Tim made us a vase and it was amazing. The whole process was really cool and enjoyable. He also gave us a brief history about glass and talked us through the process while he was making the vase. I highly recommend this for anyone!

Beautiful place. Loved the demonstrations. No reservation needed. Early birds will have a good start. Buying souvenirs is a good way to support the business. An ancient art yet still mesmerizing. A must visit. And if anyone wants to have something unique made out of glass. They do contracts as well.

Real good experience! Went to checkout the place for a quick minute, after watching the artists blowing up that glass and doing their magic, spent close to 2hrs watching them. After watching them, its pretty hard to hold back on buying. Very awesome place. Highly recommend!

REACH homeschool co-op field trip today. My son and his friends had a blast. Very educational. Great skill to gain interest in for my little fire starter. Something useful to put his hands to some day. He can go from building in the fireplace to playing with molten glass someday if he likes. Great idea to have a viewing area, way to promote the arts and education! The gentleman that tan the demonstration was very patient, funny and full of fun facts for our audience.

We were able to watch the process (free of charge!) and see how glass items are made. The presentation was well given. There was a question and answer time at the end. After completing an entire piece, the glassworkers then joined and mingled with the guests in the gift shop offering additional opportunities for questions and conversation.The gift shop is not a place for small children. Prices are high, but all is handmade originals.An enjoyable visit.

My partner had been here before and wanted to show me this place. It is a fantastic experience to watch the demos how those beautiful and colorful glass pieces come into existence under Tim’s (the founder) careful hands. You can take home glass roses, plates, vases, jewelries and hummingbird feeder with you. If you are around please have a look! I decided to take earrings and pendants home with me so I can wear them every day.

We had a wonderful time here with our 3 and 5 yr olds. The owner was blowing the glass and demonstrated making a purple vase. Beautiful piece, expertly crafted. He was very engaging with the kiddos and extremely knowledgeable about the history of glass blowing. Beautiful store but we couldn’t browse too long because of the kiddos. Highly recommend going

Very interesting little place near San Marcos. The artwork was amazing. We sat through a demonstration given by the owner. He made a vase that portrayed the Texas spring wildflowers and it was beautiful. He was a hoot to listen too. Definitely recommend you drop in. All kinds of artwork for the home, such as lamps, vases, jewelry, and wall art.

This place is a must-stop. They have a large very nicely done gallery to watch the glass blowing. The people working the glass very very nice and explained everything they were doing. It was fun. They were making these intricate pumpkins for the fall. We watched them make about four of them before going to the showroom. They have a lot of very nice beautiful pieces for sale. These guys are very successful, and enjoy what they do.

Ever since I was a child I loved watching the art of glass being made right in front of me. We used to go to Juarez Mexico to a huge place where they did the same thing. They made everything. I went one time during the blistering hot summer and I know in that area it was much hotter. I felt for them. Yet what they made was awesome. Im always amazed at how they make such gorgeous works of art with hot melted glass. Now I love to take my granddaughter Indie. Wimberley Glassworks has so much to look at and purchase. I think everyone should go and watch pieces of every color of art being made right in front of you! I love this place

Fantastically glorious. Its wonderful to be able watch them blow glass! The art pieces themselves are beautiful and unique and its become a family tradition to go ever year to their slightly irregular sale. Would highly recommend going if only to see them blowing glass.

Yes, this is a must visit place. Hopefully you will catch a glassblowing demo. They were making a lamp shade when we were there. Thats a lot of fun, especially if you have a pretty good understanding of the process.We visited with our daughter after attending a wedding the evening before.It was cool visiting the store and there were many pieces wed have loved to purchase but we still managed to purchase 2.Had we not just bought a new plane, we would have loaded up on glass items.We will be back though.Thanks for your hospitality and time. Love this place. They have glass blowing demos on certain days and their work is incredibly beautiful. You can order custom pieces as well as buy glorious vases, bowls, jewelry and decor pieces. Their lamp shades are incredibly beautiful. But beware -- it is not for the faint of wallet. Craftsmanship like this is not cheap but it is worth every penny. Oh, and dont bring badly behaved children, way too much breakable stuff.

