I love Mees Art. I was happy to be able to purchase a small piece. Such a beautiful gallery as well. I highly recommend visiting.I do Not love the pushy sales lady though. She ruins the experience and has no respect for boundaries.

Love the art - a gorgeous mixture of real & surreal...I was reading 1 of the walls out loud to my spouse (on Mee Shims background)... & a lady in the back corner room said something to me which startled me & made me jump since I hadnt noticed her earlier lol.I perused over all the art pieces & ended up in the back corner room... I suddenly & surprisingly noticed all the art supplies (paint, brushes etc) in the far corner so asked the lady if she was the artist & she indeed was! Id assumed she was just the friendly receptionist so it was lovely to meet Mee Shim in person. I told her Id found her in google & her gallery was a top 10 attraction for San Diego

Mee Shim it seems, is concerned with exploring the vast recesses of the given subjects subconscious mind. She explores these selected facial expressions with a sublime color palette that reinforces her subjects memories and visions. Human experiences that are illustrated and painted in a surreal style that reflects and captures moments of significant events in lives fulfilled by beautiful accomplishments.

In my work as a freelance journalist, I experience the great privilege of interviewing very talented San Diego artists. Sarah Stieber is one, and she just opened a three-week Summer Gallery at Mee Shim Fine Art. Her magical paintings depict what she calls electric realism, and this particular show features painted portraits of womens faces to counter the much-too-often display of faceless and headless female bodies in ads and artworks.

Her art is amazing and she has some very affordable prints as well as collectors quality oils

I was stunned when I saw paintings that depicted my own internal visualizations. It was such a surreal and emotional moment for me. I was on a quick getaway with my husband when we wandered onto this lovely gallery. Such a blessing, I look forward to the day I am able to return.

Happened by Mee Shims art gallery tonight in Litlt Italy... I cant stop thinking about her paintings! So vibrant! I feel inadequate to even comment. I LOVE HER WORK!!!

A real gem in the middle of Little Italy. The gallery contains colorful art painted on surfaces like canvas and aluminum. I met Mee Shim and she was very friendly.

Hands down the best gallery in town. Mee is my favorite artist in San Diego, her work is so complicated but at the same time accessiable to everyone! Thanks Mee, my family and I had an amazing time! We will be back!
