As someone whos first experience here at Fear Factory was being an actor first and customer later, I can guarantee you that you find no better place than here if you want to get scared right. The actors are all amazing, and going through as a customer, seeing everything from that point of view was special. I definitely recommend going here if youre in the Salt Lake area, or if you just want to go to a good haunted house. This place is definitely worth every penny and more. Guaranteed.
Incredible environment and dedication to furthering the haunted house world sets the Fear Factory apart. Innovation and re-investment is clear every year. Actors and costumes are top-notch, and staff are friendly and well-organized. Highly recommend. Excellent experience front to back. Well worth the money. Will go again.
Went opening weekend and it was such a blast! I go every year and absolutely love the new room they added this year. I also really like the new photo op stations, super funny. It was nice to be able to go out and do a normal activity with all this craziness that 2020 has brought. You can tell they have put a lot of work into making sure we felt comfortable with all the cleaning and masks. Cant wait to go back again next weekend.
My husband and I did the express pass/instant entrance. WORTH EVERY PENNY! we were personally escorted to the front gate, and we were a group of two the entire experience. We felt like we were celebrities at Disneyland! We will definitely be doing that again. We were on a time crunch because of kids with a babysitter. 100% worth the money. Amazing customer and experience. Way to go Fear Factory
Fear factory is a great haunted house. Well worth the price of the ticket. The amount of effort they put in from the visual effects to the actors playing their parts really makes for a good time.My only problem was the speed at which groups were put through due to the very long line of people waiting to get in. Once you get in, theres maybe only a minute or two before you get sandwiched between the groups who went in before and after you. Makes it hard to really enjoy the effort the actors and crew are putting into the haunt when you see things coming ahead of time due to a line of people ahead and behind you.
By far the best haunted house Ive ever been to. There are different sections throughout that all feel very different and scary for different reasons. Without spilling anything, the fog sections are amazing! This place is now going to be a yearly tradition. The attention to detail really payed off.
If you get there early, you’re for sure not going to wait too long, just in my experience. The staff were extremely friendly before you got it, as were the actors when my group lost our way. Getting into the haunted house, I won’t spoil, but it’s worth your time and money. Actors did an amazing job.
Great bang for you buck! The whole experience is long enough and exciting with different themes throughout. I highly recommend comfortable walking shoes as there are a lot of step, ramps, and walking. They also do a great job of mixing it up each year and improving the experience!
I have been going to Fear Factory every year for the last 6 years. It’s always been okay. This year they really stepped it up! They set a great ambiance with music and lighting. The cemetery room is incredible. Their props and scares were so much better. This was the best haunt I’ve been to this year.
Solid haunt. It lasts 30 or so minutes. I always enjoy the clown, 3d glasses area. And this year were two sections I dont remember seeing before that I really enjoyed. I wont spoil anything, but one of them was the last room. It had a cool effect. My sister (one who jumps at everything) said its her favorite of the haunts this year thus far.Theyre very serious about social distancing and wearing masks, be aware. They sold tickets online, so you may not get in if you go without. And the line looks long, but because theyre social distancing everyone it actually moves pretty quickly. We had 7:30 tickets and were done and out at 8:30.
This is literally the best haunted house ever. Me and some of my friends came here the other day and it was amazing, we all had tons of fun. The haunt was amazing and we all got scared a ton. The only problem we had was with the section where we needed to wear the 3D glasses. They didn’t stay on any of our heads and it was a little annoying having to hold the glass to our heads the whole time. The haunted lasted my group a little over 35 minutes which is totally worth way more for what you pay. And it didn’t fell like the haunt was dragging itself on, it was a quality 35 minutes. If you are wondering how they coped with covid they did amazing. They made everyone wear masks at all times. All of the workers in-forced social distancing and spaced us and all the other groups far enough apart so we didn’t see any other group the whole time during the haunt. And they also had a tons of hand sanitizer stations to make sure we were clean. If you are thinking of coming to a haunted house with some friends this is a great place to come have fun and get scared. Overall highly suggest this haunted house because it was fun, it was scary, and it’s totally worth the money.
