Wow what an amazing experience we had there. I took my significant other out for a night out because we were tired of being stuck inside because of Covid. It was a very pleasant time. The staff were really friendly and inviting, the food was really good, I would recommend the nachos! We had the whole row to ourselves because of covid. We showed up early and just walked around the gateway and had a great evening. The show was hilarious and worth the price of admission! look forward to heading back for another show

Great place.. Good layout for viewing the stage. Theyre covid rules made zero sense. Only two people per Row in the front and in the back everybodys crammed together 1 inch apart. Anyway fun place

We had a great time at this venue. Food and beverages were not over priced and the service was great. While we waited for the show, they played the utes game. It was well accommodating and entertaining. The comedians were professionally funny. Good place for a show and fun entertainment!

Great venue, food is decent, place is comfortable...great place for a night out for some good comedy. However, the last few times I have been there there have been people in the crowd that shout out, talk, etc. It distract the comics and is annoying to the crowd. I would think the house security or staff could do a better job to try and control rowdy or obnoxious patrons.

Had a great time, they have really done a lot to make people feel safe during the pandemic. The staff all wore masks & youre only sitting with your group of up to 4 people. The tables are all spaced so youre not sitting directly in front of or behind people. The wait staff was quick & super nice.

We watched the show with Greg Hahn and he was hilarious! The place itself is comfortable and the people working there were very nice. We ordered chips and salsa and fries and their servings were pretty substantial;we couldnt eat it all. If you want a good time and have a good laugh, this is the place to be.

Best show and best venue I’ve been to for a comedy show. Tonight Brad Williams became the greatest comedian I’ve ever seen. The food was amazing and the staff could not have better. Very attentive to all my needs tonight do to the fact that I am in a wheelchair. Because of that fact I even ended up in the act which was incredible. If Williams or any other comedian I know and love comes to/back to Wiseguys I’m coming back.

I havent even gone in yet, but the fact that Noelle would so easily change my tickets is absolutely amazing. You never see venues do stuff like that. This made my freaking day.

They are doing a good job with COVID. Tables are spaced out at 60% capacity. The food is pretty good too.

Wiseguys is one of the best clubs in the nation. Great staff, Great Comics from all over, Great Venue. Also has 2 other locations, one in Jordans Landing in the western side of the Salt Lake City area and one in Ogden Utah, 30 minutes north of Salt Lake City. Definitely worth going out to see and have a laugh,

Food was excellent, it was $4.50 for a pbr beer. Comic was pretty good as well. Building was clean.

Saw Greg Hahn. Great show, got the chicken nachos. Highly recommend! They were amazing. Staff was nice and made sure our drinks were full.

Ive never been to a comedy show before and Nikki Glaser was great! She connected and engaged with the audience well. My first experience was good and I look forward to more shows in the future.

Remodeled & super cute inside. It looks bigger & more of a hangout type of place before the show. We had terrible table service though. My only complaint. People all around us that came in after us were served first. The show started & we still didnt have drinks or orders placed. We talked to someone about it & they just said your waitress is slow. You can go into the lobby & get your own drinks annoyed but thats what we did. I like the other locations better than the downtown location personally.

Great show and usually great customer service, but today I wish I would have never came. When we were being seated I asked if we could sit in a different area (I have really bad anxiety and wanted to be sat away from everyone else) because the table we were seated at was one of two tables that only seat two individuals, and we were torwards the center of the comedy club (which I hate because I feel like all eyes are on me and I start sweating profusely). Instead of working with us she told us that there were limited seating, and that table they have reserved for group of three, which I understood so I dealt with feeling uncomfortable. After a few minutes we noticed a couple were seated at the table I requested before we sat down, the one they mentioned was reserved for three people. I felt horrible and was a little upset as being sat there I would have felt 100% more comfortable, and being told it was only for a group of three and to see a couple being sat there, I felt was a little ridiculous. I wanted to speak to the manager and let her know how I felt to provide maybe a coaching opportunity for the server, maybe to understand that certain request are made for certain reasons. The gentleman that I spoke to understood how I felt and told me he can get a manager (Penny) to speak with me, but this never happened. All I wanted is to explain how I felt to the manager, but I never got a chance to do that.Please understand that sometimes when we request to be seated somewhere else, its not because we want a better view, but it is because I want to get past my anxiety issue and be able to enjoy a show without feeling like I am about to have a panic attack.

Had lots of fun. was there a little early so I got a front row seat. worth it. will go again

The venue was remarkable. The wait staff did an excellent job as they were prompt, attentive and on top of things. The food was tasty and the club was very clean. Pete Lee the comedian was phenomenal. I have never laughed so much at any other comedy club I have been to. If you have a chance to catch him perform. I highly recommend it!

