I participated in the 6-month Beginning Acting for TV and Film Class. Absolutely worth the money. Challenging to be sure; rewarding without a doubt! Pam is uniquely talented as a coach, instructor, and actor. The classes were well-structured. Assistant Leslie was a great bonus to the class.
I have been taking acting classes for more than a year now at Bay Area Acting Studio. The classes are always fun. Teachers do a great job of keeping the class environment safe and friendly. Most of us were new to acting but improved immensely within a year. Highly recommended whether you want to take up acting professionally or as a hobby.

I was enrolled in the Bay Area Acting Studios Meisner Technique and improv programs for a solid two years. The instructors at BAAS are talented, compassionate, and generous with their time and knowledge. And the quality of BAAS programs is top-notch. The training that I went through built up my confidence as a performer and empowered me to feel more free and authentic in my work.BAAS is a wonderful, diverse community of performers and all-around good people. Whether youre pursuing acting professionally or trying out the programs for fun, BAAS has something for everyone.I cannot recommend the Bay Area Acting Studio enough!
Very nice studio to learn acting. Skilled, friendly and down to earth teachers. A rare find!
Review is for both the studio and the classes (Improv & beginner Meisner, aka TV/Film Acting for Adults), based on so far 3 months of involvement.Studio staff seem responsive and accessible. I made an error when signing up for a class, it immediately got caught (so you know a human looks at everything), and I got pointed in the right direction via email. The classes are taught by experienced and engaging teachers. Theyre _very_ beginner-friendly (lots of folk with little or no acting experience) and create environments where youre free to make mistakes, learn, and grow without judgment. Most of the class content (at the beginner level) seems to be small-group exercises (e.g., games) to focus on specifics, but the educators make a point of emphasizing fundamentals and offering feedback _every_ time. The community around these classes feels positive and rewarding; students also give one another feedback and share their talents. If youre reading these reviews because you want to learn acting/Meisner or improv and are unsure whether youll enjoy the classes, Im confident that you will- and if you wont, people will go out of their way to make sure you do.
Best local acting studio to grow as an actor in the Bay Area with super supportive teachers and community. Teachers are very knowledgable about the industry. A great place to learn the foundation of the Meisner Technique which is perfect for film and TV!
I love the Bay Area Acting Studio. I took Acting for Non Actors in the spring and now am enrolled in a 6 month series for people seriously interested in acting. The benefits are enormous to include making new friends, having fun, stepping out of your comfort zone, learning to be in the moment, and improving your memory and speed of processing. I work with Kyle Chen who is a highly skilled, supportive instructor who gradually challenges you to evolve. We practice skits and get a change to practice being in the moment and performing. I highly recommend Bay Area Acting Studio!! as a wonderful, safe and stimulating place to grow!!