Super awesome walk through. Plenty of jump scares and a pretty creepy vibe all the way through. The faint of heart will definitely feel the chills, and not just from the cold of night. Staff was super friendly and the line goes by pretty quickly. Overall a very enjoyable experience
This is the scariest and best haunted house I have ever been to. The effect and the promps they used were awesome. What a fantastic set up. I would highly recommend this haunted house to everyone that wants the best experience for their money. I will be back! Thank you Fear factory and staff, you did a great job!
I dont want to spoil anything but it is a great experience. The props are well made and give a good immersive environment. They do a great job with social distancing. There is nothing worse than running into the party in front of you but they kept us distant.
Fair haunt, giving five stars because my son had a minor medical issue while climbing the 9 floors to the top of the tower and the staff was very helpful and understanding. They assisted me in getting him out from the worse possible place to have a problem, genuinely concerned for his well being. So, excellent customer service in this instance.
This is a spooky place. It used to produce cement, now it produces fear. The people here are nice to you, but some of the people are actually monsters and they are mean to you. They yell at you and sometimes say scary/mean things. They are supposed to do that though, thats what you pay them to do. So if you only want people to be nice to you, then probably dont come here. On the other hand if all you care about is the emotional abuse, then attracting a local bully is probably a cheaper option. But if you are also about those spooky vibes, then that is when you want to come here.
This was my first haunted house experience. I was honestly going in hoping to be scared. But I never really did get scared. There were a few times that I jumped but nothing too bad. I was excited because outside in line there were some very scary looking actors, but inside I was just being followed mostly. I went with a couple friends and that was what made it fun.
I go every year and it gets better and better! Super fun, super scary. I lost my car key and the staff was super helpful and found it almost immediately. I also appreciate the safety precautions they’re taking due to covid. I definitely recommend checking it out!
So much better than years past! The different stages were so much more cohesive than before, had some AMAZING props that were added this year. Every actor had a mask on AND they were totally incorporated into their persona! Would definitely recommend this haunted house in this Covid year, staff made sure everyone was safe but had a great time.
The fear factory is such a great experience, from the moment you walk in and being in line you get startled. The presentation is amazing I love how it just feels abandoned and haunted. All the actors did a great job of social distancing in this time. They also did a great job of keeping the guests distanced. That includes in the haunted house, where sometimes you struggle being too close to people and not getting scared.
This place is so rad and filled to the brim with exciting frights around every corner. Make sure to go to this haunt if you have the chance because it’s an absolute thrill. They’re also super involved with the local community which is super neat
Not as hyped up as was said to be but maybe much doesnt scare me. Its very nice. Great props. Actors did great.
Great haunted house! Worth the money, trail wasnt short and made us jump plenty! They also had a fun photo booth area! Everyone wore their masks and hand sanitizer was plentiful! Thanks for a fun time!
Definitely not worth $35! Understanding it is being run under covid conditions and not as many actors in the haunt, there are things that could have been done to enhance the experience and make it more scary. Our experience was a lot of walking up stairs, going down stairs and walking through fog. At one point we were given 3D glasses for the clown room. While the glasses made things stand out more, they were pointless. There were no clowns camouflaged into the walls or anything like that and the glasses just fogged up because of having to wear a mask, making it extremely difficult to see and more dangerous. There were no actors hidden in all of the fog or any props used to scare you while walking through it. The scariest part was having to use the port o potty and being shaken while in it.Although we still had fun, it was disappointing for the price paid.
Very cool maze. I’ve been to quite a few haunted houses here and California. For the price, we were amazed at the quality of this maze. The setting makes for a different kind of experience, both the underground tunnels and suspended staircases were very scary. The decor, actors, scares were all amazing. Will probably go again this year closer to Halloween.
Came all the way from Minnesota and this was honestly one of the best haunts I’ve been to. I am a tough scare and they got me good a few times! Wait times were surprisingly quick despite social distancing and such. Hope to go again sometime!
