Overall very comfortable stay. Rooms and building are very clean. Felt very safe in regards to covid restrictions and location is the best! Would definitely book again.

We will definitely will be coming back. Not only is the hotel super cute, complete with kitchenette and ocean view, but it was extremely clean and sanitized. We stayed here very last minute when we were forced to evacuate due to the Silverado fire. The staff at the front desk was extremely kind and accommodating. We weren’t sure how long we needed to stay and they extended our stay day by day as needed and let us know we could leave whenever we needed with no cancellation fee. They made sure we had what we needed to be comfortable. And the hotel is walking distance to the beach (right across the street!) so we had lots of fun with the kids eating ice cream and walking on the sand. We definitely recommend this hotel.

Of all the choices of hotels and resorts where I might stay when visiting San Clemente, San Clemente Cove Resort is my favorite. It’s location across from the pier and it’s proximity to the beach trails and restaurants along Del Mar make it ideal. The units are comfortable and have everything you need for a prolonged visit with fully equipped kitchen and newly refurbished rooms.

This beach is very fun. It is fun to walk on the pier and look out into the ocean. I also enjoy walking in the sand of this beach because it feels very nice. There are a lot of people surfing at this beach because there are not too many rocks which is good. I give this place five stars out of five

We were able to find a good deal from a 3rd party site. The price for the location was outstanding. Just a few steps to the sand of a great kid friendly beach and pier. Downtown San Clemente shops and restaurants are a 5-10 minute walk up the hill. The hotel was very very clean which was nice in COVID times. Each room has a partial ocean view and an enjoyable patio to enjoy the view and weather. Hotel staff was very communicative and willing to help with anything needed.We will definitely be back again!!Things to be aware of1. Cellular service inside the hotel is pretty much non-existent. Verizon, TMobilie, Sprint all didnt work. Not the hotels fault, but the provided Wifi service is also very very lacking. Will barely work and must be sometime of cable modem service as between hours of 8p-11p, speeds grind to a halt.2. Parking in the provided garage is tight. Larger SUVs and Trucks will have a very difficult (if not impossible time). The location allows you to park it and leave it as you can walk most places.

I love the location of the Cove. It is right across the street from the pier. I love the views and the quiet except for the waves. You can check out beach chairs, umbrellas, sand toys all free and boogie boards for $5.00 all day. It really is a nice place with great staff. It is small as there are only 1 bedrooms. The mattresses are wonderful and you should get a nice nights sleep on them as long as it is not too hot out- then the rooms heat up as there is no air conditioning. Ask the front desk for fans, and they will deliver to your room. Open your patio door and entrance door with the fan and you will cool down. It is wonderful.

We booked here through our travel club. It was the closest place to Disneyland, we were a bit bothered at how far away it was from Disney, but after arriving and spending a few days, I wouldn’t have changed our plans even if we could.The staff are amazing. Mid week they called us, asking if we wanted to move to an ocean view room. They didn’t have to, but they called. Amazing! They were so sweet all the way through the check in process and throughout the week.We even had a package delivered to the front desk. When we ordered the item we didn’t know which room we’d be in, so we just had it addressed to myself and delivered to the front desk.I love the convenience to the beach, it’s right across the street. There are several restaurants around the corner, Mexican, pizza, and seafood. Surfing is great too.One frustrating thing that we found was the parking. There aren’t many spots, and they’re tiny.. but we found that they have a lower level parking area too that most people don’t know about. Make sure you park there!All in all you’ll be thrilled with the place. And for the price you can’t beat it!

Location is great. Room not comfortable for 4 adults. No air or cross ventilation. Sofa bed uncomfortable. No daily cleaning and street noise made it hard to sleep in since windows needed to be open for ventilation. Staff was courteous and checking In was easy. Checking out more involved since we needed to remember to return garage opener and car placard along with keys.

This place is AMAZING!! We will definitely be back. Only next time well ask for a better view of the ocean early.

Wonderful customer service. Free beach items like chairs and umbrellas to take to the beach. They dont nickle and dime you and the room was amazing. Very happy with our stay.

Rooms are nice with some modem upgrades. Great location, most rooms have a ocean view and just s stones throw from the beach. The from desk offers movies, beach chairs, sand toys and such for free. The boogie boards are $5 per day. Very friendly staff.

The Cove was a surprisingly great stay! They have a great staff and Shannon went out of her way to make our stay special. Many daily activities both at The Cove and in the area. The Fishermans Restaurant & Bar is a 5 minute walk to the pier where they offer daily happy hour specials on food and beverages. Were planning a late summer return.

