Im not sure what the person who rated 1 star was on about.. I came in wearing sweat pants and hoodie and made it clear when I went in there I was just looking. I talked to Denis (the owner) for 20 minutes about the different pieces as well as history of the city and our personal lives. I was very happy to have such a positive encounter out of a spontaneous experience.

My daughter bought a piece of art from the Dr. Seuss collection. I cant remember the curators name, dark hair, petite, (Im so sorry!), but she was suberb. She thoroughly discussed the provenance of the purchase. The gallery was awesome, displays are well done and some fascinating pieces. There is also a quiet comfort zone with wing back chairs - my favorite! Highly recommended, the grandchildren loved it!

From my experience, the owners of this gallery aren’t honest with their artists. They wont pay me what they owe for sold paintings. When you buy art here, it appears you’re just giving THEM your money.

Small gallery with a half dozen artists featured at a time. Relaxing atmosphere. Dr. Seuss had a whole section when I went, mostly high quality reproductions. Is never seen his paintings before so that was great.

Very nice gallery with a lot of art work by famous people. They are currently featuring works by Dr. Seuss. They were very fascinating and showed a side of him that few ever knew about.

Theyre showing a beautiful art collection from Dr Seuss. Just AMAZING! They have other pieces of art really beautiful. It was a wonderful visit.

This was such a fun and interesting gallery. Dr Suess exhibit. Snoopy artwork as well.

If you have about $50,000 laying around to spend on art, I think you could safely say that this is the place to do it. A lot of the pieces really spoke to me in there and I can tell you for sure that if I had that much cash laying around I would most certainly be buying some art from Denniss Ray. We were just walking through San Francisco and kind of just stumbled across it because the location was so convenient.

We saw the Dr. Seuss exhibition and it was great. Heard some really interearing explanations about the peices we looked at as well. A fun visit.

DONT WASTE YOUR TIME - just to be looked down on, insulted or treated inferior to the owner or manager (I didnt even get it out of him)!We stopped in the gallery while wandering around Fishermans Wharf - to take a look at some of the great work they had on display (Id noticed some Charles Schutz Peanuts) pieces which my mother is a big fan of! There were also some other unique works on display.We tried chatting with the owner / manager (whichever he was?) seated at a desk - only to be dismissed with any question or comment we made to him. He was unimpressed with any conversation I tried to have with him and could care less if we were in there or not! He didnt offer to help us, ask if we were interested in anything, or even get up from his desk. It was a Pretty Woman moment - being treated as if he knew I couldnt afford anything in there. Well, as in the film, BIG MISTAKE on his part! I had come into a large amount of money recently and wanted to purchase some artwork for my home! There were several pieces that I would have been interested in buying - but after being dismissed in that way - we walked out. I mentioned to my cousin that I would be writing a YELP review on the gallery!I HOPE that he and his gallery are out of business soon!He doesnt deserve to own or manage one - or be in business, PERIOD!
