What a great place! We just visited yesterday and had Jessie helped me tremendously with making sure I find the perfect handgun that works for my grip! I highly recommend them.

Seriously one of the best experiences I’ve had at a gun shop in a while. Ivan has the best customer service. I had so many questions about an Ar-15 build, he literally recommended me everything I needed and then sum. He never once made me feel Like he was just trying to up sell me. He seriously cared to give me the best products, even the ones he was buying for his Ar’s. Definitely coming back! Keep up the good work guys.

Horrible service.. came in on a Tuesday grabbed a ticket, waited 4 hrs and they would not let me purchase my lower, put my name on the box said come back tomorrow and well take care of you. Next day I come back and grab a ticket waited 3.5 hrs only to tell me they wont let me in.. total of 7.5 hrs and was not allowed to make a purchase. Giving them 1 star is generous. If I could give them negative stars I would.

Really liked the experiance.

Facility has potential, I cant say the same for the faculty. I availed of their rifle range to sight in some iron sights on a couple rifles. I laid my rifle bag in the bay and I placed both my rifles on the platform. The RSO snapped saying I could only have one rifle out at a time. It would be nice if they had the rule posted somewhere or they included it in their little safety video. After I got situated I began to fire and make adjustments to my sights. The entire time the RSO was pushing the brass through my stall and hitting the back of my feet with the brass and broom. I want to point out there were many empty bays for him to push brass through. This is unprofessional and unfortunate given how nice the facility is.

Absolutely outstanding place! I organized a trip to SGC as part of our friends bachelor party. Ron Givens and the staff here were great, especially with our large group. Everyone was knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful throughout our time there. The cost for our group was excellent and the organization for the event went very smoothly . Big thanks to our range safety officer, Gerardo. You guys rock!

For all those that enjoy the sport of shooting this is your place of bliss. This club has memberships for those that have falling hard for the sport. There are differing levels of membership based upon your financial ability for individual o and groups. Once in the club you will have access to instruction as well as discounted prices on rifles and hand guns. The staff is friendly and helpful with purchase suggestions and safety. Every time my family and I walk in we are greeted with smiles. If your looking for a place to shoot your hand guns or rifles check them out. You can even rent different guns to get some experience with which weapon you like before you make your next purchase. Check them out and let’em know I recommended them.

Ive been to a few ranges in the area but none are as nice as this one. Everyone is super friendly and professional. I was having an issue with FTE and because they have a gunsmith on site I was able to get help with it immediately. Keep up the good work guys.

Great range, 8 months out of the year.I’ve been a member since before they opened. And since the first year, it has been insufferably hot and humid, I mean like Louisiana in August hot and humid, from June through September. I planned on trying out a couple new handguns today, but within 15 minutes my glasses were fogged and there was sweat dripping down my back. Their website specifically states “Enjoy 34 state-of-the-art, indoor climate controlled shooting lanes”. Yeah, this is a flat out lie. ONLY the VIP lanes have AC. The rest have swamp coolers that do nothing but increase the humidity. I’ve been told for 5 years that they are going to fix this problem, but today I spoke with an assistant manager who basically told me if I didn’t like it, tough. (This was not surprising since their customer service has been going downhill for the past couple years. The original crew they had when they opened were all awesome, but unfortunately only a few of the good ones remain). I think I am going to just freeze my membership every summer. No point paying for something I can’t use.

Called on a friday, no one answered. Went there and the place wasnt opened.

Seeing a trend here.Gonna give you a second star for all the friendly people and cleanliness there....their gunsmith on the other hand, from what I see in the reviews and personal account, is friendly but SLOW.It’s been 3 weeks and no call NOTHING. I had to go in and ask about it (Of course my luck LUNCH; whatever, I’m at a GUN SHOP!!). I was told by the gunsmith it’s broken down and just needed a quick fix and they would call.A week later, NOTHING YET! Maybe corporate needs to get involved.Be Safe and always maintain muzzle awareness.UPDATE:So my gun was fixed (guy was VERY friendly)and I saw a sign he wasn’t taking on anymore work until he catches up (Awesome call) ... To their defense I understand! Up another star for that!

First time visitor and the first thing noticed was the staff were super professional and nice. The place is clean and in order. Never knew the place existed. Great indoor shooting range and gun sales. You dont need a membership. Who ever owns the place, good job, Ill definitely be back!

