Makes you cry from the beauty of the voices. Top Rate when given full artistic freedom.

I saw Aida yesterday and it was definitely overpriced for what was offered. Despite overall good music, the stage was poorly arranged with absolutely no scenography (this is 50% of the beauty of this opera). Very far away from the Aida I saw in Milan for the same price.

We saw wicked in this theater and it was lovely. The orchestra was incredible!! It really made the show to have live music. The stage was a great space. There were concessions on every level. Great experience.

Here is the bottom line: I just cant spend $50 on a ticket in the nosebleed section, no matter how much I want to see an opera. So a note to the SD Opera itself: You will become irrelevant to younger generations very quickly unless you loosen up your ticket prices, or offer discounts, or something similar. The economic situation for younger generations is exceptionally different than what it was for the baby boomers that make up much of your audience when they were our age.We cannot afford the things they could afford when they were younger, and this includes expensive opera tickets. It is a brutal fact that unless you get younger people interested in (and able to attend) the opera, you will go the way of the dinosaurs in short order. By removing yourself as an entertainment option now, you ensure that you will be out of our sight and therefore out of our contemplation later.Im not insensitive to the need to make money to cover the costs of a production. But you all seem to be insensitive to the need to carry on as an institution in the long term. I applaud the innovation you have shown in choosing shows that will interest nontraditional opera-goers. Now that you have our attention, please put some effort into making your tickets affordable enough that we can go see them.

Really loved the San Diego Opera! We went there to see Florencia en el Amazonas and it was a blast. It is only my second Opera, my first being at the Massimo Theater in Palermo Sicily where they preformed Don Giovanni. I had a great time and I really appreciate the San Diego Operas support for the military. Cant wait to see my next Opera here!

Amazing and a great place to see an opera as the have a digital board above the stage so you know what they are singing.

An excellent opera company delving into new ideas for opera in the 21st century while keeping standard grand opera alive.

SAN DIEGO OPERAWow!! The great unwashed got pummeled with solo and choral performances that left my jaw gaping at the Sicilian Festa yesterday in Little Italy. Yup - that good. The drama that colored every aria would make a country-western angst riddled ballad seem like a breakfast food jingle. I regret that my iPhone ran out of juice before I could record more video. Most tragic is that the San Diego Opera is in dire financial straits. Listen to them in person once, and youll be reaching into your pockets so fast for a donation youll be bringing up pieces of underwear with the bills. Kudos and fist bumps to all you magnificent chorus members. You Rock!!Luis Magdaleno

Where Is The Attorney Generals Report On This Scam? The Money THOSE TWO PISSED AWAY ON THEMSELVES . . . . is criminal . . .and the San Diego Opera Should LOOSE Its Non-Profit Status Until This Is Resolved.. Just because some botox wife paid off the contract shouldnt mean anything . . . MILLIONS LOST to reckless oversight..
