Salsa Wednesday is really amazing. I happen to be here when San Francisco salsa festival is held. The performances are amazing. Especially the one from Amanda. I had great fun dancing salsa here. Bar tenders are very friendly and respectful. The dancers are from everywhere around the world that night. All the locals I met are supper friendly. It’s a great event.

Face off Fridays is every 1st Friday of the month and its my favorite. Dj Rastaroot has the most amazing mixes. I spend most of the night remarking to my bf how I WOULDVE NEVER THOUGHT OF THAT as if I DJ outside of my mind. Hip Hop, R&B, Reggae, Dancehall, anything that gets your body moving. It gets crowded fast though, so get there early and enjoy

Nice place but they had a girl at the door who basically rejected two hot girls from LA because of $20. What a loss! The management should look into this.

We came early before 8, bought food and drinks, but still had to pay cover charge. His excuse wasnt right, plus he had a bad smell. I give it 0 stars.

We got there and we were told that we can’t have jackets on, but also we were told that they didn’t have a coat check lol! Music was good, even though I asked Dj to play my song and he never played it. He seemed like he never heard about song Elizabeth (Jose Manuel) ;) At the end of the night I asked a girl behind the bar and the manager for the wifi password in order to call an uber driver and I was told that they don’t have wifi (what a joke). It could be very nice place, but customer service needs to be improved a lot!!! Other then that, I really enjoyed latino music and being the only “gringo” there! PURA VIDA

Good music, miss Dario and his band though. Came Friday (11/25/2016)with my husband and we danced the night away, had a great time. Caught the 48 after, glad there are buses that run late.

This place has dj only but would be nice if they had a band play music like it had before

Good music and a worldly crowd. The place opened up to a dance floor and everyone started going for it. Mixed crowd from walk-ons to medium pros (maybe pros). Sound system isnt the best but is kept within tolerable limits to hold a decent conversation.Good spot for Zouk on the fly Thursday nights. Quality old wood flooring about 40x40 and a disco ball! Great social dance spot that SF needs more of.

Very good music and atmosphere. The food and drinks prices are excellent. Very good salsa music. There is salsa classes for beginners on Wedsneday.

One of the best places to dance in the SF area. The floor isnt that great, but the better dancers usually come out over here. If youre a hardcore on2 dancer, then a place you should try when in the area.

I dont know about the food - never tried it there, but el Valenciano (or el V, as we call it), is my favorite bar by far. You should meet the bartender! This guy is the most generous bartender on Earth ;-) No drink is too weak there. I go to el V to dance every week. Dancing may be good or not so good, depending on the people who show up, but the drinks are always perfect. Best drinks in the bay area.Once I forgot my cell phone in the bar. I realized it the next day and thought it was gone. But then I called there and talked to the bartender. He found it and held it for me, and even refused to take the money when I tried to give it to him as my gratitude. Fantastic place!

One of the best places to dance old salsa (mambo, guaguanco, guarija). Very good Dj and great dancers. Good atmosphere and very friendly people as well as the promoter.If you are on2 dancer, you need to check this place. Highly recommended!

I was just at a night of dancing to a [indeed] world-class Argentine Tango orchestra. The atmosphere is as if in a club in Buenos Aires. So recommend to all tango-afficionados!

Racist customers and workers as well as the man who used to own it ! 2 of the bartenders are friendly, thats it. If you are not Latino you are not very welcome there! To small as well.
