This is an underrated and inconspicuous museum, but the story they tell is quite interesting and different from all other war museums I had been to. This one is focused on how life used to be for the POW’s under Japanese rule, and how the Chinese helped ease the suffering as much as they could. Definitely an interesting place to visit if you’re in SF!
Its important for Americans to learn more about the Pacific/Asian theater of WWII, and theres no better place to learn about the war vis-à-vis China than in the middle of San Franciscos Chinatown.
The history happened in the past.Nanjing Massacre and contest to kill 100 people using a sword,Bataan Death March,Sook Ching.
Worth your time, very informative
This is america-共産党 relations info. But it is WRONG that Japanese soldier cut chinese slaves by sword. That is chinese propaganda.
Simple and awesome museum. Worth the visit. Great to see a different face of WWII.
Nice staff and very informative.
Great place!
