Excellent camping. Level area. Bathrooms cleaned daily. Hidden gem in the river
We recently held a retreat here for my churchs youth group. Tom was very easy to coordinate with - Answers phone calls and emails within a couple of hours - and when the day of our retreat came he checked in with us every day to make sure everything was up to par. The grounds themselves are well kept and beautiful. It is serene and tucked away and yet conveniently close to any shopping you might need to do as well. Truly the perfect location, and totally worth the trip!
Tom G is a great host and resource. He is very friendly and I love camping at his camp. It is a perfect location to put in on the San Marcos River. So much space, free firewood, decent bathroom space. This place is not open to just everyone.
Furnished chapel with beds and a kitchen, good for retreats.
Tom and Sandy are great hosts and easy to work with. The camp is well maintained and the showers are welcome after a day on the river! Its a quiet place, with few amenities, which suited our group well. Lots of room for the kids to run around and be themselves. Enjoyed sitting by the river with a cup of hot tea every morning.
Grounds beautful, right on the river, super clean campground bathroom, and the owners are so kind and easy to talk with!
Nice campsites but tubers flood the river
Best time ever!! Will be going again and again. This place is worth the drive.
What a fantastic place to camp and tube the San Marcos River ! It doesnt get any better or more convenient than this. I would highly, highly recommend this campground to any Scout Troop, Pack or Crew and any church group. They have flush restrooms, water, electricity and fantastic access to the river.
Friendly people and prices are fantastic.
I have no idea
Excellent hosts! Fantastic location
Great location and camp for the scouts. I like everything except the tubers and their music. Should be better in the fall when the tubers are gone. Texas friendly staff.
I recommend this camp - Ive camped here several times with scouts and other times with families. Im going again this summer with a womens trip. Wonderful, quieter place to camp. Kayak rental nearby, across the street - TG Canoe. Nice owners. No drinking means no loud, late-night partyers - there are plenty of other places to do that for those who want to have that kind of experience, few where it is quiet and family-oriented. Have a glass of wine or micro-brew in town at a nice restaurant, then relax around a campfire. Thats our plan.
This place used to be nice! They got hit hard in the flooding and are struggling to recuperate. The owners are very nice and helpful.
Great location, clean, friendly owners. Didnt have incredible facilities, but a great place to enjoy riverside camping!
A lot of wildlife, terrible toilets, and a lot of ant piles and uneven ground
Great camp on the river with easy access