Gunsmith failed miserably. My firearm was there for 2+ months, and would have stayed there, in a box, if I didnt call. Today, I called to see what the status was and got Ill have to confirm with the manufacturer, let me get back to you in 30 minutes. I called BS and called the manufacturer myself. Manufacturer says: after checking my department and our regional system, your gun isnt in our records for work or repair. So I call the gunsmith back and he still says he has to call the manufacturer. Guess what I had just called and they said no work orders had been made. So the gunsmith checks shipping to find it. I pick up my firearm 20 minutes later to find the box wasnt even taped or had any semblance of being prepared for shipping!!! No service was done, I was completely forgotten about, and I had to call in otherwise my firearm would have sat there. What should have been a simple manufacturer warranty job turned out to be a complete failure.

I’ve used the range once and that was great, but I was very dissatisfied to find out they only have a 7 day return policy. I bought a cleaning kit for my shotgun, and never opened it. I found my old cleaning kit, so I wanted to return the unopened one. I called to ask about returning unused items and was told that I couldn’t return it since it was over 7 days. So now I have two cleaning kits for my single shotgun.

This place is dishonest! please read the note: I’m writing this for a neighbor and friend and who took his daughter to the gun club to shoot his old war pistol. All was good and their where having fun till he was told to the trigger needed adjusted and leave the gun here for repair (No paper work needed). After days of calling to see the status of the gun, he was told the gun was missing! After filing a police report they went to the club to inquire about the incident and told the police the gun was never left with them. His daughter was with him when he left it. (eye witness) We are still in the process of working with the police to get his gun back. This 86 year man is a Korean veteran and received the gun from the war. I was told this place was very reputable and family friendly. NOT True!! Please pass this note on to any one that was looking for a place to shoot, if the place is willing to steal a gun, they don’t serve any business!

These guys are awesome. My wife and I recently decided to buy handguns for both home defense and sport but we were unsure of the process. Noel made the process very comfortable and we both took our handgun test. He answered all of our questions clearly and we left with lamented cards ready to check out the stock online. Looks nice and welcoming but it is like a trip to 1984. Ive been using firearms for 25 yrs spent 6 in the army. I dont need big brother staring at me as I fire each round like Im doing something wrong by being at their range. I left before I finished 50 rounds. I just felt unwelcome and uncomfortable.

Very clean and neat. Great selection of weapons and accessories. However, no discount for military veterans, target track isnt digital, and no drawing from the holster (even if you have your CCW) unless you pay for an overpriced monthly membership and pass a range drawing course. Ridiculous!

Just made my first purchase (a handgun) here and was very impressed. Great customer service, very knowledgeable and friendly staff, and they went above and beyond for me. Had the best price on the gun I purchased as well. I will be back.

Excellent range, plenty of RSOs to help if/when needed, large establishment, staff seems passionate, pretty much all I need at a range is at SGC.

I went there today because I had a great experience there the first time....today was totally different. I was given a lane, I am handicapped and use a cane to get around. I hadnt been there 2 minutes when the RSO instructed me to move my bag with my gun and ammo to the back table...I hadnt even unpacked my firearm yet, then another RSO told me to shoot 1 round per second and I havent even loaded my weapon yet. Then, I was told before I had a chance to move everything to the back table, no beverages were allowed at the firing line. While trying to balance another RSO was sweeping behind me. The Final straw was when I was told to move to another lane further away. I just left, this place is nice to you on the outside of the range but if your handicapped they make you feel like a 2nd class person. I carried a sidearm for more than 20 years and am a Expert Marksman with many different firearms.I wont be back...I suggest that if youre reading this you should stay away from this place too.

Thank you Sacramento Gun Club for being so friendly, professional and encouraging during my first trip to this facility!I had a great experience on my first visit here. All the staff were so friendly and helpful. The facility is amazing and so clean!I went mid-day on a Friday on a gloomy day. Not too busy and I didnt have to wait too long for a lane. Once on a lane I never felt rushed nor did I have any issues. Definitely a safe and encouraging environment.I was pleased to know they do offer lanes for shotguns and rifles! (slugs only for shotguns and no greentips/metal piercing, tracer, incidiary nor blackpowder allowed for rifles )Hope to be back soon for more range time!

I have visited the club on more than a dozen occupations. Those visitations ranged from an initial introduction and tour of the facility by the manager, to facilitating a family firearm transfer and use of the firing ranges. On all visits, the experience was without flaw. The staff, to a man and women, are friendly, courteous, helpful and professional.If you want a safe, comfortable and highly professional shooting experience look no further. (One other point of note… they seem to be the only place within the greater Sacramento area where you can actually walk in and purchase .22 ammo!)

Rifle range maxed out at 50m. Pistol range is more than adequate at around 20m. Internal gun store has a nice selection. Range masters are extremely helpful, reminded me of proper shooting techniques after not shooting for 18 years. 100 rounds later Im back to my previous level of ability or better.

