(9/6/20) First time going to this fish store and it will be my last. Unfortunately, was not a good experience.I noticed the fancy goldfish right away - I have been keeping fancies for over 7 years. It was my birthday and a few fish caught my eye (there were a few goldfish in other tanks covered in ich RED FLAG #1, but the ones I selected were not in the same tanks or showing visual signs of ich - *as we all know ich enters a cycle that is not visible by the naked eye* and I would be quarantining and treating them for at least a month before placing them in my pond. The prices were not posted because according to one of the employees they had just received the shipment and just placed those fish in the tank (RED FLAG #2 - no quarantining or treating prior to selling the fish). He said he would ask for the pricing, but for some reason had an attitude. They were $40 each and I figured it was a fair price to pay, but little did I notice they were covered in FISH LICE. I spent over $140 on 3 goldfish, 2 guppies, and some fish food. 2 goldfish DIED THE SAME DAY OF PURCHASE and with that the FISH LICE that the fish were covered in fell off. I was devastated, but I figured the owner/manager would refund me given the fish were CLEARLY SICK.I had work the next day (9/7/20), so my mother and brother were kind enough to take them back to the pet store (fish lice and all) so the owner/manager could see them. I asked my mom to give me a call so I could speak with the owner/manager - and he was very rude and disrespectful to me. HE IMMEDIATELY TRIED TO BLAME ME stating I had probably not used water conditioner and that all his fish were fine. I explained Ive been keeping goldfish for years and am well aware of how to keep fish. I then brought up the fish I purchased were clearly covered in fish lice and some of the fish in his tanks had ich - which the only thing he replied was WE DO NOT GUARANTEE THE HEALTH OF ANY FISH. He said, the best he could do for me is offer a 50% discount. No thank you - I do not like to buy fish that are on the brink of death or that I have to nurse back to health. And I also do not give business to those who lack customer service or who blame others for their mistakes.I would recommend buying fish from more reputable sellers who at least quarantine or treat fish prior to selling them and listen to their customers instead of trying to blame them when the facts/evidence is presented to them. These people take no responsibility for their lack of quality and health of their fish. * I ADDED PICTURES TO MY POST THAT CLEARLY SHOW THE FISH LICE THAT FELL OFF THE FISH ONCE THEY PASSED THAT SAME DAY.They were all temperature acclimated and placed in clean conditioned water, with an airstone, and inside a quarantine tank. They were taken to the fish store in a lunchbox so the owner could see the fish and fish lice - as noted in the pictures.

Tons of bad reviews but still wanted to give it a try...BAD IDEAThe store looks impressive but the fish are sick, overpriced and NON refundable... Of course they are though... they don’t want those dying fish back!Customer service is some of the worst I’ve ever experienced. The three fish I purchased all VERY over priced but I figured why not I loved em. ALL HAD ICH! The employees response was to just blame myself and make me feel like I did something wrong.. mind you hadn’t even been 24 hours since I had the fish..Save your money and the hassle of dealing with these clowns..ITS NOT WORTH IT!

Wide selection of saltwater and freshwater fish as well as coral. Great place to go if you want something specific because of the wide range of options.Definitely has a fish-mill vibe with emphasis on the dollars more than the animals. For example, staff is quite friendly if you make big purchases, but generally indifferent (though not rude) if you dont spend as much.The store isnt dirty but it doesnt have the neat, clean, trim look becoming popular in the hobby. Im sure they could spend the money to upgrade their store to look a lot nicer (the owners drive crazy expensive cars and the rumor is they pull millions yearly) but that isnt their priority.I definitely like going to this shop and am thankful it exists, but there is also plenty of room for improvement.

As someone who has been going to this store since I was a kid it’s a shame to see this place going the directions it’s going. Staff are helpful but will at times gives off the impression they’re selling fish for the sake of selling. The bettas are in horrible conditions. Fish I have got there are sick and was recently sold shrimp that has the dreaded green fungus and thankfully I noticed it before putting it in my tank as that would have completely ruined my tank. I’m always wanting to support this business because I basically grew up going here and love the hobby. However if they’re going to keep selling sick fish and shrimp and an inflated price I may just start supporting online vendors for better quality. Really hope they get back to where they used to be.

Huge selection, employees are super helpful, (especially jules) they have everything you could need. They are very knowledgeable about aquariums and products. Thanks guys, well be back!

This is a great store to get supplies but many of the fresh water fish were injured or ill. The albino oscars were fully missing eyes, the goldfish had visible parasites, and the betta fish had torn fins possibly due to being kept with larger fish. I would be weary of introducing any of these fish into my tanks. I will say the salt water fish were in excellent condition from what I saw on my visit.

