Went to hear the North Shores Big Band celebrating their longtime director Rey Vinoles retirement. The musicians were great. The song selection was good and the arrangements were fantastic. The sound system was terrible. Low rumbling feedback. Never could hear the vocalists or Rey or any of the voices or lead instruments very well. Id have to think twice about attending another event here unless I checked first to assure the act I went to see had their own sound person and equipment.

Pierre-Yves Plat was a brilliant discovery. Disappointed in the place though. I expected a Jazz dive, not a bingo hall style repurposed room. I felt that I came for a school recital.

Never been to a jazz concert before this one as Im not a huge fan of this type of music but mainly went to support up and coming young musicians which I believe this venue does and very well. Not a huge place but big enough to create a great atmosphere and sound. There is a good size car park too.

Noel Paul Stookey concert. Good venue, good sound, great music. He never fails to inspire. Pretty warm inside; perhaps they could have run the A/C before the concert and then turned it off during, so as not to interfere with the sound quality?

San Diegos best kept live jazz secret. The finest of San Diegos jazz musicians play here in this quiet hideaway on Morena Boulevard. Tickets sold at the door with open seating. Casual place that unfortunately does not serve food or drink.

Low key jazz hideaway in the industrial park right off of Morena Blvd in San Diegos Bay Park. Unassuming joint, no bar, auditorium sound, but the talent lives and plays here. Must check out .

Low key performing arts gathering place. 4 stars due to signage being very hard to find at night and you have to put away your own folding chair which was not easy for those who had walkers or were older. Establishment is tucked behind a warehouse building. Classic jazz. Alexis Joie sang and her performance was incredible. No food and beverage is served.

Great little jazz club for the community. It is kinda rudimentary...folding chairs and decore reminiscent of a middle school cafeteria. But, it is a place to go for the music. Professionals, young performers, local and legends.

Catered to the concert! A listening hall for enthusiasts and those battling in the trenches of the fight to keep Jazz as alive and well - as it should be.Intimate and off the beaten path but much like the jazz at Dizzys - it doesnt try to be cool it simply is cool... **Snaps fingers**

Real homey atmosphere; put your chair where you want, enjoy the show. Good music in a small intimate venue. What more can you ask for?

It was so hot. The air conditioning did not work and the powers that be thought we should not open the doors for the breeze from mission Bay. The folding chairs were very uncomfortable. The music was great

Great show by Ari Hoenig yesterday. Sound levels were off (piano and bass were too low, drums too high), and agreed upon by others I spoke with. I really love that Dizzys pulls great talent to San Diego and that it seems like a small operation (so I understand they are trying), but the venue was lacking in amenities that one would expect with a jazz venue. I hope they can find a permanent venue that works a little more in their favor.

Bare bones music venue for jazz lovers. Rehearsal hall with folding chairs, light snack bar. Up close & real, young performers but a great music experience

The music was great. Casual atmosphere. The venue wasnt much to write home about. We had to set up our own chairs. By the time the musician had started, they had run out of chairs, so it was standing room only. The hall had a musty, mildew smell, so if you have allergies, be forewarned.

The music is the REAL kind, very rare but SUCH a delight! The venue is like a huge cafeteria where they hold the school play, they could really bring the place to life..... If they tried. But the music scene makes it worth it!

Dizzy’s is the Jazz place in San Diego if you love the music, and don’t care about being seen and you love seeing undiscovered or little-known artists. I loved being able to bring my teenaged daughter, they serve snacks but no liquor.