Called them up and asked for standard capacity Springfield XD mags now that the ban has been struck down. Their first question, “Are you law enforcement?” What?! This is after they gave me a hard time when trying to purchase a handgun because my address was outdated on my DL even though I brought in my vehicle registration and change of address form (used by DMV to verify your new address). I left and purchased the handgun elsewhere that same day! This store doesn’t support the 2nd amendment or law abiding citizens who want to defend themselves and their prices are sky high probably because they are still trying to pay for that fancy facility of theirs. If you are law enforcement or active military with $ you will likely love this place.

When we first dropped in to check it out, we were amazed at the clubs over all size. It was clean, the employees were very friendly and knowledge. Friend brought completed 80% rifle in for DOJ issued S/N engraving 6 weeks ago. Given 2 week time frame for turn around. Got the run around from them for the past 4 weeks. Finally got back to him yesterday. They can’t find his rifle or the paperwork for what the S/N is supposed to be. Completely unprofessional.

We had a lots of fun there, instructor Adam took very good care of us, gave several tips and suggestions on how to handle gun and etc.

Expensive! Thats the only reason I didnt give it 5 stars. The people are friendly and the facility is really nice. They even have a rifle range they said can handle anything up to a 50 Cal. It is only 50 years tho. I think it would be a great place for a first time shooter to learn how to shoot.

Friendly staff, easy check in process for range time, good selection in the store. Always call ahead to make sure theres an available lane, even though it is possible someone may show up in between the time you call and when you arrive. Range officers are friendly and sweep brass often, and will ask if you want to keep your brass. It gets stuffy sometimes in the handgun range but nothing too bad. Rifle range is really loud and theyll warn you of that. Overall solid place, I personally dont think membership is worth it if I go once a month just to shoot for an hour.

I LOVE this Gun Range!! If you are once a week or once a month shooter this place has monthly memberships fee. That fee is as cheap as ONE VISIT to any of the local Gun Ranges I had been to. That fee lets you shoot everyday that month if you want. No I dont work here I really do have a membership. I am just VERY HAPPY with this Gun Range for offering me the ability to get in more practice with my weapons so I will become more confident and most important more accurate with my weapons. WITHOUT PAYING $17 to $19 cost for a Gun Range you pay every time you want to shoot.

Im just really glad that this place opened up. I think it really goes to teach the school next door a lesson, protests do absolutely nothing.(I attended that school and know how left they are) Im sure theyre all terrified of the place, but I love it.Update:Finally got around to going here and could not be happier with the experience, the staff were extremely friendly, professional, and relaxed. The facility was absolutely spotless and the prices are very reasonable. This is the first and only range I have ever been to that Ive enjoyed. The range master was great, and FRIENDLY believe it or not. I would 100% recommend this place to anyone!

This place sucks. Very unwelcoming and constantly standing over your shoulder with their wannabe police officers. Only plus is they are clean.

I just joined the SGC after looking for some place close to my home in Folsom. I was impressed by the facilities, it is only a couple of years old, and is very well maintained. The staff is also very friendly and helpful, and seem willing to answer questions without any condescension. I would recommend this place.

Nice facility, but if you say that you have a gun smith, I expect them to do the work within a given time. After turning in my slide for new sights (something that should be done by an expect fairly quickly), it still isnt done after 2 weeks. Worse is that it is off site so I cant even get it done somewhere else now.

This range is really nice and keep clean. Staff is friendly. Im just not a fan of the $17hr for the range unless youre a member. When other ranges are no time limit. Also after an hour of waiting for a lane and having two members come in after me and taking the next available lane after they waited five minutes. I dont believe thats good customer service. Maybe one member and then a non-member would be a better practice. If youre willing to pay the membership good for you. I believe that you shouldnt have to pay to get treated fairly.

I am fairly new to shooting, but the Sacramento Gun Club seems very nice. Newly opened, indoor pistol and rifle range with individual movable targets so you dont have to wait for others or periodic cease fires. I love the membership options - Ive been more in the month Ive had the membership than in the two years Ive owned my pistol. Range safety officers are helpful and willing to provide tips. They have classes, but I havent had a chance to take one yet. Membership also gives you discounts at the store.

Its great when you go into a specialty store, get treated special you find yourself being taken care of, where as other tend to leave you to the abyss of the uninformed.

There is no other class with instructors like they have here......You will understand all that applys.You will be shooting groups that you never thought you could.....youll know where the danger zone is so you can lawfully eliminate the threat in front of you. I have been a member since they opened last fall and I could not be happier. This range is immaculate, safe and has a great group of knowledgable and friendly staff. This is my favorite indoor shooting range. Its clean, its new, the AC works, staff is friendly, whats not to like. If you shoot often consider a membership as it may save you money.