LISTEN TO THE REVIEWS!I wanted to give this store the benefit of the doubt but literally every bad review on here is a word for word description of my experience.I was sold SICK fish (ICH)TERRIBLE customer service. (They can never just admit they’re wrong)The prices on some of the “exotic” fish are marke WAY up.Oh and didn’t I mention TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!SAVE YOUR MONEY!!!

Do not buy fish from here. A week and a half ago I went and spent almost $100 worth of fish. Within a few days my fish started dying. I noticed the ones dying had white spots everywhere. Sold fish with ick, I called them and they said sorry, I can test your water! Seriously? Horrible customer service!

Always great and they are so helpful. Somehow every time I go in there to “look” I walk out spending money so they must be doing something right.

I am at this store all the time and they always show the upmost respect for all their customers. I do have to say that sometimes it takes a while to get any service, but thats because they are filled with so many customers. They are knowledgeable about all their products and have amazing prices. They are honest with you, if a fish is sick they will tell you.

I walked into PetWorld: Tropical Fish Not knowing it was there, mind you it was my first visit. I looked around at some of the very diverse and unique aquatic equipment and products they offered, at very affordable prices. I spoke with Jules, who was a very helpful, friendly and knowledgeable person. He helped me understand what exactly I was looking for with my fish tank, style and what kind of fish I wanted. Jules also helped me understand exactly what Aquatic Equipment I needed for whatever specific tank I am going to build. I am definitely going to make PetWorld: Tropical Fish my Aquatics Store.

The only place you should be going if you are into keeping aquarium(s). Theyre the best. Theyve helped me learn and got me into researching more into the hobby. And they have the best fish stocked. Im like a kid in a candy store there. I highly recommend them.

Great place! I had been looking for an exclusive fish store. They have so many fish, plants, decor, tanks, pet food, tank cleaners, you name it. Associates were friendly and helpful. Prices were more than fair. Will be returning.

Don’t buy fish from here. They don’t clear their fish from diseases, and they get their fish from overseas where they juice the fish and make them colorful, punch them with hormones to even look like males and then two weeks later they loose their color and die. They don’t provide any reimbursement if a fish dies once they get to your home or any kind of insurance because their a “mom and pop”. Ive been shopping here for a couple months, and many fish die and come with diseases. Ive gotten a new fish from there and then my tank gets ick in a few days. Im tired of spending so much money here just for the fish to die. The crabs and lobsters might be okay, and the food prices are cheap thats fine. But they always have dead fish in the tanks rotting. I just don’t want anyone to keep loosing their money because they wont always tell you if you should or should not get them. Their in it for the sale.

Hands down the best fish store in the Inland Empire. Well thought out clean tanks, and dont even get me started on the prices! Better prices then Amazon and I get to support not only a small local business but also an obvious enthusiast. Will be back constantly.

Just when I think these guess couldnt surprise me with new items or fish the do it lol. Never disappointed when I come in here. Even with the whole covid thing going on they still able to come through. And just on the off chance they dont have what your looking for they are willing to take your number down and hit you up once they are stocked up. Will always be come back

Love this place I been coming here since I was a kid and they still have the same friendly brothers that own this place. The selection of salt and fresh water fish are amazing and exotic here. They are so knowledgable here you can even bring your tank water and they will test it for you at no additional charge. Need fish food or a new tank? They have it all! Best place in the IE!

They have a good selection on fish and other stuff but beware everything is very pricey here. Also quarantine everything you buy here. Also pay attention to what you buy alot of time the fish have something here but not always. Employees are not very nice. They are very rude especially the so call maintenance guy. The owners are very nice though as well as the daughter.

The store is small but the saying is Big things come in small packages. The fish (both fresh a d salt water) are amazing. You could literally spend hours moving from tank to tank.

I bought some algae eating fish to go along with my Betta, all of their fish carry diseases or something, as soon as I put the fish in the tank my Betta got ick and started getting fin rot. Real problem. They also dont take care of their bettas like they should as they just die in these little containers with snails

Thanks to the folks here at Pet World I have been able to successfully set up my first planted aquarium and its thriving! They have been really helpful in helping me test water, suggest products to fix any issue, and they dont sell you stuff you dont need. No pressure salses tatics here. All around fantastic people and a fantastic store.

