I have been frequenting this store for about a year now. It is located in a good part of town. The people that work here are very courteous and friendly. Any questions that I have asked I was always given answers which directed me to the correct item/s needed. It is located in an older building complete with one of those original tall doors - occasionally I come here just to see the door. Mike the manager is a man of integrity and although he is usually very busy he often takes the time to engage me in my philosophical points of view. Great place - people are very nice folks - my favorite store in this venue. I highly recommend

I was impressed with the store, staff, knowledge, and overall highlight was gathering info from.Kristin is what I thought was her name...

A clerk advised me incorrectly on which coils I needed. I specifically indicated which ones I needed and was assured that I was getting the correct one. Before the transaction was completed I asked if she was sure these were the correct coils, at the wattage I had been using. I was told they were the correct ones. When I went to fit them in they were the wrong coils. Upon returning to the store they realized their error but would not issue a refund or exchange them for the correct coils. I had to pay in full for the correct ones. I will not be returning to this store.

I called to ask about the price of BUTANE. Which you can call Lowe’s and do the same and they will actually give you a price without some BS about age verification. I wasn’t inquiring about glass or tobacco products. But about a CAN of BUTANE. I feel like one should be able to field certain questions without having to ask someone’s age over the phone, I wasn’t placing an order, simply asking a question. Also from my three visits the staff have been unhelpful to the point that it makes you feel unwelcome and usually stand around until a brave one asks if you need any help.

Blonde headed girl with tattoos was rude an disrespectful. Couldnt answer questions about product I was interested in . Never had a problem in this store till now. My visit was on August 15th around 7:30, 8:00So Disappointed !

I came in as a last option. I should have came here 1st. Megan was so understanding, nice and very knowledgeable. Then I met mike. They understood my issue and helped me pick a proper product for my issue. Dylan helped a lot as well. I will be back. Thank you all very much

Ive been to like five different High Life shops around NC. Every one of them is fantastic. Chill, friendly, helpful, and professional staff. Their product selection is always ample, and of great quality. Prices are usually pretty hard to beat, too. The Salisbury shop really stands out though. Doesnt matter what time of day, or day of the week, the folks working here are always super helpful and nice. You couldnt ask for any more.

Everytime i go here they always got an answer,great staff,clean and neat.Since covid Ive been in there once,seems a different staff and different owner, owner seemed rude and demanding, maybe its just me but its got to be a different owner. Its all good in this life of high altitudes

If I could give zero stars I would. The manager Mike is very nasty and rude when asked questions about the products. This is what happened during my time in the store this past weekend. A previous time I was at the store, I have witness him belittle the other employees in front of customers, this is so unprofessional and goes to show that this company doesnt care about its employees. I will not be shopping here for my kratom anymore.

The pushy sales rep sold me a $100 GeekVape mod which died the night I got it home. They outright denied any responsibility even though it was an open box sale. They told me to go talk to the manufacturer for warranty replacement - that was 4 months ago. Still waiting, $100 down the drain.Say whatever you want about the shop itself (their glass selection is ok), but dont buy a vape from them. They will stonewall you if anything goes wrong with it and wont give a $#!t about you once they have your money. Rolling Fog over on Jake has a smaller selection, but they are a lot friendlier and I always feel welcome in that shop.

Christina helped me pick out vape liquid. She was very knowledgeable on the brands and tastes. She also helped my boyfriend pick out a vape set and helped him with what mg he should use and flavor.She was also very knowledgeable on the water pipes. The staff was very friendly and helpful. This is my place to go for sure. Thank you guys!

Wonderful store with wonderful people. Mike is an excellent manager and Megan is an outstanding associate! The store is organized beautifully and the associates are constantly helping and answering questions. Kristin and Ashley are wonderful new additions who fit right in! Excellent customer service. I don’t really smoke, vape, etc. This was my first time ever in High Life. I went into the store looking for a phone charger and I was greeted by an employee. Being a tobacco shop, I was immediately asked for my ID! I am very impressed by that. There are too many young kids smoking. Unfortunately they didn’t carry phone chargers. While I was in there, the items on display were stocked and very organized. This establishment is very clean. Before I walked out the door, I saw a sign telling me to review High Life on Google. Being a Local Guide, I am happy to. I highly recommend this place!

