I just started taking a class on hand build pottery with Ben.First of all, Ben is a fantastic teacher, and I like his no-pressure style of teaching.Second, hand building is waaaay easier than throwing and gives you waaaay more freedom for creativity! I attached the images of pieces I made after just one lesson (its uneven on purpose )

Tried pottery class for myself and my teenage son. It was a tough class and the coach seemed too busy to teach. there were people not part of the class asking for help and coach was distracted. It seems like there is an assumption that the students already know basics and only need to practice on thier own to improve. Won’t be going back .

I’m sure this place is wonderful for classes and such, my aunt actually took a class here and seemed to love it. I was hoping to take a pottery class and was asking the front desk about the classes and how much they cost and what they entailed. This woman immediately was frustrated with me when I asked her if she could repeat herself because the connection kept dropping (I couldn’t hear half of what she said.) Honestly, I have worked customer service, I get it. It’s annoying and tiring, but I don’t think it is okay to talk to customers or potential students so rudely when they are just trying to get information and only ask you to repeat yourself once. I also don’t think it’s kind to raise your voice so aggressively.I give three stars because I feel like they need reception to be a lot kinder and not talk to their future customers like their incompetent.But I’m thankful you guys are here in Utah and offer classes!

Impossible to get in contact with. They ignored my emails, phone calls and even when I physically went into the office nobody was there to help me. I signed up weeks before a ceramics class started and showed up only to find out I wasn’t even enrolled or on the waiting list. They need to fire whoever the receptionist/secretary is and hire somebody else and or at least make sure her shifts get covered for when she takes a two week vacation to Florida and then comes back and is sick for another week.

Was very disappointed in a colored pencil class I took. Instructor was an excellent artist, however not a great teacher. She arrived late and in 2 classes (4 hours) all we did was color on a color wheel - poor time management and organizational skills.

Called twice & left messages each time for a simple call back, no responses from Petersen. The experience is not starting well. I wont be taking classes since they care so little about customers. Shame.

Took the pottery class from LivingSocial. It was a great class! The instructor was great and we learned a lot!
