Very sorry to say this, but I got very ill from some fish that was served two days ago at The Grill. It was offered as the special of the day so I thought it would be fresh. It was not. Not cooked properly and raw on the inside. I should’ve sent it back but I decided not to since I was with a dear old friend. Anyway, I was sick all day and through the night. I don’t think I need to give the details about that. Otherwise I have always enjoyed The Olympic Club.

Even more elegant all decked out for Christmas! The service was attentive, without being stuffy. The food was excellent.

Both famous and wonderful private club - generations of San Franciscans have been members. In the 80s - the Old Boys Club - had one (1) female waiter - Brigid C.- she was sterling! She was very Well loved/respected by all and she put up /dealt wisely with shenanigans...Then, The Wives began a campaign to get more female servers. Done.

Ah, yes, a golf course. Looking past the absurd water consumption, the logistics and environmental impact of construction a golf course on what was a sand dune, and the air of prestige specifically enveloping The Olympic Club, it’s super nice!

If you get invited to a party here, go! Old school San Francisco with terrific food and service.

Historic Golf club that is private so you need to be invited if you’re not a member. The greens are quite fabulous but the bunkers (lake course) are pretty insane.

Always a great spot for a wedding reception. Members only.At the edge of the Olympic Club Golf Course, the Clubhouse has a relaxing full bar, a well appointed dining room, and a dance floor.The food is always good and served by cheerful and accommodating waitstaff.My only criticism would be that the dancing area, while adequate in size, needed a few more tables, or at least more chairs on the perimeter.

Too many wonderful things to say about, The Olympic Club in San Francisco. This is where we have our family Christmas Dinners and my husband and I had our Wedding Reception here as well. Family members of The Olympic Club at Lakeside. Beautiful, spectacular and charming!!!

Very top end members only club offering good food. Probably caters to an older clientele. They stringently enforce there dress codes so be warned prior to showing up in jeans.

Absolutely great golf course. Played it as our last stop on the west coast swing. Easily my favorite (from a golf perspective). Enjoyed the beauty of the Pebble Beach courses, but thought golf was better at Olympic!!

This illustrious private golf club (open to members and their guests only) is home to the world renowned Lake and Ocean courses, as well as the 9-hole par-3 Cliffs course. The Lake course, one of the most famous layouts on the US Open Championship roster, is laid out on the lake side of a sandy ridge, which lies between the Pacific Ocean and Lake Merced.

Having golfed this course on TW PGA 06, the course design, in my opinion, is very monotonous and bland: The oak trees which line every single hole of the course are very, very uninteresting and do not add anything to the scenery. Nearly every single hole is the same: Fairways are all the same width, greens are all about the same size. Nearly every hole seems like the same length, with fairways that dog-leg......or quasi-dog-leg. The Olympic Club Lake course is one of the most monotonous and uninspiring golf courses I have ever played on.One of the many things I have in common with Tiger Woods is that I struggle mightily on wet/slow greens. Nearly all my first-attempt putts came up short on about every hole. For the death of a pig (that is, the death of a cop), I could not adjust my putting speed throughout the round: Every putt kept coming up short -even when I thought that I was putting it too hard. I ended up shooting an 8 over par; a respectable round but I still feel like a scratch golfer.....when I would like to think that in the future I should ...... in some eon future ..... I should eventually wind up as a golfing jedi.......

Nice members only restaurant decorated for the Christmas Holidays. Great service but expect the tab to be $30 or more per person for lunch.

My daughter got married there today and everything, and everyone, was as beyond our expectations.

The dinner buffet here was pretty good.I loved the duck buns with plum sauce. The prime rib was pretty good too!However, the crab legs were over salted... and dessert didnt look very appetizing but they tasted ok.@$75 per person I think its a little pricey but overall the food was pretty good.

One of the best courses I’ve ever been on. Burger Dog at the turn is a must do.

Well, this is an easy one . . . A super golf course that is well maintained and very helpful and friendly staff! It is really a fu and challenging course . . . . Prefer Ocean to Lake but Lake is warmer!

Annual feast. Caesar salad, raviolis, crab and if you can... dessert. Super yummy.