It was very fun!! Definitely spooky!! Recommend getting tickets ahead of time! We almost didn’t make it in because tickets up to 11 pm were sold out!! It was very fun though! :)
Wow! Were used to Universals Halloween Horror Nights, so our expectations were high, and this surpassed them all! The staff were so kind and helpful, the actors were interactive, and the sets were unreal. This is worth so much more than what you pay!
Huge amount of effort and time Fear Factory employees put in. Easily best decor and atmosphere in a haunted house I have been to. Not as scary as Asylum 49, but does beat them on amount of haunted house there is to walk through. Definitely reccomend. The Line is long, so do come before it gets busy. The only thing I do not like is catching up with the group ahead of me because they are too slow or we are too fast. Then the group behind us eventually gets right behind us due to the blockage created earlier.
This was the best EVER! Tonight was our first time and we highly highly recommend doing the VIP experience. For sure going to come back next year!
I went here last night and all I have to say is wow. This haunted house was amazing and very well done! The ticket prices are standard and it’s worth it. I also love how they really tried to space everyone out for social distancing. You do need to sign a waiver here though so be aware of that when you come. There was also a little area to take pictures and to hangout. They had music playing and I thought the entrance left a better impression than nightmare on 13th. It was very entertaining!! I would say there are a lot of stairs though which there definitely are. We got lucky and we were completely separated from other groups though so every single scare we didn’t see coming and was genuine. They even have rides you can do like zip lining and some others but unfortunately, they weren’t open due to coronavirus. Will have to be back to do those next time!! It is now my favorite haunted house to go to between Provo up to Kaysville. This place is by far the scariest haunted house that I’ve been to. I think this place is definitely not for kids but it’s great if you want a good scare. Nightmare on 13th, I’d say had way more special effects but Fear Factory does a better job of scaring you. I thought it was freaky and I loved it. I would say that the employees were pretty friendly too! I loved the whole thing but especially the end!! Will definitely be coming back!
Fun night with the kids. Got there at 10, done at 11:30. Our slot was 10:30-11. Due to covid, no worries about actors touching you...it was a little hard to breathe in certain areas with the mask on...for me and one of the kids with me...but survived. People follow you to sanitize handrails...that creeped me out...because you have to be 6 feet away from other groups...and I kept getting a glimpse of someone right behind me...too close...and it was an employee sanitizing behind me... Great effects, decor, music, actors...apparently rated #2 in the US. We rode electric scooters there, but you can park at Gateway and take a free zombie bus there...
It was OK. They really need to do a better job keeping groups separated from each other since the people up front can spoil whats coming for the people behind them. My son and I ran into that problem a few times. The scare actors cant get right up in front of you, which isnt their fault due to social distancing, but they really need to step things up to compensate for that. It was pretty tame because of that. And if youre going to have a dude with a chainsaw then dont stick him behind a fence where it completely takes away from the threat of a chainsaw. The slide was shut down this year, which was a shame, but again it was completely understandable due to the ChiCom Cough. The atmosphere and sets are the big reason to go since its such a unique location.
Maybe everyone else had a different experience than I did and maybe I came on a bad night but wow was I disappointed. I’ve been to every haunted house in the state this year and we purposely saved Fear Factory for last after all we’ve heard. There were some really impressive sets and great environments but that didn’t manner because 90% of the actors didn’t capitalise on those scares. They would just stand in the open and growl at you as you walked past. Fear Factory this year was all bark and no bite.
They have reached the level of quality that makes this an insanely professional haunt. Everything flowed sooo smoothly and the covid precautions they took went above and beyond. The ending of the haunted house threw me off a bit but overall the experience was amazing!
Cool haunted house in a historic building, lots of cool actors and machines, i also was in there for 50 minutes! Much longer than any other similar attraction Ive been to, very worth it
Terrifying and so much fun!! The actors in here are amazing and the special effects in the experience were so cool!! Highly recommend
Its was fun but know that theres a section where you literally climb like 4 flights of stairs and you can stop because theres people behind you and its hot so you get a little bit of a workout in haha. Other than that it lasted about 30-35 min and it was a fun group activity!
