This is a fantastic San Francisco institution and one that I love visiting. You can hang out by the beach you can go over to the Sea organ which is pretty interesting you can also hang out by the marina green and watch kids sail. My kids recently found in a Regatta here and we had a fantastic time. There is a fantastic donut shop that is part of the harbor that you just have to check out. I love it because it is gluten free donuts.

A gorgeous place to walk around and listen to the wave organ, a natural music area at the very top of this island / pier. There was a small handful of people who knew about the wave organ, and sat to listen to the waves-induced music. And we randomly chatted with a guy near the St. Francis yacht club, who was cleaning the crabs that he had just caught, and he offered to give us some.

Rolex Big Boat Series - one of the best and most well organized events hosted by this club. I have been going for the past several years and I love visiting the club for this event.

At the Yacht club for a corporate function. Staff were fantastic, food was amazing. The caviar on the kettle chips was great, so too as the bite sized beef Wellington. The prime rib at the carving station was delicious! The Club is a great spot, with terrific views of the Golden Gate Bridge and Alcatraz. Would love to go back for another event!!

Great place for offsite meeting

A very nice club, indeed. Both my children have been members for almost ten years. I continue to be impressed by the quality of the venue; food and beverages; the St. Francis sailing tradition; and the diversity and excellence of staff and members. Surprisingly congenial atmosphere, not the sort of stereotypical yacht club one might fear. Lots of interesting people, a very friendly and comfortable place. The dress code is reasonable, and casual in the Grill. Location is unique and prime, flanking the eastern Presidio shoreline, and includes a large portion of the adjoining harbor.

Very well made Manhattan and the steak and lobster special was pretty good.

Hangover brunch one of the best brunches around. Club hosts many regattas including national and world level events. My favourite was J24 worlds. Typically breezy venue. Great 49er and 505 sailing region...plane on. Great workout facility onsite. Fantastic membership.

As a reciprocal sailing club visitor I had to procure an emailed letter of good standing which was not on Adobe or letterhead and was problematic, but I was given a pass and let in. The building itself is massive, containing an entry hall adorned with model ships and paintings. Most impressive are the enormous windows allowing a full view of the bay that very nearly abuts the club. The winds were 25-35 and there appeared to be a regatta. Mondays and Tuesdays are quiet days with a closed restaurant and light bar so there were only a handful of people. Definitely a sophisticated urban feel. All the sailors wore foulies. At the very well-maintained docks were sparkling clean vessels, with staff present. We walked the unsecured grounds briefly before leaving.

Can’t really say much about the club since the club and promoters of the GPS sailing event would not let anyone in that had a camera. Gee, I wonder what all the folks did with their phones - I doubt if anyone would take pictures of videos of the high speed, high tech boats speeding by the viewing stands in the yacht club.

Members and guests only! We always have a great time here - whether for a mid-week drink or a club event, the food and service are always top notch and the views are fantastic.

The Club has the best view in San Francisco, its elegant and casual, and has delicious food, plus plenty of free parking which is an exception for the rest of the city.

Iconic yacht club on the San Francisco Cityfront. Watched my kids sail a lot of regattas here and its really the best viewing. And the club is cool to its guests.

Best views in the city and great bar - whats not to like

Gotta be a member to get in but it is worth it. Huge menu. Come fancy or in your wet sailing clothes. Everyone is friendly here. The desk staff will happily get you a cab or uber or advice on any topic such as places to stay or visit. The bartender is fast, accurate and lots of fun to talk with. They do not accept money because everything goes to the members monthly tab. The water view is one of the best in San Fran, especially during Fleet week. Ive never paid for anything there so I have no idea of what things cost. Highly recommend the yacht club, if you know a member.

Beautiful building in a beautiful location. They have sailing lessons for kids out of the attached Junior Clubhouse. My girls loved sailing camp.

The usual upper crust yacht club in an upscale neighborhood. Views are great, the service charge for non members to pay for food and beverage on a credit card is painful, but they do have a fantastic race committee

My uncle has been a frequent visitor for over 30 years! Was an amazing experience to dine and explore the area! Tasty food makes the views even better!

I have to be honest, Ive only set foot in here once for about half of a second, but they were SO nice. I was nearby and had cut my foot and needed a bandaid and the people here treated me so nicely. They gave me all kinds of bandages, first aid cream, etc. and let me use the bathroom to bandage myself up. Really kind - makes me want to learn more about this place!

Best place for lunch and dinner, but of course you have to be a member. Their restaurants and service are far excellent to some SF restaurants and the view is superb.

Outstanding lunch with great people

You wont find the stereotypical yacht club attitude at the St. Francis YC. The staff, officers and members are very open, friendly and helpful to all of us civilian non-members who come to the club for races or other events. Its a great place to spend some time for drinks, lunch or dinner, while looking at all the great paintings, photos, trophies and boat models on display.
