San Clemente Municipal Golf Course

The golf course is in great shape. The people there are very nice. But I gotta say Ive never had worse service in my life.

Cant expect an amazing golf course but definitely the best muni around unless youre comparing it to Torrey. Cheap oceans views and a ton of character. Tee times were 15min apart today and thats the fastest this course has ever played- 3hr 55min. That should be the new standard for tee times.

Super quaint and fun. Everyone’s layback, great for a casual round of golf.

Golf shop staff always is top notch. Course is in good shape, minus t boxes. Cant beat a 3 hour round though!

Went for breakfast on a Sunday. 1st time and will definitely make this part of the local rotation. Definitely a value priced, yet limited menu. Service is attentive and friendly. Indoor and outdoor seating.

If you show respect its possible to play a hole or two or drive a few before dark,its a nice little course.

Best municipal Golf Course in Southern California barring Torrey Pines. Prices are reasonable and the course is usually in Fairly good condition. Theres some good twilight rates as well if youre looking to get on 49 at a reasonable rate. They also offer special rates for locals. Ask how to get a locals card it used to be around 50 bucks Im not sure what it is now.

Its a nice park, but there was a continuous hail of white balls, and there were quite a few people racing tall go-carts along the walkways. I wouldnt recommend trying to have a picnic under one of the flags - the hail is particularly bad there.

Fairways in real good condition (seem to be kept long so not much roll on drives) ; greens recovering from punching two weeks ago not much break on most greens but tendecy to break towards the Pacific; tee boxes in rough shape. Great course to walk.

Best course, prices, food + drink, and staff in OC. I’ve played every course and this one takes the cake.

Beautiful, well-maintained undulating fairways and unpredictable greens, well-placed bunkers and very challenging layout, not to mention wind conditions which could get stronger towards the end of the day and could change direction any minute One the best municipal golf courses I have played in. Tip: all greens break towards the ocean. If you cant see where the ocean is, the sound of vehicles from the freeway will serve as a good guide. In addition, the bar/restaurant is a great place to hang out after a game.

Very nice well kept course with challenging greens and long fairways. All the locals are friendly and if your military you pay local price around $40 for 18 and riding. You can set up a tee time or walk on.

A very challenging and fun course. Fantastic views on every hole. Despite my worst score ever this is my new favorite course. And yes. Every green breaks towards the ocean.

I FOUND MY NEW FAVORITE COURSE. Inexpensive but well maintained, a simple layout that is challenging, a knowledgeable and friendly. Good practice facilities. I plan on playing here as much as I can.

Outstanding course. Great pro shop.The course is fun and open. The greens will test you and as one guy pointed out already most of the greens do break towards the ocean regardless of what your eyes are telling you. Have fun!

I enjoy playing this course. Its a good value. Nice facilities, decent fairways and nice greens.

This course has a fun layout, with the first 12 holes being pretty wide open and the last 6 a bit more challenging. There are great ocean views from several spots (especially the 15 green). I like the staff there, and the players I get paired up with are usually fun people that enhance the round. It is walkable, but the last few holes get a bit hilly so be forewarned. Definitely worth a shot though if you are looking for a reasonable priced, ocean view course that will test your skills.

This is a very nice golf course and they do give veterans a discount so if you want to play during the week show them youre a veterans card and you will play for at the resident rate which is $35 including the cart takes about 4 to 5 hours to play a round of 18 and its very challenging lot of par-fives apart Forest and you wont be disappointed but course is immaculate and very well maintained the carts need to be rebuilt as they make a lot of clunking and screeching and my car had a flat tire.. they were very fast on fixing it and getting me another cart.

Great value! Good pace! Super nice staff. Hooked us up on some range balls. And even went out of the way to refund us for a senior discount when they realized I was playing with my father. Like they came out to the t box with cash in hand.

Close to the ocean and always a nice breeze to cool you down. I enjoy playing here. It is a little weird that you pass the snack and pro shop after the 7th hole... I feel like Im playing 11 holes on the back. Fairways and greens were in good condition every time Ive played.

Wonderful public course. Seems so short, regardless of tees, but when the greens get a touch fast... Difficult to chip and putt. But cant beat the price and ocean views and temperature year round. Just a great place to play.

Great Muni course with views of the ocean. It can get a little crowded, and it is not always in the best of conditions. The low price attracts a lot of beginners, but if you have patience and time this is a fun course and the staff are always helpful and friendly.

I enjoy the group of guys I play with on Sundays. The views are great on the back nine. The tee boxes are pretty beat up. Need to be rotated more it seems to me. I must look like I am made of money, because I was asked at the front desk if I would like to pay for other peoples rounds. Overall, the golf is enjoyable.

The best kept secret for us south OCs. Angelenos stay away.

Love this place. nice course, well maintained, no fancy gimmicks, value for the money.

Great venue for a wedding. Clean bathrooms. Bar. Small dance floor. Outdoor, covered patio. It rained during our event, but there was plenty of things to do inside.

Everything is nice but the greens. Speed and quality is all over the map, green speeds change big from hole to hole making it almost stupid

Course is fairly easy. Hard to lose a ball here except on a couple of the back-nine holes.Note that about 16 greens roll towards the ocean so dont get fooled!Often slow on weekends.Great staff. Really nice people.

Beautiful views, but the grass is that nasty Bermuda- like stuff that grabs your club . green are very difficult/tricky. Overall good experience

Great views and the greens are very nice

If you have a little duffer you need to know about $5 walk up golf lessons on Thursday afternoons and Saturday mornings. The pro Rocky is a legend with the kids and your kids will be chipping up a storm in no time under his tutelage.

I had a great time Ive only been there once but I thought the greens were great naked it had more sand in the sand traps but all in all it was a great experience I would definitely come back

Went to a wedding, reception hall is nice but I didnt like the way the tables were set. The bride party had to use side hallway to enter.
