Ive visited Fenix several times over the past year. Primarily because a band I support plays there regularly. The atmosphere is beautiful, the food is quite tasty and the drinks are well made. Its a perfect venue for seeing good local entertainment. Overall, the experience has been average. The hit or miss customer service has quite a profound impact on the level of enjoyment. Some evenings, the service is prompt and professional. Other evenings, Ive had to waive down a waiter only to be told I wasnt seated in his or her area or have had customers seated after me served first. More consistent service would warrant a higher score.

I came up to San Rafael for a business trip and made a stop in here on a Wednesday night. After 8pm the house band started playing and the music started flowing. The band was AMAZING! The drummer, bass, guitar, keyboard and sax player were wonderful. What was even better, is around 9:30pm they brought up people from other musicians that were there for an semi open mic night.I cant wait to go back to the Fenix on a wednesday to enjoy the great food and listen to some wonderful music.

Saw great Blues & Rock there over the years. Food good as well.