I goggle aquarium stores near me and found this wonderful and beautiful store, I would definitely recommend you go and see for yourself the quality and quantity is amazing and the very friendly.. they truly have everything youd need..from salt and fresh water, plants to rocks, coral.. tanks to filters .. I was blow away and now know where Ill be spending my pay checks

Knowledgeable staff and a lot of selection. Be careful with their live rock though. Bought about 20-30 lbs and put it to cure in a quarantine tank and it was covered with aptaisa soon as I put a little light to the tank.

Fair balance between marine and fresh water selections. Often find obscure fish and aquatic life. Private non chain variety. Not a place for a novice more for those with aquarium history. Otherwise you might not see the big picture. Excellent spot for folks with knowledge and experience.

This place is amazing if you are looking to buy fish and fish related items. They have almost everything and good prices and helpful staff. Would highly recommend. Definitely will buying all my future fish from them.

Great selection of fresh and saltwater fish, plants, invertebrates, tanks, accessories, food and supplies. All their livestock is usually healthy and kept in good conditions. Staff are friendly knowledgeable and ethical - will usually steer newbies in the direction of keeping their animals healthy as opposed to making a quick sale to the detriment of the animal. All said, this is my favorite LFS in the San Bernardino area. Picture is of a tiger Oscar bought from the store around 4 years ago - they get some good looking stock.

Great selection of wood, probably the best that youll find out of any fish store in the IE. Great selection of fresh/salt water fish. Decent prices, obviously wont beat petsmart for typical stuff but pretty close and prices justify the experience you get from here. A lot of unique selection thats tough to come by nowadays. Good people all around as well

Ive been shopping here for years. Its always clean. The tanks are always clean and all of their sea pets are very well taken care of. All of the staff are extremely nice and helpful!! I love all of their different types of eels that they have there. This is the only pet store that I shop at and I go out of my way just to shop here. The staff go out of there way just to make sure that you are satisfied. I highly recommend this pet store!!

I bought a betta fish there last week and yesterday morning it was swimming and that night it just stopped breathing and I tried to take it back but they said they only have a 24 hour policy and one of the ladies tried to blame it on me and said they arent responsible for anything after 24 hours and that is not a goo policy. I will NEVER go back again. I am very unhappy with there Service

As some reviews noted, you will have different experiences depending on who helps you. I did end up waiting around for someone to help me at check out for a bit too long. They really dont welcome you or say hi, but they have plenty to look at and many selections of fish. Definitely inspect the fish thoroughly before purchasing because they might be sick or dying like any other place with a lot of tanks. They are a bit pricey.

For a local fish store, they have pretty much anything i would buy online at the same price, but without paying the shipping and without waiting for delivery. What sets them apart from the other stores Ive been to is that they have a wider variety of fish, both saltwater and fresh, and a large selection of other products such as equipment, foods, test kits, etc.

What great place. I went there yesterday as my wife casually mentioned her father used to shop there way back in the day. Turns out they were still in business so we made the drive from Riverside. I was thoroughly impressed from the second I walked in the door. Great selection of pretty much everything you could name off the top of your head. Theres so many fish and plants and they all looked healthy as could be. Besides all that they did have, the biggest thing I noticed is what I didnt notice: dead fish. They were all alive and well kept. I guess they bettas could use a water change but they cared enough to slap a lil foliage in the cups with them, do they care at least. I also like the fact the carry tissue culture plants. I really wish I lived closer but I definitely think its worth the occasional drive over.

Great fish selection! That gets 5, Reason I left only 3 ... Because I bought some stress coat water conditioner. Come to find out when I got home 50+ miles away. Bottle has an expiration of year 2016 printed on bottle? I called asked them I have a bottle of Stress coat .. Is it safe still to use in my tank? I was told they thet storeswouldnt use it in their tanks personally so they recommend not to use it in mine.. ??? Then I revealed I just bought it from your store today .. they replied will exchange it bring it back!! If I was around the corner sure! But why are you selling items that far out of date? 3 years old.. It would of been nice if they offered to ship a replacement bottle... But that didnt happen . So Im out $8.00 and you get in return myself personally I would of came back to buy fish again .. and you get a 3 star rating.. Cuz you dont care about leaving expired goods on your shelf to pollute or kill my fish . That sucks when I have other stores I can find selling quality goods also on my trip down your way every 2 months..

Always helpful with questions on certain fish and foods. Always kind and never rush you. We drive all the way from yucaipa to get our fish from pet world. Most healthy fish weve gotten were from this store and they actually last not like certain other stores. Another plus is their tanks are always clean and never find dead fish in the tanks!
