Very nice place!!! We went there to hang out with friends, have some beers and some food! We are a Country Band from Mexico so we like country as well. The place is great and we had a really good time! People was very nice!

This is an awesome honkytonk to hang out in. They’ve got a decent sized dancefloor, a TouchTunes jukebox, and live music on weekend evenings. The bands are usually local cover bands, but they cover the Texas regional Red Dirt style music, so I really dig that.They have a full bar with $2.50 wells and domestic beers until 8pm. The only downside is, they don’t have any beer on tap. Bottles and cans only. The beer selection isn’t huge, but they do carry a few Texas brewed regional beers.Plenty of seating on the inside, and PLENTY of more seating on the outside deck and patio.Sometimes they have food trucks outside, but other times, they only have someone inside the front door selling tacos, and quesadillas, etc.The soap dispenser in the bathroom doesn’t work, so you have to scoop your hand into it to get soap - um, no thanks.But that’s really the only issue I had - I’m adding this place to me “keepers” list. It was fun hanging out here!

The place is huge, the biggest on this side of town, music and system is great and super loud in a good way. Bar has pretty good selection and bartenders are great. Go on the weekend. U probably will like it alot. Plus its right next to Rudys BBQ, and fast food places

Good place to mingo. Take a friend going solo well unless you have game otherwise yeah. Country place good music. Live band the night I went. Great service at the bar. They have pool tables and good trucks.

First night open since the lockdown began. Everyone was sp happy to be back at work and patrons visiting. Service was great. The evening was very pleasant on the patio.

Service was great! Music was excellent and not too overwhelming, you could still carry on conversation. Outside deck is also impressive.

I like going here the only problem is when its a small area. People reserve tables for Birthday parties so then no one else is able to sit down and everyone is standing in the dancefloor area,etc. It just makes it very crowded. This place needs to expand more or stop reserving tables so others can sit down who just walk in.

Great place to dance, good music and great atmosphere. The parking sucks but if you go early enough there is a great bbq place right next door.

Music was good. Place was nice. But way too crowded. No place to sit or set your drink down so we couldn’t dance. We were crammed next to the bar with nowhere to go and a rude bartender asked us to “get off her bar”. Stayed about 30 mins. Won’t be back.

Great Texas feel! Hardwood dance floor and live music. Mix in a dj playing good jams, good drink prices and a BBQ place next door, you have the makings of a wonderful night! Plenty of parking and no cover charge.

Bar was packed when we went. We enjoy dancing, but were pretty surprised when out of 200 people at the bar, no one was dancing. Pretty lame. Everyone was just drinking and staring at each other. Reminded me of a middle school dance.

Went on a Friday, they had a live band that was pretty good. The floor wasnt packet so it was nice not having people bumping into us while dancing. The outside area was nice.

Nice had a really wonderful bartender my group enjoyed it. The dj seemed a little bit lost for a few in his own world. Playing music for himself but went back to the crowd after 15 or 20 min of crickets in a full house. For a city girl in a country bar we had a great time.

Can not beat the drink specials during happy hour good atmosphere of younger and older...good variety of music.

So I had 3 beers and then was asked to leave and close my tab. I have to idea why but was forced out of the door and then asked if they wanted them to call me a cab. Why was I asked to leave when The party behind me was the one breaking glasses? Seriously my tab was less than 40 dollars for a party of 6. I barely got there.

Been to this place a couple of times. Its a good drinking establishment. Cheap drinks, nice outdoor area. Local places will deliver food since they dont have a kitchen.They do fun special events and ita a good place to see a football game.Recommended for large groups and general hanging out.

Good place to enjoy some country music. Decent size dance floors, good drink specials, and food trucks in the back on the weekends.

Seems to be no shortage in here if youre thirsty they got a bar at every corner! No cover charge. You can order food and there is food trucks that pull up next to the outdoor area that is all within the establishment. The lighting was good and atmosphere seems to be well rounded.

Its always a good time going here, Either its to just hang out outside they have plenty of sitting around Especially if you going to catch up with friends or family outside is better. If you want to 2 step & have a good time with music or a live band inside is really good. They also have two pool tables near the stage area. You can also reserve for a party. They also have dance lesson classes on certain days. Always a good environment.

Nice accomodations with big outdoor patio area. Only 1long T-shaped bar though. And 2 pool tables. Mostly for dancing & socialing. We got bored after 2 drinks & left.

That night the reyna band played the best dancing music . I started dancing after going through the front door n enjoyed it all night. A tejano song or two wouldnt hurt best experience in a long time keep it up. Wel be back for the cold beer too.

