This was once a beautiful hotel in its hey-day. It was known for its elegance and stunning mosaic tiled swimming pool fed by natural spring water in the 1950s and visited by prominent celebrities during that era. This property is not the same as it once was in its glory days.
A family friend used to be the grounds keeper there before it got purchased by someone else. The owner at the time would let him invite family and friends so we can celebrate Easter there, thats been almost 20 years now since I was last there. Never went inside the hotel cause it was always closed but we looked inside through the windows a couple of times but everything was always covered in cloth. The heated pool was fantastic and the hikes we took up to where the founder and his family are buried just underneath the arrowhead on the mountain was nice. Wish I had photos to post.
Good hotel
Really cool place to visit if youre invited to an event. Unfortunately, its closed to the public. Very historic and a great way to re-live San Bernardinos interesting past. Hope it opens sometime soon to the public.
My dad used to do landscaping for the grounds place aint open anymore but really nice view and the swimming pool Is stellar
I grew up at ASH with my family. Was away for 40 years and came back. Met with an unfriendly sign, gate and threat of being arrested for trespass. Called the ph number and no response or call back. Didnt know it was sold in 2016. Very unfriendly and hostile place now.
