Both a great visual and educational experience. The similar installations I’ve been to have never provided the educational tour element that I found here. I had a lovely time with friends at this cool avocado installation!

Love this little museum! Without giving anything away, it’s tactile and lovely. The space is thoughtful designed and has a spectrum of avocado goodness. Made for a nice date to learn about the wonderful avocado. Sure hope this continues to grow and perhaps the next installation will be a bit bigger and more immersive.

I love avocados but this place was extremely disappointing and very expensive. The tour was way too short and there was barely anything on exhibit. I thought we would’ve at least seen or sampled some actual avocados. Also no gift shop. Such a waste of $80 for our group. Compensation for our pour experience would be greatly appreciated.

Excellent artistic informational space on Haas avocados. Very fun and tactile while providing information about one of California’s best agricultural gems. Heads up to the younger generations: you will be taught how to use a cassette player... with real buttons!

The CADO is a fun, unique, immersive experience for any group. The creators thoroughly researched the history of CA avocados and guide you though an educational, immersive experience. The upbeat music and fun color scheme create a welcoming environment... and the interactive art installations are so unique! Tons of awesome photo opportunities. The hosts were fun to talk to and knowledgeable on the topic. We’ve visited twice and can’t wait to come back!

Please save your money and don’t waste your time. Not worth the drive. Large room split into 3 other rooms. Asked tour guide several questions about avocado’s and she was unable to answer them... you work at an avocado museum I would hope you’d be able to answer questions about them. The only redeeming part of the whole ticket was the sampler of cider next door.

I eat an avocado nearly everyday, so when I heard of this - I wanted to go. Some fun throwback elements (I cant remember the last time I used a tape deck - and it was voiced by Jason Mraz - wow!) and I was impressed with the textural look & feel elements to immerse the guest into an all avocado experience. Learned lots of fun facts and enjoyed chatting with creators, Anne & Mary, about how and why they built an avocado museum, which is apparently endorsed by the California Avocado Commission. There was a partnership with the cider place directly next door, so after the tour we drank some avocado honey cider, which was also great.

I was excited to see this museum, but was really disappointed. Was way over priced to stare at a couple walls with hardly anything on them. People were nice but still not worth it. You could seriously find some better entertainment at a funeral home.

We made the drive from LA and loved this fun, educational, and instagramable space!! So great to actually learn a thing or two while also being in a cool, beautiful place!

What an amazing experience! The creators clearly have so much passion for this fruit and for sharing its history with visitors. I learned a ton during the tour and have a much deeper appreciation for avocados, and (being a history buff) their origins as well! Our guide was extremely knowledgeable and answered every question our group had. The Cado is without a doubt a San Diego treasure. I don’t write reviews for many things but couldn’t help myself after seeing The Cado, it was that good and definitely something you don’t want to miss!

So disappointing and underwhelming! Our family of avocado lovers had such high hopes when we each paid $19 admission. Aside from a couple of cute photo ops there wasnt much to see or experience here. Guides were friendly but just didnt have enough exhibit to work with. Not sure Jason Mraz realizes what he has lended his name to.....

3-star “museum”, 5-star “experience”. Some cool art pieces and great pics for the Insta, but “museum” is a misnomer, though I did learn a few things.

Four words: Check. It. Out. Now! I LOVED our time at The Cado!! Each room takes an aspect of an avocado and turns it into it’s own immersive experience. The tour guides were so knowledgeable and answered every question that we had along the way. I don’t want to give too much away, because honestly I think every San Diegan should experience it, but I loved how creative each room is! Also having an excuse to explore the new North City area in San Marcos afterwards was so much fun. I definitely suggest getting tickets before they sell out!