It was OK. Was not real welcoming to new comers apparently. Its like you have to known already to get served. Bar tender could use some help.

Normally 151 Saloon is a country bar, but every Wednesday night it transforms into an awesome Latin night!! I went almost every Wednesday from August 2017 until March 2018, where they play Salsa, Bachata, and Merengue all night.There is no cover charge and you get a free dance lesson at 10pm. The DJ is great, the instructors are great, the dance floor is spacious enough to move around. If youre lucky, the photographer might take photos of you, too. ;) (whos a very skilled photographer by the way!).You dont need a partner to have a good time, either!Ive been here once during their normal country nights. They had a live band that was ok, since they played mostly (what sounded like) swing rhythm country. Would recommend coming with a partner for country night. :)

Best dance hall in San Antonio

I’m new to the San Antonio area and wanted to check out some of the local country bars. My girlfriend and I stopped in here as they were having a live band playing that night. It’s a cool atmosphere but you could barely hear the vocals of the singer from the instrumentals downing him out which sucked cause he seemed like he’d be pretty good. Drinks were good but a bit on the pricey side compared to other bars I’ve visited. Hung out for a little while then went on to the next country bar.

They make good drinks. Went on a Saturday with husband and some family. Played nice music to dance to I thought. We went to sit outside after a while and it felt like the security guard outside was just watching us. Made me feel uneasy after a while so we left.

Went for a private party but what a really cool bar...

Came here at the suggestion of my boss who was treating us all to drinks. Atmosphere was edgy with a country twist. Bartenders were attentive and nice. There are 2 pool tables from what I saw which was very popular with myself and coworkers. Definitely will be going again!

Cool place, good drinks, nice atmosphere. I dont know how to dance I usually just do my thing. Then this guy (dance instructor) gave everyone the 411 on how to bust some moves and I was like cool. However, he made us dance with different people so I made a big-ass fool out of myself over and over again. Got to dance with some nice females tho. Had fun.

My date and I had a great time!! The band was awesome. I wish they would of had some large fans in there. Everyone was sweating pretty bad, no circulation.

Have had fun here everytime, nice mix of country and dance. Outside area is nice too. Staff are pretty friendly and they have a decent selection of drinks. Really enjoy my time here, its a more late 20s on up age kinda club.

Had a decent time. Drinks were a bit pricey, music was good. Very crowded. Dance floor seemed a bit small for.the volume of people there.

No matter what day of the week it is I always have a good time. Poker night, corn hole night, live band, DJ, etc... never had a bad night. Crowd is chill and laid back.

I usually go to this place on Wednesday because they have Latin night with free salsa classes.Class starts at 10 pm and the instructor is great. Is easy to follow and makes really cool dancing dynamics. Recommended if you want to learn how to dance. It worked for me.

Went to hang out with old friends that drink. They do have food, which was tempting, but I did not try any. Both the parking lot and the bar were crowded, which I believe is not uncommon for bars.

This place is what youd picture a modern day Saloon to look like, but keep its old original look and feel. Live bands and square dancing. And happy hour is great.

Nice big wide open spaces. It was a little crowded but overall really good place to get some drinks. Outdoor patio is really big and there is even a playground attached... We didnt bring kids, but it was there nonetheless. Good music and great bartending service! We will definitely be back

I LOVE THIS BAR...Its My Kind of Place!!!Beer is ice cold, Great live bands, Staff is friendly, Security is tight. What more can you ask?This is an awesome place for people like me who dont do the bar scene often & sometimes just need a little escape from my every day life. Feels good to be able to misbehave a little without all the drama that you would normally experience at other bars. The valet parking is also another awesome perk!

If you are handy cap they may mistakenly think you are intoxicated and throw you out! I wish I could give no stars.At 11pm last night I was humiliated and thrown out because the bouncer said I was walking funny): I do walk funny. I had a double hip replacement): i was on the dance floor attempting the boot scooting boogie and he took me off the floor. He said I had to leave and said I was unstable.)...;I am a woman with a physical impairment and was called out and thrown out of the bar last night by the bouncer. He said I was walking funny and it was time for me to close out my tab. I didn’t have a tab. I never bought a drink. I had a beer my cousin bought me. I actually don’t like beer. I was there with my family. I live so close to 151 and now I have a knot in my stomach just thinking that I have to pass by this horrible place every single day.What a nightmare!

I advise anybody to go check out this hot spot. Its a older crowd but well worth it. Dance floor is huge and they remodel the inside and they have a out door patios to chill, hang out, eat, talk and so much more. Bartenders are hot. I went on Hollween and had a blast. Thanks!
