My son has played with the Peninsula Cardinals Baseball Academy for four years, and in that time he has improved steadily in all aspects of the game. The coaches are professional and very knowledgeable. They have great specialized coaching, and they know how to tailor training for individual players. Players are held to a high standard of discipline and performance, but they are a real team who enjoy each other’s company and have fun playing. I can’t recommend the Cardinals enough.

The knowledge and experience received from Henry and the coaching staff is unmatched! First class organization that teaches the fundamentals of baseball and how to be a team player on and off the field. Players learn good ethics, respect, dedication and commitment that are important attributes to have as a player but most importantly as a person.

Our son has been playing travel ball for five years, and the Peninsula Cardinals and Coach Henry have been his best experience yet. Coach Henry is positive, encouraging, recognizes hard work, and is an excellent teacher the game. His practices are as fun as they are excellent and demanding. We could not recommend him and the program more highly.

I have always believed that you have to learn baseball from a true professional with playing experience at the highest level. Coach Henry Wrigley is just that. Technical, easy to work with and one of the most accomplished players to ever come out of the Bay Area, it is an absolute no brainer to let him coach your child.

My son played for Henry Wrigley and the Peninsula Cardinals organization for approx 3 years. While preparing for the Serra Freshman Baseball Team, Henry and his coaching staff took a personal interest in making sure he was mentally and physically prepared for his tryouts. Henry and the Cardinals staff made themselves available on evenings and weekends, in addition to the normal cage/field practice schedule, to work one-on-one with him. I have no doubt that their coaching/mentoring played a crucial role in my son’s successful tryouts, which ultimately led to being selected to the Serra Freshman team. I thank Henry and his staff for their efforts and dedication to the players in their organization.

If I wanted to learn how to bake I would go to a baker. If I wanted to learn how to build a house I would go to a carpenter; and if I wanted to learn how to play baseball I would go to Henry Wrigley and the Peninsula Cardinals.Henry has the make-up, experience, talent and drive of a first-rate coach. I have learned a number of valuable tools in my graduate kinesiology program such as coaching philosophy, motivation, camaraderie and mastery of fundamental concepts; all are a natural part of Henrys coaching repertoire.Henry Wrigley and the Peninsula Cardinals has shown to be a great environment to learn baseball and life skills. Learning how to get better while enjoying the people around you can be the foundation of a successful life. Henry has a lifetime of baseball experience, while being successful at every level from Little League to the pros. Henry displays the joys of a child and the discipline of a professional, a perfect balance a coach should have.I recommend Peninsula Cardinals baseball to any child looking to learn how to play this great sport and pastime.

The Cardinals coaches - with 20+ years of actual, professional experience - are amazingly committed to making sure my son learns the RIGHT way to play baseball. Developing the best work ethic, being good teammates, holding each other accountable, and grinding to be the best ballplayer he can be (and NOT be the chasing plastic trophies type). That level of teaching experience is so hard to come by these days from ANY travel team (especially the well intentioned, but daddy-driven teams) -- and the Cardinals organization is super dedicated to developing the boys character as much as their baseball skills and IQ.My son LOVES working with Head Coach Henry - who incidentally hit 118 homeruns in his pro career, so you know that he knows what hes talking about more than most average people. Having a pitching and catcher coaches in J.J. and Scott complement a stellar coaching staff, along with infield coach Brennan makes the Cardinals program beyond compare!

Weve had a great experience with the Cardinals and coach Henry. The team builds baseball skills in a positive environment and the high number of coaches per player helps make sure that each player gets lots of individual feedback.
