Finally became certified to bring students to Spring lake to get certified. Just got back from our first weekend and it was perfect. What a privilege to be able to train in 70 degree, crystal clear water in the Winter. Worth the drive and ever penny you spend to get to San Marcos. It’s also professionally run, clean, organized, convenient, historical, on and on!

It was okay, very short ride.. which is fine since we were in the enclosed boat and it was hot. We only stayed in the little area.. we didnt travel down the river. Theyre werent many cool fish or colorful plants.. but the water was very clear.. until of course we hit the water the skimmer boat was cleaning, it got really murky and we couldnt see anything. On the plus side, our guide was very knowledgeable. We got a groupon for it, so it was a good deal. Something nice to do, once. Oh yea.. and they had a free aquarium, which was nice while you wait. Its small, not much in there, but neat.

Very informative, and the guides are extremely knowledgeable and accommodating. There were people on our tour talking and receiving phone calls and our guide was totally unfazed. Guide answered all questions and suggested all the other activities available at The Meadows Center. There is also a small museum exhibit and a boardwalk through the wetlands here. Super educational, bring your kids!

This is a must-do Texas destination! The glass-bottom boat tour is spectacular with excellent historical and natural education, all while looking down on clear spring water, fishes and the springs bubbling up below. It’s an up-close personal experience with the natural beauty of Spring Lake. And all this just moments off I-35, in the heart of San Marcos and Texas State University.

The kids enjoy the glass bottom boat tour. It is really cool to see the springs bubbling up from the bottom of the lake. It is not too expensive to bring the family to for a nice educational experience. Only down side is not all the tour guides seem to have the same knowledge. You have great and ok guides. This last time wasnt as good as our last time. Still would go back, I learn something new every visit!

I am a vendor at this pow wow and have been for 7 years. The first 3 years were great. In the past few it has been terrible and this year was the worst! We were set up near the portable restrooms and all day long thats all myself and my customers can smell. Some did not realize it and some did and walked out of my booth. I know this will continue if something is not done it will be my last time!!

A truly magical place to learn the magnificent history and critical ecological information of the San Marcos Springs and River. Ride the Glass Bottomed Boats for a look into the watery wonderland of the springs; the guides each have their own trivia tidbits they include in the tour so the ride is informative and freshly interesting every time!! Bonus: theres a live Texas Blind Salamander on display in their aquariums; a rare chance to see one of these elusive endangered creatures.

Very much worth the price if you are in the area. The glass bottom boat tour was amazing. The water is clear and full of life including various turtles and not just fish. Our boat died and had to be towed back, so we had an extra long tour!
