection, but we can feed deer, pet a camel on the nose, interact with dozens of goats and sheep. Every time we visit we can count on people friendly animals. The wide array of animals are well kept, well fed, and appear very happy. The pens are clean, and I was amazed at how few flies there were - my wife hates bugs. (When talking to one of the senior staff, they showed me a fly mist system they have built into the pens - very cool!) There is clear signage to help you have a family safe experience as well. This year they have added a lot more parking, gravel, animal pens - and had photo opportunities - what a cute unicorn! We will be visiting for years to come.
I have been here a few times and they have done some great upgrades this year. It may cost a little more now but its truly a small family ran farm which is America at its best! Its sad that a few Karens of the world feel the need to attack a small home grown business. Keep up the great work. My family will continue to support you when we visit the area!
LOVE the pumpkins! Nice size Good! Good price for size! Staff was really awesome ! They are always in a good mood willing to help love stopping by on my way home from work with the kids !
A fun quick stop near the lake. You can feed the animals, and the staff is friendly and inviting. They have ostriches, kangaroos, goats, chickens, a cow they shot with a shrink ray, and pigmy goats too. Perhaps more! We stopped right as they were closing, and they invited us to go see the animals and told us about them. It’s a great quick stop to put on the to do list if you’re in the area!
Baby animals were cute, not really much of a petting zoo though. The workers dont greet anyone and they dont ask if we have any questions. If I wouldve been greeted, I wouldve asked some questions about the baby goats, but even though there were a few workers, none of them greeted us.
The website says $5 but when you get there they say its 7. There are 8 pens with no grass. They want $10 to feed the animals. It says the best 30 minutes of your day. Takes less than 30 min. Not worth it. They have little kids taking money. No receipts. No bathrooms. Dont make the trip.
Not sure how this place has any good reviews. Literally a pit stop off the road. Website said $5 - when we got here it was $7 plus nickel and dime for everything else. For example: $12 a bottle for cows, $10 a bottle for goats etc. Animals are not kept well. Full sun, no food and all water was empty. All pens are rock. No grass or natural area. Workers are “Bills” very young children (not of legal working age by any stretch of the imagination.) Nice job Bill. Also no public restroom and 7% service charge. Disappointed in Bills professionalism and treatment of people and animals alike.
We really enjoyed the parakeets, I think its fair pricing considering how much fresh produce that you are given to feed the animals.
This place used to be free with a minimal charge for food for the animals. But now, I mean $5 to walk past 5 cages and $10 for a bucket of something like 7 vegetables!? I mean cmon. If Im paying at least $15 to see animals, theyd better be on a plate with garlic butter sauce.
This place is fun for almost all ages, the prices can be a bit much imo but besides that this is an awesome to take any anybody that likes animals.
We had fun feeding the animals. But the birds were AWESOME
The animals were so well fed and taken care of. Go there and enjoy some time amongst some cute little animals
Nice for a quick little family stop! They even have a Unicorn! Lots of small goats you can feed with a bottle, a cow, kangaroos, ostriches and a camel.
My kid enjoyed it but the animals are sick and not very well taken care of.
Was a great place to take my son, would recommend it to any locals who have a small budget. Animals are gorgeous, best few bucks Ive spent for my kid that loves animals, feeding them was a new experience, he really liked the deer and goats. ostrich was a little intimidating.
Animals are VERY friendly. They know when to stop eating when the stalk of corn is gone. Goats will eat right from the palm of your hand. Deers as well. Very cheap and affordable. System works as a trust box. Put 50 cents in and you grab some corn. Ostriches were friendly as well. I loved every second being there
It was a nice stop for the kids. The animals are in fair condition, however the poor ostrich is in poor condition. Its worth stopping by once.
Fun feeding the animals! Only cost me $3.
Very fun but they only had a few ears of corn to feed them.
Great for the family
Cute animals :D
Super cool... Other than the hole wide animals in cages...
Meh... just alright. You pull up off the street. Just a handful of animals. You could feed them, but only to find no food to buy. So my 6 yr old a little disappointed. I guess an ok place to stop by for a few mins if there was food to buy. If you need to kill a few mins.
This is a nice quick stop to entertain family. You get to feed goats, a horse, emu s, and deer. It cost 1$ for an ear of corn. The animals eat out of the flat of your hand and I have never had an issue. The emu s I did not feed out of my hand, but held the cob up from the end.
Fun for kids
My kids love this place but the price for an ear of dried corn really a dollar a piece come on
I love taking my kids here!
Nice to feed the ducks and geese and fish and ostriches goats horses we had a good time
I can bring my own carrots or apples or pay a dollar for a few ears of corn. My children love it and my boyfriend loves the ostriches!! Very cheap fun for the kids or adults
The kids loved the animals
When the animals see you they come running to be fed.
This was a cute little place until they redid it and now charge $2 to see the same animals that you saw for free and charging $10 for a small cup of food. Really not worth it anymore. We used to take our grandkids here on the weekends, but won’t be anymore
A variety of animals!! Great for kids and adults to feed and watch them!!
Unique and family oriented fun
My kid loves feeding the animals. Doesnt cost much $ to feed the animals.
If been taking my kids since they were little know my grand son we love it
Nice place to stop and stretch your legs where the kids can feed the animals for entertainment. Feed cost a dollar or so.
Fun distraction on your way anywhere.
Grandchildren love feeding the animals
Decent place we found while driving home from Sandusky. Kids enjoyed feeding the animals corn that is availible for a small price.
The pens were very clean and the corn buckets were full!!
The animals smell awful.

Granddaughter loved it
