My family and I spent a week and half here at the beginning of August. I had some concerns due to some other reviews but fortunately we did not experience any issues with theft or with the nearby freeway, train tracks or businesses next door. In regards to the nearby homeless camp, I only saw one person riding through the park while we were there. The front office staff was nice every time we called and also the couple of times we were there in person, so no issues there either as was reported by others. The site we were given was near the front and was very wide and more than long enough to accommodate our 5th wheel and truck. Everything was nice and clean and we really enjoyed having this park as our home base for the duration of our time in Salem. I only knocked off one star because my family said the bathrooms near the pool were not as clean as other places we have stayed, but I suspect that is because there were a lot of people there the weekend we arrived and the pool and bathrooms were being heavily used. We have our own facilities so it wasnt a huge deal in my opinion. Overall this is a nice park and I would have no issues staying here again.
Stayed there a few times and the kids and we all enjoyed it very much but this day we got our two nice bikes stolen they cut the somebody cut the wires or the chain and took my road bike which was like a 2500 Dollar Rd. bike and my husband‘s trek mountain bike that was a $2000 bike . We’ve been joyed staying there in the past and most likely will stay there again but be sure if we go there again will lock everything inside our vehicle or in our trailer don’t leave nothing out it’s not safe Oh and by the way our bikes were locked up they were chained to the front of our trailer I was told that they had like 30 bikes taken in the past I don’t know how long but he would think that upon coming into the park that they were either posted at the window to be that we’ve had stolen bikes or stolen items to make sure that you lock them up inside your vehicle or inside your dwelling if you go somewhere but we were not informed of nothing when we arrived you were thought they put a note on the paper that they give you to find your space or something
Very nice resort. Wonderful facilities. Lots of trees for shade at the sites. Cement pads and paved drives. There are three RV site sections. We were in the short term section. Unfortunately this section does not have a dedicated pet area like the other two. It was a bit of a walk from our site to a pet area. There are no rules about your pet using the grass at your site, but to be considerate of the next RVer who is put in our site we dont have our pet use this area. So, at 2:00 a.m. when your dog needs to go it is quite a hike to the pet area. You are in the city and there are security cameras. However, as a woman having to walk the distance to the pet area at that time of night is uncomfortable. Would recommend they put a grassy area in for this section like they have for the others.
This RV Resort is beautiful! It is very clean and orderly. The spaces are level cement pads, with a nice patch of grass at each site. The bathrooms and showers are clean and the laundry facilities are modern. The staff is professional and friendly. I highly recommend Hee Hee Illahee RV Resort & campground.
Very clean rv Park. All paved and level. My smart TV wasnt smart enough to get wifi but all phones and tablets worked. No view and freeway (I5) noise is obnoxious tonight. Perfect weather makes a big +
I stayed hear a week ago. The park is nice but the lady running the office was rude to me multiple times. She also had a dog in the office Im allergic to dogs so my first night I was congested even broke out in hives. Very disappointing she would keep her dog in the office. I had to call the office because the wifi wasnt working she was rude and no help at all. Due to poor management and making me feel unwelcomed I will never return.
Great clean spot. Nice in the fall for sure.
Very nice park and had cable also. Will stay here every year on our trip up north and on our way back home to Arizona.
Very clean rv park.now know to do monthly.20 days was 954.00 dollars.we would stay again.staff was friendly.Spaces were very big and accomadated our rv and truck.
Bad area but nice place. LOCK UP EVERYTHING! If you get something stolen, management doesnt care! Even with 12 cameras on site they just said a tree was blocking the view. I had 2 electric scooters locked to our 5th wheel. They cut the cables in mid day and stole them. Even the cops did nothing. Very very upset with manager.
It as easy to book online, however you dont get much space, youre up your neighbors sewer drain if you know what i mean!Made my wife real uncomfortable, we booked online cuz the several tones we called there was no answer, even called after we booked, again no answer, but when we show up they act surprised and inconvenienced. Had a real bad attitude. Although we didnt see her again till we were leaving and she got mad cuz we werent gone yet and the next people arrived early. (That shouldnt be out problem as they have a check in time but ok)My wife and kids were uncomfortable being outside, they kept saying it felt like someone was watching them. Which could be true seeing your parked 4ft from each other. It might be a good one night stand but i wouldnt recommend a second date
Was a nice RV park. Met all needs . Staff and other travelers were friendly. The park was clean and well kept. I would recommend as a fun, safe place for travelers.
I love it there! Nice people and great service
Great staff. Lots are nice!
