While walking on Fillmore Street in San Francisco, a beautiful work of art that was displayed the Junior Leagues second-hand store window caught my eye. The inexpensive price on the hang tag further commanded my attention, so I walked in to take a closer look at the piece. After I decided to buy it, I took it to the sales register, where and when the salesperson decided upon her own inspection of the piece that it was incorrectly priced. She then bundled the piece in her arms and disappeared with it to a back room--presumably for safekeeping until she could buy it for herself.
I absolutely love the JLSF. The women are exceptional, the events are incredible, the volunteer work is rewarding and fulfilling and the community involvement really helps you feel a part of the city. I loved the friendships I made because the women were so generous and kind, thoughtful, brilliant, accomplished, lovely, fun, welcoming and made me love San Francisco and get to know the City. Anyone that is remotely thinking of joining should jump in. Its the best way to make friends and find a family in another city. :)
I have made so many wonderful new friends within this organization who are dedicated to giving back to the community. amazing experience.
Amazing group of strong women leaders in the community