Asked for Russian cream backwoods she gave me the wrong pack then I paid she handed me the wrong one and I said I asked for Russian Creme. She goes sorry that’s my bad but we have a no exchange or return policy. Even tho the lady at the counter gave me the wrong package and I didn’t even leave the building yet? Lol ok, maybe you guys should get someone who’s over 21 to run the register.

Would advise anyone to find a better place to spend your cash. They r just so busy they dont need your money at all. Find a place that is actually capable of helping you, not acting like they cant. Husband went in and bought two coils that the sales clerk said would fit his tank (that she looked at). In the car outside he tried to put the coil in and it didnt fit. He went right back inside and they informed him they didnt do exchanges on coils. It was less than a minute later and they told him it was the right coil. That is not only terrible customer service, but basically robbery. The coils are useless and we are out the money. Never going here again. If that is your policy you might want to know your product.

I hadn’t been in this store since it was expressions back in the day. So glad I walked in because High Life is such a great store.(Honestly I like it better then the old store expressions) When I went in I was asked if I wanted any help finding what I was looking for. The lady then proceeded to answer my questions I had and was super friendly. They had everything I was wanting to get and a lot more. I definitely recommend stopping by and looking at there great selection. I will definitely be returning.

Ive shopped here before, no problem. I came in today already knowing what I wanted to purchase. I was making friendly conversation with one of the staff members and she very quickly held up her hand in a stop manner and pointed at a sign and said, Read the sign! I read the sign and was just baffled at how she cut me off mid-sentence just to point that sign out to me as if I were going to talk about the forbin devils lettuce. I just looked at her and finished my sentence since what she *thought* I was going to say was inaccurate. It was very rude. I can appreciate she was doing her job but at the same time, this was very poor customer service. It made me feel uncomfortable to shop there and to be honest I wish I had went somewhere else to spend my $65. But I knew what I wanted and figured to just get it while I was there. This one bad experience ruined it for me. Please encourage your staff to learn dos and donts - as well as how to **appropriately** correct a customer without jumping to conclusions before a customer can finish a sentence. I understand youre doing your job, but part of your job is customer service. Do it well. If a customer says something against policy, correct them AFTER and direct them to the sign.UPDATE: After speaking with the manager, I feel a lot better about the situation. He listened and had a positive attitude/response which in the end, is why I gave it a higher star rating than when I first rated this as review as a 2. One thing I can appreciate is his professionalism and taking time out of his day to speak with me and perform corrective actions where it is due. Thank you.

To say that the people who work here are helpful and super friendly is an understatement! They were so patient with me and eager to help which was great for me because I was looking to make the switch from smoking cigarettes to vaping but was completely lost as to what and how I should go about it. As soon as you come in they acknowledge you and offer assistance but theyre also not overbearing and super easy to talk to!! I was able to get everything that I had gone in to get plus a ton of helpful information on the things that I was interested in! Ive been back a few times since both to get specific things and also just to kill some time and look around and either way they make you feel completely comfortable! Which is more than I can say for some of the other locations I have been to where I was nowhere near as happy with the experience I had. Theyve got a ton of stuff and they are as knowledgeable as they are nice which is what Customer service is about. I dont have a bad word to say for the place and I am definitely going to be back!!

Wow! The staff here is knowledgeable a friendly. Great selection of products too. I have not dealt with with people more educated about their product than the folks here, especially Mike. If I didnt live in Iowa this would be my go to 100%.

Spent $120 in 2 months on 2 glass water pipes. The 2nd one ive had a week. Both have broken internally shortly after I bought them. Lets be realistic, Im not bringing them back for a return. Duh. But very unhappy with their glass products.

This smoke shop is very nicely set up, the staff are very helpful and friendly and answered every question I had and were very knowlegable about their products. Very nice selection of pipes and vapes. I would 10/10 recommend this place to anyone that doesnt know what their looking for or even those that do because they will cover all of your needs.

Went to buy a product that was part of a 50%-off sale but when it was scanned by the employee working it showed up as full price. I was told there was nothing that could be done by the employee working, and that a manager was the only one that could fix it. I was told I would have to come back at a later date. Thats not how retail works. This location used to be locally owned, and I doubt I would have had this issue in the past. Luckily, its not the only headshop in Salisbury. Avoid this chain and support local business. This was first and last experience with High Life. I intend to inform my friends and all I come in contact with on this issue and direct them to them locally owned headshop down the street.

Without a doubt the most aesthetically pleasing smoke shop in North Carolina, located in a beautiful historic downtown district.
