A really good hike - not for the beginner. Takes about 45 minutes to get to the top and it’s relatively steep. However it more than makes up for it by the views and the satisfaction when you reach the peak. Parking is not easy. You will need to park on the street which is narrow and steep too. I would definitely recommend this hike at least once.
Great trail and switchbacks. Excellent view
Awesome hike, beautiful views, great for beginners.
Such an amazing place! Its a bit hard to find the way to the top if you havent been there before, so make sure you have a map and/or follow the signs. There is a climbing area as well, which is more challenging then just a hike but more fun.
Great hike..phenomenal views..love to play up top...good climbing here..trail running is great...#adventureswithseth #nature #naturelover #shareslo #slocal #discoverslo #soslocal #visitslo #landscape #coastlife #sanluisobispo #hiking
Beautiful view of SLO city and Cerro SanLuis mountain.
I love this crag. The rock is solid and most routes are mixed sport/trad with a few pretty exciting trad lines. The climbing can be characterized as pretty slabby and technical. Bouldering and hiking and two other activities that can be done here.
Unbelievable views. Take some hiking shoes/boots. Your feet will thank you. Took about an hour to get to the top. Be prepared with snacks, water, sunscreen and Insect repellent and proper weather clothes.
There are 2 entrances, but to get a better workout from the hike Id suggest coming up the Foothill entrance. The first part of the hike is a little steep and boring since youre only surrounded by brush and youre literally going straight and uphill, but after that its a little more fun. The rest of the hike has multiple switchbacks, and parts of it involve climbing rocks to get to the top. The view from up top is so nice too...you can see all of SLO county. It takes about an hour to get to the top and obviously much quicker getting down. Also, there arent that many shaded areas, so Id suggest going early in the morning or bringing lots of water.
Amazing view and hike!
Supurb resource for hiking and climbing centrally located in one of the most infantile vacuous communities Ive ever been in.Ive been working on rappelling and self rescue, will be transitioning more and more into climbing. I do everything Solo, Im not interested in child development. This is City, Public Property. Dont come up on me and act like you own the place, how are you bring descriminated against? You have some sort of problem? take the children and little doggies somewhere else, you should have been sterilized anyway.
Such a wonderful hike! Sunrises and sunsets are absolutely breathtaking from the peak, but also great anytime of day. Lots of shade, rocks to climb and fun to be had.
Climbed to the top, out of breath, looking for the Bishops Peak Women’s Center... couldn’t find it. Very disappointed.
Depending on the time of day and weather, its always a different experience and always just as beautiful. Its a great workout too.
Hiking with trails, preserves Nd incredible views. Close to universities, beaches and highways.
It is always fun to hike there and if I where you take the hard way its funner!
Beautiful hike; bring plenty of water.