Took the Womens Basic Gun class w/ Kendall, as well as a few followup instruction. Both my friend and I grew more confident with the extra instruction and appreciated Kendalls patient repetition of safety and gun procedures. The accessibility of the range and friendly environment added to the competency of the whole experience.

You should say on your website what time you stop accepting shooters instead of what time you close. I drove 30 minutes to have a smug kid tell me you stopped accepting shooters at 3:45 (got here at 4pm) when you actually dont close until 5pm. Thanks for wasting my time and for the piss poor customer service.

Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. Took time (Jesse) showing us how to properly hold a firearm. And suggested guns to rent before purchasing. Laterms when we returned to purchase, again they were very helpful.

I toured the facility the first week it was open and now I just became a member! The range is clean, staff is knowledgeable, friendly and will hold you to the rules and if you dont want to, theyll make you leave. They employ many professionals with years of experience in law enforcement and tactical training who seem to enjoy the job and have answered my questions as silly they have been. Ive had a few who were watching me shoot and offered a couple pointers and my accuracy has improved. By far its the best facility Ive been to. Its also a bit on the pricy side so keep that in mind. Ive been here over a dozen times and my longest wait was watching their training video you have to the first time.

This facility was well-kept well run by professional and friendly employees. Also the best wheelchair friendly shooting range I have been too.

The owner is all about selling you 20 percent markup on all firearms including cheap unreliable firearms. The companies and firearms include Cobra 38 special revolvers bought from criminals, Jennings .22 pocket pistols from evidence lockers, the worst selection of budget ar parts scavenged from seasonal sales, Century AKs and no appreciation for milsurps or anything other than AR-15s and glocks.The company motto is behind enemy lines and that could not be anymore true as they are enemies to consumers doing their own research and buying quality products.

Nicest indoor shooting range Ive ever been to! Clean, modern, spacious - lots of lanes with good rangemasters. A fine place to shop for firearms, ammo & accessories. This place is pretty great, its been open roughly 2 years and still has its new care smell the staff is very friendly, especially since they dont work on commission they arent trying to force you to buy anything. I came in with my wife to shoot my 1911 .45 for the first time and did pretty well. So I decided to look around for a handgun she might like and were helped instantly! The staff member brought out a couple guns to show my wife the weights and grip styles till we found one that fit her. This is not a pay/shoot/leave range its more of a relaxing atmosphere where you can converse, shop, get educated on weapons, lounge in the shade or watch tv about guns!They also hold classes for first time shooters!What I would like from them if its possible; to have a class on protecting your family from a home invasion situation.

This range is a clean, friendly, and safe range to shoot at.I recently took my CCW class there, my experience was much better than the first CCW class I took. The Instructor, Kendall was well informed and kept the class interesting, more important there was a practice period before your range qualification that help break your nerves, as well as he gave each of us helpful hinst for our own gun to help us with the qualification.

I first heard about this new gun store from my brother, he told me I had to check it out for myself. Since I live only about 3/4 of a mile from them I decided to stop by and see what they have to offer and I must admit I was presently surprised. Its extremely spacious but at the same time the space is utilized in a manner where they are able to get a lot of inventory on the floor and not clutter up the entire establishment. They also have a couple great indoor ranges, one is 50m for those with rifles (btw you can fire handguns on the rifle range but you cant shoot rifles on the pistol range) and a 25m pistol range. They have an excellent selection of firearms, accessories, parts, bulk ammo, factory reloads (which Ive been shooting for several months now with no issue from any of my guns, I have 230gr 45acp, 180gr and the 165gr (which is my personal preference) 40s&w,130gr and 115gr 9mm, 130gr 38 SPC, 55gr 5.56 & .223 as well as 62gr 5.56. The staff is courteous and fairly knowledgeable, if they dont know the answer they will find out for you. I used to only go to one store that is also close to me and I still have friends there and I do still make purchases there but not like I used to. Sac Gun Club is one of the best indoor range and firearms dealer in the Norhtern CA area. they have an excellent selection of handguns (semiauto and revolvers), bolt action rifle, lever action, semiauto rifles, plus accessories like optics or new furniture for your firearm/s. Now that Ive given them praise and explained how great this place is, now comes the downside. First and foremost the range fees are the highest Ive ever seen at $17hr, which is why we opted for a family silver membership. Were able to go to the range without having to pay any range fees, which can pay for itself in just a couple visits.
