It was appealing until it isnt anymore. Enjoyed it more as a non member.Personal experiences have been quite simply awful as a new member of the club. Ive talked to some members about some of the issues and it appears that it isnt across the board so the is that as well. Perhaps long term members are keen and happy. Newer ones arent so much.Driving range is closed/not in full service or some excuse every now and then.Calls never returned (selective issues only)Friendly peripheral staffs. Everyone tiptoes around one person in management.

Greens were in great shape, somewhat technical course. Well manicured. Liked the GPS on the carts but the only drawback was the advertisements on the screen.

Course was nice, I talked with a gentlemen on the phone who had said nothing about a league when I scheduled the tee time. We drove an hour to the course and were stuck behind a league that we were unaware of until showing up. We only could finish 9 by dark and I tried calling the golf shop the following day to schedule to play the rest of the course. The gentlemen was rude and insisted that he told us things in the golf shop that were never specified or even said. We just wanted to make a trip back to finish the entire course like we planned on. But was given false information and now can’t finish the course unless paying again to do so.

We stopped here on our way home from up north. Was always on my list to play, as I left the Saginaw area before it was built.This is a tough course, but conditions were nice. Few blotchy spots in Fairways- greens ran nice.There are some target golf holes on the back that are really tight and force you to layup. On one par 5 I hit 6I PW GW. No fun. On another hole my wife had to lay up about 90 yards and then there is a forced carry of junk of 125yds for next shot.Keep your woods in the bag on this track and hit em straight

Work on the course is coming along nicely, kudos on the new carts ! We played last week and had a bite to eat afterwards...the food was all good. We played again today, and tried to eat afterwards. The waitress told us we couldnt come in without a mask on, I suggested Id have a hard time eating with a mask on, she said we needed to wear one to walk to our table...this despite the previous week when we were there when no masks were required, and neither the waitresses or cooks were wearing masks.

First time there with a couple I care for. It was Friday the 13th. We all had a great dinner and the place plus the people there were so nice. Anonymous person paid our bill. We left full and blessed. Thank you Anonymous!

Food was good, service was really the standout though. Excellent, attentive staff. Will be going more often for sure. Quite a nice experience.

Went for the Friday fish fry. Delicious shrimp appetizer, clam chowder, cod and whitefish. Staff and chef attentive and gracious...also had live entertainment..we will be back!

I am a member here and have been for about 8 years now I thought it about time to get on here and give the golf course I love so much some well deserved praise. They have kept the course is amazing condition this year (2019) I love playing here and I always will.

I actually went with my brother. It is a beautiful course. It has places where you can practice your putts, chipping. It also has a restaurant with outside seating. I know only, what my brother has shared with me. But he sure seemed to like the course. He is also going to play tomorrow with a group of his buddies. I will see what he says further about it.

Nice golf course. Ive been here quite a few times for work outings and the course is generally in decent shape but this year it hasnt been great, especially for what is marketed as a high end course. Ive never paid for a game here so I cant really say if its worth the money.

Even though we have played here before, arrived to find the range closed due to amount of spring rain. Course played well despite some dampness in some areas of the course. Looking forward to playing again next year.

Everyone in the pro shop and club house are very nice. The golf is challenging and depending on the pin placement, wow! It will leave you wondering how did I ever miss this beautifully placed course. It might hurt your golf ego, but you will want to play it again and again! Keep up the good work!

Amazing course with great service staff!!

Coarse is in pretty good shape, tougher that Id like it to be. Our banquet there for our credit union was served on paper plates with second rate plastic serving wear.

Fairly easy golf course. I can only attest to the back nine of the course but it is maintained well and rates are pretty affordable. Will definitely be stopping by again to play the front.

Giving this one star because the course is beautiful,but the customer service is mom existent. I play this course with my dad at least twice a month, it usually plays slow but not a 6 hour round. Had a 1130 tee time and got there early and was told we had to wait behind a group of 18 people going off and could go in front, which would be the common sense courteous thing to do but no got stuck behind these people who wouldnt let us pass. Needless to say we quit after 9 holes and 3 hohurs later. And then went inside to complain and told me I should start earlier next time. Thank you for showing your customers great service. Your better off playing apple mountain or the fortress .

I have a 9 HC..With this golf course, you have to utilize your course management skills to enjoy: placing every shot is a must to receive a Boggy golf score, at the end of 18 holes, playing from the white Tees. The course is very playable for any golfer. Its scenic and well maintained. Looking forward to playing it again. Had a great time.

Searching for Mid-Michigans Premier Golf came across this one in Saginaw, MI. Saginaw in East-Michigans not Mid-Michigan. False advertising on Google.

Sawmill is a great place to come and visit play golf. We just need to make sure that people are able to see the place is open to the public from the highway so please stop in and see us and we do have great food and wonderful bar so stop in and see us