Really nice clean resort. Sites are spacious and level. Staff was friendly and helpful, resort felt safe and very well cared for. 10 outta 10!
Loved staying at this RV resort! The staff was friendly from reservation all the way to check-out. The spots were easy to park our RV, had nice little grassy areas with a picnic table right beside the spot, and they had individual bathroom facilities which were clean the whole stay. We didnt get a chance to use the pool or hot tub, but they looked nice. Would recommend this place and we will stay here when we visit with our RV!
We had 2 scooters stolen while staying there and did not get any reaction or action, from the staff.
Presque VU. Very familiar place. Even the woman driving around in the black Toyota oddly familiar and the dude that our neighbor was buying the trailer from. Something is wrong about this place. Something crooked as if they are covering up for past events. Avoid it. It has crooked VIA and Crooked FBI all over it.
What an enjoying stay I had at the Salem Oregon RV Resort ; Hee Hee Illahee !!! Very nice place with a pool, spa, and nice RV spots,,,,,, also close enough to the city to get all your needs including food cravings if you get one !! Will be on the top of my list for a RV Resort stop if Im passing through this way again !!
Easy access to camp spots plenty of room. Needs year round swim pool
Very nice and clean... The most rewarding comment heard.
Very easy to park your 5th wheel. Nice little green lawn and table next to your spot. The facility bathrooms are nice as well. Private toilet and shower were very clean.
This place is great. Laundry very clean. They need to power wash all pads. They need to add soil on the grassy areas I rolled my ankles twice because of soft ground.
Park is very nice, but last year we were here and grass was super green. This year brown. Pool is nice. Workout area is sufficient
Clean, well managed and beautiful setting, great pool and friendly management.
Very family friendly. Very clean. RV spaces are beautiful. Easy off and on freeway. Nightly rates good.
Beautiful place. Much more green than most of these concrete resorts. Classy, yet relaxed.
Big, level spots.
Our favorite RV park in Salem Oregon. Very clean, well maintained. Great dog run clean well maintained and large enough to exercise a Newfie. Laundry is new and clean, nice clubhouse and pool although the pool is closed in the winter. Very convenient on and off the freeway and far enough away to not get freeway noise.
Great Park! Very clean and relatively quiet. A little bit of road noise if youre on the front end but nothing that kept me awake at night. The staff were an absolute joy to work with. Very attentive and accommodating. Cant really say anything bad about the place other than the female senior citizen who works out in the gym in the evening is extremely rude. She believes that since she has been residing at the park for the last four years, she should have exclusive use of the gym during her workout time and verbally admonished us for being in the room while she was trying to get her workout. Very off-putting but it didnt dampen the overall experience of the park. Highly recommended.
We have stayed here several times, and regularly visit family here. Its a great RV park, kid and pet friendly. Nice little playground for the kids, BBQ and picnic area, an outdoor pool and hot tub, and a clubhouse with a kitchen, pool table, ping pong, TV, and a workout room. Definitely will stay here again, and definitely recommend to others. Great staff, too - very friendly! :)
Friendly staff girls enjoyed swimming pool and pool table lots were good size but lawns dry.
Lovely, large RV resort. Swimming pool, recreation room, laundry and showers. Concrete pads with grass and concrete drives.
Clean and quiet park. Very friendly people.
This is a top notch RV park. Easy access from freeway, paved driveways and sites, roomy feeling, clean, big grass strips, nice laundry, excellent shower rooms. Pool in the warm months. Plenty of resources nearby: fuel, groceries, hardware, etc. Day tripping about 20 miles northeast puts you in the epicenter of Pinot Noir wine production for the entire US. We paid about $50 for a full 50 amp hookup per night. Felt like a good value.
Great location. Near freeway but far enough that you dont really hear it. Clean and well placed out.
Nice concrete pads, trees for shade & quiet - considering proximity to I-5. We were visiting friends who live here.
Clean . Nice, friendly clerk. Easy access.
Really nice place with lots of amenities. There doesnt appear to be any permanently parked trailers, and the park is very clean. Good wifi strength and speed. The only downside is that there is a fair amount of road noise from the highway nearby, but it is definitely not a deal breaker.
Didnt stay here yet. Was just checking it out to see if we wanted to stay here on next trip. Easy off from freeway. Close but not too close so didnt here traffic from hwy. Looked super clean and nice.