This was the best, most professional, haunted attraction I have ever seen! I loved it. It was over too fast!
I think they do such a killer job, even with covid they were doin such a great job scaring people. Ive now been two times. Once just a year after they opened and then 2020. Definitely a must
For how much they charged, it wasnt that scary.. I think a 4D rollercoaster ride I went on as a kid scared me more than this, the scariest part was the catwalk where you can see down a story or two. Dont believe their claim to be the second scariest haunted house in the U.S., I think their rated second in the state, even then just going for a walk in the middle of the woods alone in the dark would be more frightening.
Usually a lot more employees doing the scary thing and what not, but they are accommodating for covid and doing their best. It was still fun but not as jumpy sadly. But they had a new fog room addition and it was amazing
This place is so freaking awesome! Great atmosphere! It really is the best haunted attraction in utah
The white smoke looking for the white light was crazy! Brought my daughter for her 16th birthday. Everyone had a great time!
The best! I love fear factory. Will go again.
Super cool sets! I loved the clown area with the 3d glassesActors kept violating social distancing though and we all know the scariest thing of all is disease.Excessive use of strobe lights was annoying at times.
This haunt is among one of the best I have been to. It took 30 minutes exactly to walk through the entire thing. The atmosphere and effects were really amazing. I have been to just about every haunt in Utah and this is the best one I have been to so far. I went in blackout night so there were no lights throughout the haunt. It would’ve been a good idea to add some spot lights for their animatronics/ drop panels. With out spotlights in blackout night made it so we could only hear the animatronic but we had no idea where the actual thing was. The fog effects were really amazing. Animatronics on the other hand need some work. They did do a really great job at making the cylinders really quiet so you couldn’t even hear the solenoid valve clicking. What they do need to do is hide the PIR sensors better or to get a different trigger method that we can’t see in plain sight. There were not really any animatronics that were truly amazing and that stood out to me. They did have the longest laser swamp I have ever seen in a haunt before. Within the swamp, they could’ve have better air flow because the beginning and the end of the swamp were really good, but in the middle it got so fogged you that the effect was lost. Some of the best effects were the moving walls that move from side to side and the drop platform. They did a really good job at evening out the walkway to get on the platform. You really do bit see many drop platforms that go down that much so it was a very fun surprising experience. I would have liked to see actors interact with customers more as they are going through. Really only one or two actors even said something to us. The room where the actors had mics attached to them was super cool. It made for a really disorienting effect. Honestly, I expected more from a place like this. They really could’ve updated some of their effects with the newer technology there is out there for haunts. I will however, be returning next haunt season.
One of the best haunted house experiences Ive had and it lasted for a good while which made me happy. Something that impressed me is how well they enforced social distancing during this pandemic.
Claims to be the 3rd scariest haunted house in the country when I could name several others in the state that are scarier. It was still a cool experience with amazing special effects but don’t make those kinds of claims if you can’t back it up
The actors in my opinion should give it a bit more. Some of them looked like they where on break. But I loved the place looks scary
Best haunted house in Utah. And the biggest! They are covid safe, and are taking all the precautions to make everyone safe.
It was great and followed social distancing protocol. My favorite part was the dropping room and the crypt section.
