I mean, not much to review here. The acoustics are fine. Stage is relatively viewable from all seats. Seats could and should be upgraded/updated. They seem as if theyve been there for 3 or 4 decades.

This place is alright...I wish they would modernize the inside tho...I understand that the historic society is always working to preserve the design legacy of Frank Lloyd Write...but it is time for an upgrade...

Beautiful lay out for an art exhibit at the fair, fine acoustics as evidenced by the percussion band performing over the weekend we visited. They had the doors open at both ends so there was good air flow. The loo was clean, well stocked and there are plenty of stalls. There is wheelchair accessibility and wide halls for them to move around.

I brought my mom here to see William Shatner and it was awesome. Parking was free. They have bathrooms conveniently located in the building. And they sold great wine. Seating was very comfortable and the screen was a great size to watch the movie on.

Ive gone to many concerts here and I find the acoustics quite professional clear no matter where youre sitting in the auditorium. I never overcharge for most of the shows here and the park in his easy bathrooms clean and and over all safe place to spend the evening with the at a teacher the outdoor gardens and water features where people can wander around before a show begins or shortly thereafter.HD

The show we saw was great, but the venue left a lot to be desired. The seats are quite old. Entering and exiting was not done in an orderly way. Leaving the parking lot was a nightmare. There is much room for improvement as a venue for large events.

The movie screen was small for the space. We came here to see a screening of Star Trek II the Wrath of Khan and Bill Shatner. While we enjoyed the show, the venue could use some work.the movie screen was small for the space. The sound was pretty bad. This space likely hasnt changed since the 1950s.

Last nights Ina Garten event was extremely disappointing— in fact a rip off for what it cost. The program started late and ended early. The video screen was not used so those in the back needed a telescope. I hope the moderators cooking is nowhere near as bland as her performance. I know what knives to buy, but have no insight into the Barefoot Contessa.

Great venue with plenty of parking. The auditorium is located right next to a small lake/park. The seating was spacious with plenty of leg room. We were there for the Bob Woodward lecture as part of the Marin Speaker Series.I was a bit disappointed by Bob Woodward. I expected Woodward to provide his take on the NSA snooping, drum beats to war with Syria, etc. And doing so, perhaps, share some valuable nuggets of insider information that will help us to cut through the hot smoke of demagoguery. Instead, the lecture was an off-the-cuff, stream of the consciousness affair. It was more about his experience rubbing elbows with the Washington elite. I disagree his view that the fiscal cliff was the result of the politicians unable to reach a compromise. In any case, in my opinion, the journalist who broke the Watergate story is now part of the Washington establishment.

This is Marins only large auditorium to see anyone involved in music, drama or comedy. Greatest event that goes each year here is Singers Marin annual Holiday Concert. Comprised of four adult groups, four youth groups on stage singing the traditional, standard holiday music along with selections for the Hanukkah season. Last year they did a few gospel tunes which brought the house down.I always tell people if this dont put you in the holiday spirit than nothing will.Ive gone every year and its an incredible show! Get your tickets to their show called, Tis The Season Cheers! You wont regret it!

Just had my first experience at this venue and I would say its just okay. The place is huge for a veterans memorial hall and the outside and grounds are beautiful.Appearance wise, It looks very nice inside as well, but the parking is ridiculous for sold out performances. We had to go blocks away from the venue to get a space in one of their onsite lots, but did everyday find one. After the show it was a standing traffic jam to get out, which took close to an hour. The Box Office line was a block long and under staffed, leaving many of us who came early rushing to get to our seats before the performance began. They definitely have nose bleed seats in this auditorium, high enough that you have a little trouble hearing the lower speaking on stage and you can see the performers, but not their facial details. The Seats themselves were not very comfortable, but they did have ushers to help you find yours in the darkened theatre. Not anxious to see another performance here, but Its give it one more try before giving up on it.

Decent venue. Fair amount of space between chairs and rows. Many seats for people with disabilities. Parking is somewhat limited. There is only one single-lane road connecting this venue with the rest of the Marin county. Expect 10-15 min delays in post concert traffic.

My first experience with the MVMA (and Marin, for that matter) was a mere two months ago or so, coming up this way for a Jake Shimabukuro concert with a girl I was dating at the time. If youve never heard of the man, Youtube him: he does magic with a ukulele! While positive overall, I did have a few mixed opinions about the venue. Lets start with the most important part of a venue for a musical performance: the sound system and setup here was fantastic. For those who care about lighting and effects, theirs were also surprisingly nice: no, not EDM show level impressive, but, very nice for small and solo acts.As for the venue itself, while the outside and lobbies were quite nice, a careful glance around the auditorium itself showed that the place was definitely a little dated. To each their own on how to react to that: perhaps its nostalgic and has character - to me, it just felt a little old and worn. That aside, the interior is fairly spacious, and performances without many (or any) intermissions wont notice that the two lobbies on either side are actually quite small, which was only noticeable to us because of the meet and greet Jake did after the show.***Accessibility Info***Venue - For a venue of their size, I was actually a little surprised at the amount of accessible wheelchair seating they had. Located roughly in the middle of the auditorium, where one of the main walkways was, were a smattering of spaces designated as wheelchair... parking spaces, if you will, with some adjacent seating reserved for accompanying guests.Bathroom - I believe there were a set of bathrooms on each side of the auditorium. Either way, there is at least one that is perfectly accessible.
