Serra Chapel at Mission San Juan Capistrano was constructed by Juaneño Native Americans. Junípero Serra y Ferrer celebrated Mass in the Chapel in 1783. By 1811, more than 1,200 people lived and worked at the Mission as an active community of tradesmen, farmers and clergy. This attractive entrance is located on the northeast corner of the Mission.
