I make sure to see all the new shows here. They rotate about once a month. There are beautiful local crafts and jewlery and every month the show just widens my understanding of art.

Excellent small gallery featuring California and local artists.

Not a very wide selection of art. Everything looked the same or very similar. Also this gallery does not have many originals only reproductions. Unique items were few and far between. Not very inviting or friendly. Staff could not stop their conversation to greet me or ask if I had any questions. Which is fine but there were no visible prices or artist names so that I could just google the artists myself. I will not be back. This gallery really lives up to its name of JUST LOOKING.

This gallery is wonderful. I couldnt believe the art they have. A lot is very art deco which I like. Heard the story of Steve Thomas who was commissioned the The National Parks to recreate art deco posters of all the National Parks. The owner of Just Looking saw these and decided he not only wanted to carry prints of these, he wanted to commission Steve Thomas to create posters of California beginning with San Luis Obispo and the rest of San Luis Obispo County. These are very diverse, and in all different sizes. Now you can buy (as far as I know only here!) any of these, plus any of the national park posters, and others like Santa Fe, and sites in Florida.

Incredibly friendly staff. Totally welcoming if you just want to browse, but also have tons of impressive artwork with great character.

I like this place. Its a small gallery and the people there are friendly and helpful. As non-buyer I found it was a pleasant experience.