This place was so much fun! It was our first night out after the covid restrictions had been somewhat lifted. Im so glad we went! Brad Williams was even more hilarious than I could have hoped!! We will be back for sure.

They have something going on pretty much every single night here. They host open mics on Tuesdays and Wednesdays which are really well attended by some very funny local comedians. If youre visiting from out of town its also really easy to sign up to be in their open mics if youre in to that sort of thing. The audience tends to be very kind and ready to laugh. They have a great bar, great food, and always a really awesome staff. This is honestly a really cool place to go any night of the week for a good time

We bought two tickets to see Brendan Schaub for July 17th. The show was canceled by Brendan because he went to Texas and got Covid! The shows were rescheduled for August but were not able to make the trip in from Colorado at that time.Wiseguys gave us a full refund including tax and service fees! Very impressed by their forthright behavior.

10 out of 10. This place is a blast and I love the way the venue is organized. If you get there early you can pick your seats, grab food and drinks before the show, and of course keep ordering food through out ;) If I could stop in here once a month I would. Keep doing your thing Wiseguys! Id be coming to see Tom Segura but hes sold out...Bummer.

I dont have enough superlatives to describe Wiseguys Comedy ClubWe had a great time, the comedians were funny, the wait staff were, superb and exceptionally kind. The food and drinks were excellent and not priced any higher than most other Salt Lake bars. Well worth a night out!

Had a great time at Wiseguys with my husband and some friends last night! It was our first time and we will be back. I had to dock a star for my very sad BLT experience. A tiny half of a tomato on each half of my BLT was really disappointing. I NEED MORE T!!!!!! Also had someone else’s drink in a glass thrown into my lap during the show (shattering the glass as it hit my chair), because the people sitting in front of us kept rocking in their seats laughing and it eventually knocked our table so hard that it threw everything on the table at us. No fault of the staff there, and I guess the comedian was just THAT funny, but beware—chairs and tables are not bolted into the ground!

Wiseguys is the the spot to see the absolute best in stand up SLC has to offer! We just got out of Nikki Glasers set...OMG she crushed it so hard I was tearing the whole time. Best comedy Ive seen since Dan Cummins last winter! Thank you Wiseguys for bringing the heat!

Awesome venue!! We saw Rachael Feinstein here last night (freaking hilarious!!). We also got a few drinks and food. The food was pretty decent, not great but good for bar food. Prices were extremely reasonable. The drinks were cold and the waitstaff was awesome. Cant wait to make this a regular date night location

Had a really fun time, but hard to see the comedian through the persons head that was in front of me. Feel like your really packed in there. The staff was excellent and the food was good.

Was a great time out. Been many moons since I laughed that much. Oh and the double bacon cheeseburger was pretty good. Service was great my drink didnt stay empty at all.

Wow what a great place for an awesome evening! Britney greeted us and showed us back to the seating area, it was super clean and very comfortable chairs. The comics were top notch! Definitely coming back again.

We saw Cameron Esposito here on 1/26. It was a great show! Looking at just Wiseguys, the service was great, drinks were relatively cheap (two beers and a diet Coke (which was actually two diet Cokes, like she brought me two cups, not sure if thats regular practice for them but I loved it) for like $13 before tip), and the warm up guy, Ryan Erwin I think his name was, who I guess is a regular fixture at Wiseguys, was actively hilarious and adjusted deftly to audience reactions. I would definitely go back for other queer comics! (Dear Wiseguys, please bring in many queer comics!)

Our group had a blast last night. Pricing is very reasonable and food was on point. Our waiter took care of us all night and even though he was very busy he checked on us every chance he got. I was very impressed with the interior and hospitality by the staff. We will be back next Tuesday!!

The food here is so good! The drinks are good as well. Basic Coke products if you dont drink, great alcohol menu if you do. Fast, attentive wait staff. I have yet to attend a show I didnt enjoy! I love that they have an area on the way out where you can stop and take a photo with the performers, only wish is for better lighting out there. Seating is chairs at long row tables, so if you are the type of person who has to get up frequently be sure to grab a seat on the end to avoid climbing over people. Bathrooms are really nice, building has a great vibe, and website is clean and easy to navigate.

It was great. I showed up for open Mic night as a performer. Everyone was cool, nice venue, great audience, super friendly and attentive staff and servers. Highly recommend.

