Nice easy trails - not steep at all. But there are not many trees, and most of the time had to walk under the sun. Somehow its quite windy, so its not very hot. Still I think its better when the temp is below 70.
Great beginner MTB trails.
This is a great beginner friendly mtb trail. There are no technical single track obstacles or difficult sections on this ride. Its about a 10 mile loop if you string together both loops. Ive always gone around clockwise going by the reservoir first, then making the single track climb to the top and back around to the parking lot.The climb is about 950ft in elevation, but the grade is very shallow, not even requiring granny gear on my bike. Its easy to hammer out a quick loop. There is a 15 mph speed limit here, so watch out on the downhills if the rangers are around.Large parking lot with bathroom and wash stations for washing hands. No potable water. Bring plenty of water to drink.Sadly, there is no night riding here even though it would be perfect for it with headlights. $400 fine for riding after sunset, boo! This is a mixed use bi-directional trail, so watch out for hikers, hikers with dogs, and riders and other mtb riders. Always yield to the rider coming uphill against you. Always stop for horses and take your helmet off and ask if it is ok to pass or wait for the horse rider to wave you by. Courtesy is paramount and appreciated by other trail users and keeps the parks open to mtb riders. Always make sure that hikers hear you coming and dont just bomb past them.
Awesome place to go for trails. Hike, bike or just a walk.
Views from the trails were of houses and yards, not my cup of tea
Whats to say, its outside and beautiful.
Beautiful trails, very peaceful area
Mtb. This is my bread and butter trail. Will visit at least once a week to do a quick loop before dinner.
Great terrain for a chill 8 mile loop. One of the best trails in the South Bay.
Fantastic place for a short (and easy) mountain bike ride (10-mile loop) or hike. It is also possible to connect to Rancho Cañada del Oro for s much longer and interesting ride. Keep in mind that Rancho San Vicente is just an entrance to the Calero County Park trail system.
I’ve run here 3 times since March. This latest addition to Open Space Preserves in the Bay Area has something for all outdoor enthusiasts. You can hike, run, mountain bike or ride your horse here. The views are beautiful. If you want to you can go as far as the trails at Almaden Quicksilver County Park.
You can not believe its san jose
Choices of trails all with beautiful views
Best hiking to do before heading home!!! Stress relief
Very bad
Easy trails that can be crowded at times. Take Cottle to Bald Peaks. Great views and less traffic.
