Fun lake that’s well maintained and very much cared for. So much that they’ve even got a mascot . The staff is wonderful and will point you to the hiking trails. The bathrooms are nice, they’ve got lots of affordable goodies in the gift shop, and the trails are beautiful and perfect for an afternoon hike with small kids and/or dogs of all sizes, since it’s well shaded and cool along the path.Be sure to put on lots of bug spray and check for ticks afterwards. Also, make sure your dog has some sort of protection from fleas. Wonderful experience overall and I highly recommend. My favorite part was how much pride the staff has for the lake and nature. They’re super nice and very helpful. They even allow you to park at the visitors center while hiking nearby. You can tell they really care about that place .

Our cabin is really nice. Great views of the Keystone lake. It has a jacuzzi tub. The cabin is called Paradise. Pier 51 is right around the corner, they have a place to eat and boat rentals. there was great trails to get to the water behind the cabin was a trail to a really nice sandy beach cove area. The only gripe I have is when I made the reservation I was not told that theres no dishes in the cabin theres no silverware in the cabin theres no tea towels in the kitchen nothing. I know this is probably because of Covid-19 but you could have told me when I made the reservation or even checked in so I could be prepared for that and you had three occasions to do so and never did.

The cabins are clean. We enjoy having our family reunion here. We have been having our family reunions here for over 10 years. We decided last year to reserve several of the 2 bedroom cabins and the area is perfect for our family to gather. The ladies in the office/store are very polite. We look forward to many more reunions here.

The green country campground has some real shady sites. Also a nice playground in view from most sites. 30 & 50 amp sites with sewer even though the website doesnt specify they have sewer connections. Down side is the sewer connection stands so high up off the ground that it makes dumping and flushing your tanks difficult. They really need to be lowered to ground level. Its kinda ridiculous. The pic is me neighbors sewer, Im using a sewer ladder and its still terribly high. The hight of the sewer lost a star for me. Also the road leading through the park is really rough. That costs this park another star for me.

Keystone is one of my favorite lakes. There are plenty of sand beaches for the kiddos. Keystone state park has plenty of nice RV spots. Updated playground equipment, nice oublic restrooms, and a couple of really nice marinas to enjoy a drink or grab a bite to eat. Highly recommend.

Such a great place! The lake bottom is made of dark clay and rocks, so it isnt clear, but it is clean. With goggles, you can see your hand no more than a foot and a half in front of you. The picnic areas are covered in cigarette butts, but there are some trees, a lot of charcoal grills, and plenty of people were fishing.

I love camping here and always have. But having the crew cutting grass and blowing dust and debris all over camp sites during lunch on a Saturday is kinda ridiculous. Had us running trying to cover up and save as much of our food as we could. Lost some of it. I understand mowing, but during a busier day while people are trying to enjoy the park is not what we call enjoyable.

Very nice campground. We went for the weekend with our adult children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. We ate Friday night at the Pier 51 restaurant and had the catfish special. It was excellent. The boat ramp was nice and wide. Our great-grandson loved the playground but they need to add something for the little ones (2 years old.) They also need a tower for cell phone reception and tv reception. There were storms in the area and we had no way to check on them. No TV, no cell phone.

We went out here to look at the comet. Great place for this as you have unobstructed views and not a lot of light pollution. We went to the campground. It was full of campers but dark and quiet. There is a large field where we were with campsites around the perimeter. This park has cabins for rent, tent camp sites, a marina, and a restaurant on the marina. All of this is very spread out over at least 160 acres or more.

This is the third time I have been to this Keystone General Store cabin office. The first two times Ive had a wonderful experience and theyve been on top of their game, unlike this time... The rudest lady is not letting me get a cabin that I paid for at 3:00 after 3:00 she said theyre still busy cleaning which they have because I asked for early check-in at 1:00 p.m. I drove down there theres nobody in the cabins no ones cleaning them and the lady still wont let me in and its 308 I am livid!! Will NOT stay here again!! Stayed in L30 but had to move because that spot is too short for our rig plus a vehicle to park. There werent enough trees to shade us and it was too hot for my 9 mo. old baby. I tried to edit my reservation several times online for a spot in the shade, ended up making a new reservation for G27 but the office would NOT refund me or credit me for the spot Im no longer using. Lost $54 dollars! Girl in the office was unapologetic.

Park staff is very friendly and helpful. Although the swimming area is rocky, its easily accessible. The water is not clear, but thats to be expected since the Arkansas and Cimarron rivers feed the lake and the Dam keeps the water flowing to where the sediment is constantly stirred. Very short drive from the surrounding cities. Cabins, shelters, RV and tent sites are available. Each camping area has a comfort station/bath house. Some with paid showers.

This is a great place to have a picnic or scavenger hunt because it is very big and has a lot of different trails. There are grills and picnic tables as well as places near the water to set up seats. There are also playgrounds for kidsm It would look best in the late spring and fall or after some rain so that the creeks running through the walking trails have water in them. You can get free maps at the gift shop and a knowledgeable staff member can recommend the right trail for you. I would go back sometime the weather is nice and explore more of the trails.

Scenic and peaceful with lakeside camping. Staff at the office/store were very polite and helpful. Three different levels of campsites, full service RV, partial service (elec and water), and primitive with water. All were very clean and well kept. Bathrooms and showers located with short walk, but in need of cleaning and repair. Play area located near the bathrooms as well. $16 per night for mid level sites and nice place to stay and play.UPDATE: Last stayed in GCT36 in Green Country area at the end of the section. No water or electric, lots of room to spare. Can use tent trailer or tents. Stays partially shaded so nice and cool when needed. View of the lake and pretty much everything around. Common water hydrant available at the bathrooms.