Beautiful glassworks by very talented artists. They have free demos several days a week. Call or check their website for times. Its very hot watching the demos due to all the heat and blowtorches so go earlier in the day if its hot. You can usually see the owner and main artist and ask questions. They are very service oriented. Theres jewelry, bookmarks, lights, plates, misc. items, etc. Definitely worth the trip if youre into art.

Glassblowing and incredible artistry combine for beautiful pieces of all sorts and sizes at Wimberly Glassworks. Following an engaging glassblowing demonstration, we walked through the showroom filled with beautiful items from glasses and vases to chandeliers, sconces, and gorgeous glass bowls. Amazing!

This is an amazing place to go to see one of a kind items made from blown glass. Dont look for the little glass animals here. Instead look for bowls and vases and light globes that are unlike anything you have ever seen anywhere else. There is some reasonably priced jewelry but expect to pay a good price for any of the other hand crafted items. This is not a discount store but rather caters to those with lots of money and expensive taste.

Cool to get to watch the glass blowers create their art and discuss the process with the audience. The pieces made were excellent quality and very high dollar. Too rich for my blood, but Id still recommend it.

Took the kids out this weekend to check out Wimberley Glassworks. Very incredible experience! Watching the master craftsman blow the glass live was truly amazing! Was definitely worth surviving the heat in their glassworks workshop to see the live demonstration! For anyone visiting the area, definitely recommend stopping by and seeing the amazing works they have created!

Check the website for when the artists are actually working. It was fun and educational to watch them blowing glass. Better to do in a cooler month due to the 2100 degree kiln. Bought a hummingbird feeder that is beautiful and utile, plus the Hummers love it. My daughter bought a vase that is lovely.

Excellent glass shop. Lots of great gift ideas. The staff is nice and helpful. They also have jewelry - necklaces and earrings.

Everything in there was just beautiful beyond description. You could see the artisans working creating the works of art for display in the showroom. All the people working there were very nice and accommodating to visitors.

Wimberley Glassworks is a pretty incredible place. If you have the chance to go to a demonstration you need to go. Ive been a couple of times now and the demonstrators are always so descriptive and engaging with their audience. Its amazing to watch.They have beautiful items for sale in their shop as well, but they are all INCREDIBLY expensive.

My wife and I came to just look around and potentially watch a show. The staff is all very welcoming and the glasswork is very beautiful. We were able to catch a demonstration and it was definitely an experience to not miss out on if youre in the area. You can tell that Tim loves his work and that comes out in the demonstration. He and everyone else there was excited to explain and share how the artwork becomes a realty. Overall, I would highly recommend Wimberley Glassworks!

This place is worth visiting even if youre not in the market for the products. The beautiful drive through Wimberley alone makes the trip worth it. Its all expensive. But they have some of the coolest, most beautiful glass work Ive imagined. Also they let you watch the glass being made which is a special treat NY itself!

Equal parts gallery and demonstration, its worth arriving early in the day. The glasswork is astoundingly beautiful - be it lighting, accent pieces, vases/dishes, or stained glass.

Took second graders there for a field trip, and it was incredible! Beautiful art everywhere and the demonstration was epic. I highly recommend!

I signed up for the glass blowing class. I had a great instructor. Learned about the history of glass blowing.. Got to blow a glass bubble. Our instructor then allowed us to choose to make a paperweight or a flower. We had a selection of a bunch of colors. I have not picked my finished piece up. (It has to cool for at least a day at a controlled rate.)

Tim is a fantastic host. He gave us a demonstration, for only two people, and we were enthralled. Either go in the winter or prepare to sweat. The kiln operates at 2100°. (Any day but Tuesday, no more glassblowing demos on Tuesday effective fall 2018.)If youre having meetings or conventions in San Marcos and need a side-trip, make sure you stop here.