It was a very nice establishment to take our rv to we got to wash and clean both the rv and trailer and use all the amenities like as if we were a full timer in the resort the people are fantastic who manage it and the clubhouse and pool are amazing your stuff left out is very secure and is not messed with around the property its a very nice place to take the whole family to and swim bbq play horse shoe lawn darts or whatever strikes you the play area for the kids is amazing its our new hangout when we need it we will be back 1000% positive
We really enjoy this RV Park. Family friendly!
Nice place to relax with good people
The campground is delightful! From the nicely manicured camping spaces to the pool and BBQ areas, there is something for everyone here! Staff are friendly, the area is clean and well maintained. With a central location this is sure to be our go to spot when we are in the area!
To me this place is to noisy. I-5 road traffic around the clock. Forget about opening your windows. Train whistles during the night. Some kind of asphalt smell during the day. When we were there the cable didnt work and there isnt any help on call after hours. The place itself is very nice. Wide roads and long pull thrus. Nice amenities if they all are working. Nicely manicured, clean and well kept. Bathrooms are very clean too. I just cant get passed the constant road noise. It kept me from a good nights sleep. It may not bother you.
Wonderful place to stay! The staff is so friendly, and they take the time to get to know you.
Fairly clean, other than all the grass being dead. I wouldnt think it to be a 5 star resort.
Super clean! Nice level concrete pad with full hookups. A green grass area next to each site. Newer picnic tables. Quiet and lovely.
So clean and well taken care of. Beautiful grass and well sized spaces. Big plus..so close to the Original Pancake House for the best breakfast!
Very nice facility. With everything you could ask for is there . pool- pool tables washer and dryer and foosball table .and big conference room with kitchen.
Nice RV Resort. Clean and well managed. Bathrooms are clean, pool is good, spaces are paved and grassed. Convenient location. Staff is good. We would definitely recommend this park.
Amazing friendly place to visit! Or granddaughters enjoyed every minute! Very clean and well taken care of.
My wife and I live here full time in our RV and we absolutely love it. It is very clean with lots of things to do . Everyone is very friendly and the staff is awesome and very helpful.
Very clean, other campers quiet, level concrete pads, easy water, electricity, and sewer hookups in the appropite location. Train whistles a and free way sounds can be heard but they were not a problem to us. Nice activity center.
I only live an hour away but I wish I had more excuses to stay here! Excellent place.
Great place to stay, they had a nice pool to get out of the scorching 100 degree heat, and they had a nice family area with fast internet, an Xbox One, and many board games for you and your family to play when youre bored.
Hee Hee Illahee RV Resort is a great park. We are staying here for four months. The sites are all paved and level. Each site also has a picnic table. The people who are staying here long term are very friendly. All of the sites are well kept. The park does a great job at maintaining the landscape. There are several dog areas, including one long enclosed dog run. The park is fairly quiet. I recommend this park to anyone wanting to stay one night or srveral months.
Worst RV Park in the State. Lived their for over 13 years, they should be fined and shut down for the way they treat the elderly and the handy caped. MANAGMENT should be in jail for the way She has treated the elderly. VERY SAD..
Went there for a family function. The only place i know there is the main office gathering room. Its pretty nice
Great staff and nice cleen and quiet place
Great place to visit. Friendly staff and clean facility. We higy recommend staying here if there is an opening.
Great place to stay. Great staff, people are friendly, clean restrooms and laundry room. Gazebo awesome in the summer for barbecue or family event. Swimming pool . Enjoying our stay. Highly recommend.
Wonderful place! Extremely well taken care of, the pool was great, especially when it turned out to be 100 degrees! Bathrooms/showers were kept very clean. Really nice game room, though the Xbox that was advertised was not working, much to the chagrin of the 10 year old boy. I highly recommend this place to anyone who wants a glamping type place.
Convenient off freeway RV park. Very nice spots with grass & trees. Dog friendly, nice pool.
This is hands down one of my favorite RV parks. Its always clean, staff is friendly and its an all around good place to stay. Multiple amenities
Nice park. I only used dump site
I am giving it one star is because of how they inconvenience their patrons. They are very unaccomadating!!! If you are planning on staying here more than a few nights expect to have to move to another site. We stayed here for a week, on the last night of our stay they said we had to move, but there was someone in the spot we were suppose to go to. Even though there were several other spots empty they would not let us take one of them after we asked so that we could go to an appointment we had that was an hour away! We spoke to other patrons who also had to move 2 or 3 times during their stay in this park. We wont come back!!!
Great place to stay one of the Best
This place is like the Marriott of RV parks!! Everything was beautiful and meticulous! Great pool!! Loved our stay!
Besides the name being a b to remember the place is always in great shape and ran good.
