This is for the thurs evening San Francisco on November 30 2017. It is hit or miss with this group. This is the second time attending one of these shows this year and I groan at the thought of ever having to go back. Tonight was excruciating to watch with one exception. First let’s start with the bad. How did the woman playing maid Luna tick ever get hired? She was lackluster and unbelievably horrible. She droned on in the beginning going over the rules in a way that left us feeling like we had just been scolded for doing something wrong. She couldn’t keep the rooms attention and just bored us to tears with her no talent attempt at humor. The saving grace was the girl who played the guy who ends up dying. We all were saddened to see this person leave the stage area so soon. During the buffet she was lively, engaging and funny with her interactions. Thank goodness she becomes the detective later on and continues to carry the show to make this event bearable. I’d suggest saving your money and find something else for your company get together until they hire more actors that are at the same level as the detective
Last week, myself and three friends attended the Ruth Chris hosted murder mystery dinner. We have attended one a few months before and enjoyed our selves, this time though we had such an extremely fun experience that far surpassed the first one and that is because of Erika and Zach. Zach as Lou was entertaining but the show was stolen by Erikas portrayal of Amanda Lous girlfriend. She was witty with her improvised retorts to things audiences said and she made sure to play with each table through out the evening, making everyone feel as if they were part of the experience. Both Zach and Erika were able to direct the audience and keep them interested. Erikas head shoulder knees and toes bit after everyone had just eaten a delicious steak and shrimp to wake us up out of post dinner lull was brilliant and so much fun. Our team won and enjoyed receiving the best detectives of the night award.Oh, as with any public venue there is always one table that just tries to ruin the evening for everyone. Erikas character was able to handle the hecklers from that table and silence them and Zach was able to deflect their comments with grace.
What a complete waste of my time at work today. Im on a deadline and we had to stop to attend some team building event. the actors were horrible, the chick was annoying and not funny and the dude was a complete idiot. Some bits could have been funny if they had actually been done right. Everyone in my dept at Facebook was in agreement and cant figure out why in the bay area, the people that set this up had only this option? If this is what they are like all the time my advice is to stay away, go get a bottle of booze and take in some netflix instead.
Finally one of these things that actually was humorous and it was all because of the lead female who played Amanda last night at the old spaghetti factory. Ive gone to these things several times over the years and was dreading thexperienfe for a friends birthday until we experienced the force that played the femme fatal Amanda. This girl had us in stitches laughing so hard while being able to command the audience and have them bend to her will her comedic timing and quick witted responses are the reason the entire audience would spontaneously erupt into applause and chanting her name whenever she interacted. During meal service she was attentive and helpful with any dinner plate snsfuz. I would come back but my friends and I all agreed only if this blonde dame was in it.
They treat their actors like nothing. Tacky in enthusiastic show