I mean I was really sad for this one cuz I was looking forward to it it was supposed to be the best haunt around but honestly I found myself not scared with any of it other than my anxiety of heights but other than that it didnt really have anything going for it I mean it had a few pop scares that may have got you may not have got you but really it didnt have what it should have had for the prices people were paying to get in and for the price of people paid for VIP I also found this one same thing like in other ones I found you caught up to groups way too fast and that the actors who were trying to scare you couldnt get in position fast enough to scare people or they just didnt care about scan those people you had a few actors who were playing the role and would really scare you and then you had other actors that couldnt get into a character and scare you and I hate saying that about this place but I mean theres just a lot of stuff that was done that could have been done better and has been done better also on the side note if youre definitely afraid of heights I wouldnt go here because its literally a straight drop down with the floor I mean me having an anxiety attack for heights I mean it was pretty bad for me at that point but after I got off the stairs and it wasnt high anymore the fear went away and it was just a place to walk through like oh e look at that look at this and not to mention paying for the VIP again you really got a shot glass which is nice and you got a photo but it was a photo you can easily get from The fear factory Facebook so over all being said I would have to say this year with the covid-19 times fear factory let me down majorly and to those few actors there that actually was able to stay in character I give you props but sadly with that being said theres tons of other better haunted houses to go to...
Nice set up but they needed to hire more people for sure!
It was a lot of fun, went with my nephews who are 9 and 10 and they loved it. Great place to go with family and friends
Super intense, never felt like that in a haunted before! Would do again! Super fun!
It was awesome me and my friends had an awesome time and where scared the whole time definitely suggest it
Kickass performance! Loved the masks that they used and all the actors did an amazing job for the circumstances of COVID!
This place was awesome this year. Their props, decorations, and setup are unmatched.
Everything was amazing, i felt terrified the entire way through but in a fun way the characters were amazing and they even stayed in character and messes around with my groupgroup. I would definitely recommend it.... Ps. My legs are still shaking!!!!!!
Loved it!!! The swamp is the best. Loved the whole place non stop fun!
One of the best Haunted experiences in the area. VIP access, Zipline, Music with Live DJ, Games, Magicians and other great performances while waiting to enter. Food and Drinks are also available while in line. FREE Professional Photos taken when entering and available online or for purchase upon exiting.
Loved the end with the white light. Couldn’t see anything. Soooo scary
Of all The Haunted houses my little girl says this is the best one
It was a lot of fun but I dont know if it is worth the price
This year was not good. 95% of the actors just stood there. Then the other 5% stomped on our feet or pushed us. Most of staff was really rude and grumpy. Hopefully next year will be good like the past.
This place is my favorite haunted house. I love the themes and how they set it up to make me go
They go all out at fear factory with the sets and actors. The old factory building is awesome
Really creative and scary haunted house! We got there right at opening and had basically no wait, super worth it.
Too crowded. Too many people. Not scary this year. Running into the next group.
Super cool haunt, good regulations for covid as well. One of the best ive been too!!!
Better than a thought. The best in SLC.
It was so fun, it was all trippy, psychedelic, and freaky all at the same time. Definetly coming next year
Super spooks and was my first haunted house so I was impressed.
Best Experience ever, loved the clowns this year and the interactive experience
I love the theme on it. The only problem is that I am fat so stair are scary xD!
I was an amazing experience, they really make big changes on it . Love it
Such a great experience, I had so much damn fun.
I love the new area where the floor drops!! I love the swamp as well
Dont go on the weekends. We got stuck waiting for the people in front of us in almost every room and the people behind us kept getting too close. There was a waiting line through the whole haunted house because there were too many people. It ruined the experience and all the scares. We were so disappointed.
It was fun. Conquered my biggest fear. Heights!!
By far the best haunt 10/10 would absolutely recommend
The swamp is so awesome! I love fear factory!
Great experience as always. So scary 10/10 come!
One of my favorite haunted houses!
The tunnel made you feel like you were in a different dimension!
Got My Car Broken Into Right Across The Street From This Place And They Took My Wifes Purse With Everything In It. Be Very Cautious Parking Your Car Here If You Own An Nice One Even Though Theres An Cop In The Street All Night!
It was awesome. We had VIP tickets so the line was cut drastically short.
It was a great experiance. We loved it.
Really good experience my friends first time and she loved
Its the coolest place to be in Utah. Definitely giving it 5 stars
Amazing people. Really safe and fun!!
Wish it was open all year round. I havent been scared like i was at this place in a long time.
Very quick walk through haunted house type attraction.
The end was super trippy ! Definitely had a good time !
Its so scary and lots of fun.