Went there for the first time tonight. Great experience all around. The seating and atmosphere is awesome and really intimate. Not a bad seat in the house. The service was amazing and so was the food. Great time and cannot recommend this place highly enough!

Nice atmosphere, the comedian I saw was OK. What I didnt like was how the chairs are literally touching seat to seat. I am a small girl, and I felt crammed in that room like a can of sardines. I cant imagine how everyone else feels. Regardless, I do have high hopes for this place, so I do recommend and I will be coming back.

Great venue to see Kurtis Conner at and their drinks are incredibly tasty! Food wasnt so bad either! Definitely a great girls night out!

We went and saw Adam Carolla here last night. He was incredible. Been here for other shows too including Nikki Glaser. Its fun, funny great food and alcohol for those that partake. I highly recommend going here. You will not be disappointed.

My server was Jimi and he was amazing. He stayed on top of our drinks and made sure we were happy with our meals. Definitely a great server. The comedy was great had me laughing the whole time. Loved it.

This place is so much fun! Came her with my girlfriend for their comedy festival and we got to see TJ Miller, Margaret Cho + we became fans of some comics we werent familiar with that night! Will definitely come back next time we are in town.

Ive always loved Wiseguys and their Gateway downtown location is a beautiful venue. Now they have the lounge open as well and theyve done an amazing job on that. Wiseguys is always a fun night whether you spend big money to see a national headline comedian or whether you spend $20 to see a more local act. Ive always had a great time and Wiseguys contributes to be my favorite date night location. They do have a decent menu and we usually eat there but with this venue being in the Gateway there are a lot of other food options all within walking distance.

Pretty disappointed. Food was terrible and my order was wrong so I ended up eating bread and lettuce, coke was flat and they still tried to charge me for it. I would maybe go for a different show but I’ll stop to eat somewhere else first.

Great atmosphere. Excellent entertainment. My wife and I went with a group of friends and had a blast.

This is my favorite hang-out spot! They have super affordable shows ranging from $5-25. The service is also always great! Love their cocktails and food, too.

Awesome venue! Great service considering how busy it must be to get several hundred people arriving all at once. I loved the cozy feel of the tables around the stage and how close youre able to be to the acts.

This was my first time here*35 minutes with no service. We were told where to sit and it was an awesome spot to view the stage till we saw everyone around us get served except us. (I should say except everyone in our section... 6 people total)I walked over to the door and asked someone and they said Someone will be with you shortly. Then after 35 minutes again asked if I should go to the bar or keep waiting. They said Yay, you can go to the bar.Comedy acts were great. Server did end up showing after the show started.

My experience was great here. Went to a show here in late June and had an awesome time. The only reason I am docking one star is because it was super hot for a good portion of the show. I can usually handle heat okay but I was definitely sweating. This was my first show in a while here, so Ill have to go back and see if it was just a fluke.Edit:Gonna go ahead and bump this back up to 5. I think its cool that the owner replied and Ill trust it was a fluke.

I live 2 hours away and frequent this club with my husband for date nights. Every seat in the house is great, bathrooms are always clean. Cool place to laugh, eat and have a couple drinks. Love the black and blue burger! Great crowds and awesome comedians. Thanks wiseguys and staff!

The show was excellent! 5 stars! Its the perfect date.We dont come for the food so I didnt take away from the ratings. The burger my bf had wasnt good: The meat just seemed to be a pre-packaged fatty patty. The bun and everything else was good though. I had the buffalo chicken wrap and it was delicious. The menu seems to have redone and the nachos look better too. The service is slow so be careful with spicy food. You may want to order 2 waters because they take their time getting back to you.

I absolutely love going to Wiseguys. With their new lounge area and upgraded seating at the main stage it is comfortable and guaranteed to provide laughs and a fun atmosphere!

This is a great place to go when you want to laugh. Ive never walked away disappointed. Its a good idea to do a little research on the specific comedian you want to see before booking something, but theres usually a couple comedians that take the stage before the headliner. The food is okay, but I never go for the food anyway.

The comedy is great and the area including the waiting area was nice, will definitely go again. But the service was just horrible, ordered something never came and was just annoyed with the service that I didnt bother to ask for it again. We also had to flag down another waiter to get refills.

The shows are great! However, the absolutely packed seating wasnt my favorite. My BF was squished in next to an extremely large, drunk person, thigh-to-thigh. I know you gotta sell tickets and make money, but even one or two less seats on that entire row would have made everyone a bit more comfortable.

Food is surprisingly good, the venue is super fun and its self seating. Some spots can be hard to see if you arrive late but the vocal quality is good enough to not make it too bad. Super friendly staff and always a good time when Ive gone.
