So peaceful and such a beautiful place. Especially at night when you can see the night life city.
Really cool, view of the city
God bless America
Excellent 360 views of San Diego from here this is a must DO whenever you are in the bay area.
This place is somewhere that offers incredible views of the entire San Diego area but also is so much more than that. Mount Soledad monument is such an impressive place to spend some time walking around looking at all of the granite dedications to servicemen and women the world has lost over the years. Every time we have company come to town we bring them here and they are always just in awe of the whole thing. If you are visiting San Diego or if you live here and they have just never made the trip yet you should definitely check out Mount Soledad
Such an amazing view...
Great views. However, the city should move the south bench which oversees downtown San Diego about 10 feet to the right. As it is now all you see while youre sitting at it is a giant shrub and hand washing station. Really?
A breathtaking view and a wonderful memorial to those who served our country.
I like Claremont chef’s academy and discovery cube museum.
Its a beautiful view of La Jolla beach from up there! Just no place to park just little spots between some houses to see the view.
Has a nice veiw good walk
Mount Soledad is a prominent landmark in the city of San Diego, California, United States. The mountaintop is the site of the Mount Soledad cross, the subject of a 25-year controversy over the involvement of religion in government which concluded in 2016.The 822-foot (251 m) tall hill[3] lies between Interstate 5 to the east and the Pacific Ocean to the west. It is mostly within the community of La Jolla where the northern and eastern slopes form a sharp escarpment along the Rose Canyon fault. The community of Pacific Beach is on the gentler southern slope. There are several radio and television transmitters located on the summit including KFMB-TV and KGTV, the CBS and ABC affiliates respectively
The view of San Diego from this place is just awesome! There really isnt much to do up there, but man you have to check out the view if youre in the area!
Remember our fallen comrades from the Yangtze Campaign of 2066. Rest in peace.
Spectacular views. Beautiful memorial dedicated to all military veterans
Great view both at night and during the day.
Another one of my favorite spots in La Jolla. Go there and get a great view of a sunset!
Love this spot, its one of my favorites views around San Diego, you can appreciate a huge part from the city and then at the other side you can see the ocean,Its a perfect spot if you like to ride the bike or even if you like to hike, and appreciate the city.If you just go for the view if fine go whenever you want but I highly recommend do it during an early morning so you can see the clouds close
Great view of the San Diego city its so pretty.
Breathtaking view of La Jolla and San Diego.
Memorial is impressive. Nice views.
A MUST SEE IF YOU ARE VISITING: USE Mt. Soledad Veterans Memorial IN GPS. A Veterans memorial, formerly known as the Mount Soledad Easter Cross. In 2016, the U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals dismissed the case which wanted to remove the Soledad Cross.Beautiful location, 360 degree view! Many people visit here all throughout the day starting before sunrise. Many cyclists ride up to the top of this location. Great place to have a intimate conversation.Portable toilet with plenty of room to move around in. Drinking fountains.
Mount Soledad is a lovely monumet to our heroes and affords an awesome view of the coast line.
Peaceful. Thoughtful place. Great views.
A beautiful Memorial Park overlooking the ocean and La Jolla.
This is a must-visit when youre in San Diego. While its not the fastest spot to reach, it is easy to get in the park, and parking is free (when you can find a spot). There are about 10 parking spots near the cross, and another small parking lot just a short walk down the driveway. The 360° views are absolutely outstanding, especially in good weather. There are grassy areas for relaxing and having a picnic. While there are no picnic tables, shades, or trees, there are a few cement benches so you can take a load off and soak in the sights. Dont leave without seeing many plaques giving memory to our fallen soldiers. And while youre next to the cross, say a prayer for this great country and city.
Nice but busy view from this location. Absolutely love the christian cross on this mountain top️️Enjoy the view, but be ready for traffic up here.
Marvelous view of La Jolla and the cove!
Amazing view from here! So worth it!
Beautiful Memorial
Just like others have said, this marker is off a few blocks. Cant figure out how to point that out to Google

A beautiful memorial that also offers great views of the area. the scene from anchorman was shot somewhere on this hill.
Great place to see the surrounding area. Nice views
Such a great site from all over the city. Very humbling once you are there. Thank a veteran, help a vertan, hug a veteran.
Of course I love this location
Nice view
Beautiful views and houses. Nice place to relax
Nice place for take a breath and enjoy the view of the city
Very good view over San Diego.
We walked up to the memorial from La Jolla in September last year. It was worthwhile.Apart from breathtaking views of the Pacific at La Jolla, Torrey Pines golf course and the University of California we spent hours just searching through all of the photographs of military personnel, both American and otherwise. Actors, presidents, prime ministers etc.The name Soledad is Spanish for solitude but it does not feel lonely or isolated.
This place is hard to beat on a clear day!
A perfect sunrise and sun set spot . If you want to see san diego from a 360 degree view this is the place for you . Also a memorial for our soliders who have died in wars. MT. solidad is a good spot to just let yourself decompress.