There is no more exciting place to stay in Southern California to enjoy the beach and the ocean than the San Clemente Cove...super accommocations, great staff, wonderful views and right next to the pier and great places to eat! And the sunsets are awesome!!

My reservation was cancelled the day prior to my arrival - even though I prepaid.Additionally, after one night in a subpar hotel - I was asked to come back for the remaining 2 nights. I was checked into room 205 - which had construction (jackhammers) being used on my external wall. The sound was deafening. I contacted the front dest (Monique) several times and was told there was nothing they could do about it. I have stayed at 100s of hotels and resorts worldwide - never have I had an experience like this. I am completely dissatisfied.

This is a timeshare property which sometimes rents out nightly. We are owners and love it here. The staff go out of their way to make your visit great. Its always very clean and neat. If you can get a oceanview room, do it. Its worth it. Cant beat the location. Across the street from the beach and pier. Its walking distance to downtown san Clemente restaurants and shops. They have all the beach stuff to use. There is a kitchen also which was great for making Pina Coladas and simple meals.

Location is the best. Staff is extremely helpful. Feels like visiting family for a week.

Cute studio apartment with a Murphy bed, fireplace, kitchen, & plenty of room for 2 people. The best part was the OCEAN VIEW which could be enjoyed from the spacious balcony and the apartment. Restaurants and the pier were in the immediate neighborhood. Secure parking was included and check in staff were friendly and helpful.

We will absolutely be back and stay longer! The staff was so polite and efficient, the location is outstanding and the accommodation great!

It was close to the pier and less of a hike to return. The under building parking was a joy! Parking would have been a problem without that. The building has an elevator so moving luggage was no problem.

I loved the picturesque view. The resort was very comfortable with a fireplace and kitchen. It is right across the street from the pier to dine during breakfast and dinner at the fishersmens restaurant which we had an excellent dinner outside watching the waves break shore and the sand pipers running around. There are a few shops to purchase novelty gifts. The view of the ocean is breathtaking. I would recommend it to anyone.

I found the lighting to be strange, dim, and noisy in the bathroom sink areas. I loved how clean everything was. I liked being right by the beach. I wish Id had a full view. I tried to extend my stay by a day and went on a wild goose chase online, by phone and in person - turns out it wasnt possible...even though the staff told me my room was available...bummer. I really like the location.

Clean. Great views. Friendly staff. Mostly quiet (can hear the train and crossing signal with the windows open). Some antiquated ideas that need updated (eg. They have DVD rentals, but you have to pay for them). Even though I was only a day guest, I would stay here for and extended period.

Ill start with My one and only problem. My only complaint is that the location is a little difficult, not sure where to park while checking in.The scenery is perfect, we have an amazing view of the water, the staff are friendly, the rooms are generously sized, the ammenities are fantastic, the service is professional.I could not be happier with my stay, and while the rate may seem steep, it seems to me you get more than what you pay for.I absolutely will stay here again

Great place to stay for a few nights. Spacious rooms, clean facilities and excellent location.

Never got to stay on property so cant speak to cleanliness etc. of the rooms.However, experienced some of the worst customer service. Booked through a 3rd party and for some reason booking property didnt have record of our booking even though I had a confirmation number etc. While inconvenient, what was most distressing was manager on dutys apparent lack of concern and sympathy. When I asked for suggestions of other local hotels she might suggest contacting her response was that she couldnt help.Great location, but based on customer service, or lack thereof, would never book at this property.

We stayed here on the spur of the moment a week previous to this trip. Our room did not have much of a view but I attributed that to the fact that it was a last minute resevation. Not any fault of the Resorts. We booked a condo for the following weekend hoping to get a nicer room. I called on Wednesday and asked about the room with a view I was told they dont assign rooms until the day before the reservation. So I called 3 times on Saturday and just got voicemail. I called Sunday morning and was told by [...] (In a very unfriendly way) that she does not assign rooms until we actually arrive at the resort. OK, so we drive 130 miles to the resort and get there 3 hours before check in. All we wanted was to get the room assigned, we did not expect to actually get the keys until check in time and we explained that to her. Again, she was quite rude and told us we couldnt get the room assigned until we actually checked in. Why she was being so difficult is just beyond me. The other young lady was extremely friendly and even called us in the room to welcome us. The young man from the previous weekend was also very helpful and friendly. The Manager [...] just has no people skills whatsoever.Its unfortunate, but I think she single handedly has precluded us from ever staying there again. That being said, the place has a great location, decent rooms and the price, to me, was much less than I would have been willing to pay. I would have paid double without batting an eye.
