Started playing here again after approximately 15 year hiatus. The greens were quite saturated which i liked and the course was in very good shape. There are 2 fairways currently under repair with one being a par 3. With smart club selection you can go low here. After 3 rounds i actually had my best round ever breaking 90. Club personnel are wonderful people to talk to as well.

A decent place for discount golf. Cheap green fees, and the greens roll pretty well, but its not long, and not terribly challenging for the bogey golfer. If your looking for a place where you can drink cold beer and spray the ball around, or just learning the game, its the course for you.

I grew up a lot further in the country from this area but this was the closest course to my house. For those of us who dont like throwing money away and just love a good round of golf. This is a awesome course for the regular type of golfer who doesnt think hes PGA material. Ive played golf around the world in the Navy and this is one of the best courses you will find in America. However if youre one of those people that want everything perfect on a golf course you need to stay away. I guess you would call this my home course. Its not the prettiest course in the world. The clubhouse is actually is really decent however the outhouse between 4, 11, + 5 has been taken over by wasp overhead. And it looks like termites have eaten most of the wood on the outhouse. However it does have running water usually soap, and paper are always in there. So I guess technically you would have to call it the middle of the course bathrooms. Well enough about things that dont matter. What I like about this course its easy to walk. However it is getting harder these days with the overzealous cart drivers. They have a lot of people that try to get in a lot of holes in the carts and they tend to rush you. Best thing to do its just letting the carts through. Theres been a couple of let through that Ive actually caught up with on occasion. Some of the golfers here think theyre better than they are. Then there are some very good golfers here also Ive seen some great shots in my walking career here. This is the kind of course you can have some great shots. A lot of the holes are almost reachable in one shot if not two. If you have the time and its not a busy day I recommend shooting from the blue tees. They are always better kept and less used. Dont worry it will totally help you the PGA wont discount your score. You will still be able to brag about your score. Not a bad course to either ride, or walk. To be as close as we are to the city the nature and beauty surround this place is awesome. I have seen foxes, deer, black snakes, and cranes and even pelicans and of course geese, and ducks etc .Very occasionally you will see parachutists and some crazy planes doing acrobatic moves practicing. The Airport runway is right over this golf course for Salisbury North Carolina. Some of the fairways are lacking grass right now but they are working on it. For the most part the greens are always pretty well kept here .The ones with the water in front of them take a beating because people or trying to get over the water and give it heavy ball spin to stay on the green coming in hot. Most people fix their divots but for some reason some people here dont. They are some beautiful holes here one of my favorites is number 3 and number 4 also number 6 is long and has water at the end. The back of the course 12 through 18 goes pretty fast. And the holes are pretty close together. Thats why this course its really easy to walk most of the holes are very close to each other. This place can get really crowded at times. The clubhouse will tell you the days of the week that the people come to do tournaments. Usually Monday through Friday is not bad here. On the weekends everywhere around here the golf courses are a zoo. I tend to not even try to golf on the weekends. Way too many people trying to do the same thing. With the daylight savings time. You can start walking this course around 4 and get in nine easy. And on occasion if you push it real good 18 is not out of reach you will finish about right at dark. If your cart riding 18 is easy to finish if you start out before 4 or 4:30 p.m. Usually Monday through Friday you are all alone after 3 p.m. at this course. Occasionally youll need to let a fast moving cart run through. But this course is beautiful to walk after 3 in the afternoon. The wildlife starts coming alive in the evening. You will enjoy this course. Probably you will get a decent score most people can hit bogey golf here pretty easy even if they dont play a lot. There are also a lot of good golfers that hit par here pretty regularly.

I enjoy rollinghills, very affordable, if I were a professional golfer I might expect more, but being a relearning golfer.it suits my pay grade. They maintain it just fine .I find it challenging for my skill level. They are very friendly just good folks. I find myself playing there more than the others around here.but thats just me.