Were full-timers and have stayed in many RV parks across the country. Hee Hee ranks right up among the nicest places weve stayed coast to coast. All sites are concrete with nice grass and picnic tables. The park is kept clean and is well managed by very nice people. If you dont mind a fairly short walk, there are a few restaurants and a grocery store close by. The only negative is the proximity to the train tracks but there arent very many trains going through so no big deal.
Great. Got rec room and sauna. Swimming pool.
Very nice and clean RV park.
This place has everything for travelers and the bathrooms are clean and roomy! The front desk staff told us to pick our own space since it was a Sunday afternoon, and we paid for it the next morning, they were very friendly and my husband told them when we come back down next fall, well definitely stop in again soon!
Never been
Lg pull thru sites. Grassy with a shade tree on each lot. Not much hwy noise and distant trains. Nice amenities and all sites should get satellite
The resort has a relaxing atmosphere it is very clean and the spots are wide. The pool is large enough for my 3 boys to play in without disturbing other too much and the lounge is complete with a massage chair, pool table, card tables and a giant tv!
This resort is lovely. Extremely clean. Concrete pads with grass and picnic table beside it. $47 per night. The only bad thing is the noise. Highway and train, all night.
Very nice place to park your rv. Ammenities include a pool, sauna, washer/dryers, bbq area, pool house with clean bathrooms, satellite cable, high speed wifi and very clean well kept grounds.
If you drive a big rig, this is the very best RV park in the Salem area. At 45 pulling an Explorer, we had NO issues maneuvering this Park. Yes there is road noise, but in our travels across country its pretty common when staying within a city. Would definitely recommend it and wouldnt consider any of the others in Salem.
This place is awesome it has a rec center with a pool barbecue area picnic place playground very clean very beautiful was a great visit
In great condition, good clubhouse. But highway noise and trains with whistles/horns were really bad at night I recall one train blew his horn 10 time while going thru.
Beautiful park, big rig friendly, quick check-in, reasonable rates, close to the freeway.
Developing into a nice RV Park. Trains every 30 minutes but not close enough to really be an issue. Monthly rate guests are very friendly. Everything is clean and well maintained. Nicest RV park in Salem.
I didnt stay, Husbands truck broke down and they allowed him to park it there long enough to get it towed. So...nice folks, just never ahd the chance t stay overnight. if only the truck could talk...
Well maintained reasonable rates.
Wonderful and friendly staff, clean facilities, and beautiful grounds. I would rate the best in Salem!!
This is a very quiet comfortable R.V. park
Friendly and accommodating.
Very clean. Easy on & off freeway.
The in-laws stay here and The kids and I enjoy visiting. Cute community with an amazing at home feeling and the residents 100%!!!
Even has a book leanding place, small gym, pool, hot tub, some board games in the library. Play ground, each place has grass and Paved place to park. Picnic table
Clean park, convenient hook ups, and all.ameniries you could want. Not far from downtown Salem either.
Nice clean RV parkPaved spaces and close to I-5.
Beware of John the on site manager.Have kids? Have a dog? Have a pulse? Then your NOT welcome!!they claim its the place to have fun, but after 3 days John made it clear it wasnt. We have 3 kids, 12, 10, and 3. Our neighbors had a 10 year old, the family on the other side, a 12 & 9 year old.Kids were riding bikes. Nope, John said they are going to get hit by a car! The kids never rode over to the perminate residence loops, the speed limit in the park is 5. If a kid gets hit, someone is driving too fast.playground? Nope, John came out several times shaking his head and staring at the kids making them uncomfortable. Witnessed by all 3 families.2 preteens girls, and a 17 year old in the spa alone? nope John came out several times to look in on them, then yelled that they shouldnt mow down the old ladies. ???All 3 families had been keeping an eye on the kids, none where out of control, nothing got damaged. As far as the club house, The massage chair wasnt up to handling two 50 lb girls using it, John stated it was $7500 they are going to break it!Wii, Xbox, nope John wouldnt turn them on for the kids or me, Im 40, (guess Im not old enough yet)To watch TV in the clubhouse, yep gotta see John for the remote. No Continental breakfast either as stated on the website.John made it perfectly clear, its a 55+ park. The place to have fun if you do not make noise!I asked for video proof of the kids being out of control, the young lady behind the counter just looked at me and froze.I would leave zero stars if I could.
So clean, very friendly
I have spent time at this r.v. park and compared to the other parks in Salem this one by far is the best overall. The park is clean the and the management is really helpful .
