An amazing little piece of history on a small, what used to be, schoolground. The story of the Virgins visit, and the miracles performed, was enthralling. There is a sense of utter calm throughout every portion of the area once you pass through the main gates. The location is not showy but instead very humble. There is of course the small shop with prerequisite candles and other handmade items but the prices were very reasonable. Pay attention to the walkway lights as you walk in. They are set up like a Rosary. I wish they had an elevated platform where you could look down on it because I am sure it would be even more interesting if seen from above. Worth a visit and a few hours of walking around. For those who pray and meditate it is an excellent venue for that as well. Note that it survived hurricane Maria in 2017, as well as the effects of Irma passing by closely, with almost no damage. If I remember correctly the only damage was that 2 trees fell and that was all. That in and of itself was a small miracle.

The place is definitely peaceful and serene. The nuns were attentive but respectful of your privacy and eager to teach about the sanctuary and of the miracles experienced by many.I attended the gathering on Sunday August 25th and was very disappointed with the planning of the event.When planning events such as this, where over 50% of the people attending are well into their 70s and 80s, the staff should have taken into consideration the time of day in which to hold it. The event started at 12noon, the hottest time of the day and with the sun directly over the crowd. This is how heatstroke begins especially, in the elderly population. Starting at 8am or 4pm would have been a better, safer and more comfortable time to enjoy the event. We had to leave shortly after it began due to the unbearable heat. In my opinion it showed a lack of consideration for the many people who traveled many miles to attend and/or it was just poor planning. Perhaps in the future, if the events have a time constraint and cannot start till noon, the staff can provide canopies or tarps for much needed shade.

On vacation back home. We visited virgen del pozo. Place so serene and quiet. We sat in a peaceful place letting go of all the negative. We will be back.

So peaceful and the volunteers that work there are sweet and kind. Very well taken care of the property, the store is small but quaint

The quietest place in Puerto Rico but also the most religious. Very simple place and could take 20-30 minutes to see everything.
