This is an old but lovely, recently-renovated theater. Ive been here 5 times for various concerts and theres not a bad seat in the place. However, the balcony seats are pretty tight leg-room wise. Im 56 and my knees were almost touching the seat in front of me. Best seats (room-wise) are in the orchestra, to the left or right of the main aisles that define the middle orchestra seats. The acoustics are good, parking is ample and somewhat easy and Ive always had excellent service from the ushers. Theres a decent selection of eateries around the theater also, so we generally get there early and walk a few blocks to a restaurant. If you havent been yet, try it out! Have fun
What a lovely old theater! Beautifully restored with an exceptional lineup during their entire season. My only advice is get seats on the main floor if youre tall. They have the original seats in the balcony, fully restored. Theyre beautiful, but a little tight for long legged folks.
Love! Love! Love! Classic older venue with great seating. Worth the trip from far away, if necessary. And considering its relatively small size, they get some really big names!
Wonderful theater. I was in the balcony and could still see everything kn stage. The seats were a little close, wouldnt be nice for a very tall person but it was amazing in every other aspect
Stomp was an excellent show. Very entertaining. We had a great time.
Never been there before, great venue and great concert. Definitely will go there again.
Intimate venue with great acoustics and a diverse lineup of performances. Ive seen countless good shows here!
Beautiful historic theatre with a great variety of shows. In the heart of downtown near restaurants and bars and the wine bar
Great theatre to see a concert. Wonderful acoustics. Staff are all very pleasant & extremely helpful.
Beautiful restored venue with a small bar close to restaurants downtown Rutland.
Awesome atmosphere, great acoustics, Ive been to many theatres and this one is a stand out! I highly recommend!
Beautiful theater with nice renovations. Seats and leg room a little on the tight side.
What a great venue.... we had a great time
Beautifully restored theatre that is fun to go to just for the venue itself.
Opening night of Mama Mia from the community theater, they all did a superb job and out on a phenomenal show, highly recommend paying a visit
This theater is beautiful and hosts amazing headliners. The only thing keeping it from 5 stars for me is the seats. They are old style and VERY narrow. My husband and the gentleman next to me both have broad shoulders and I literally spent the show with my body shifted to the side and my arms held in. We had front row seats and I didnt feel like I enjoyed them because we were so crammed in.
Great acoustics, great lights and literally not a bad seat in the house! Two thumbs up!
Great old theatre refurbished and restored. Many wonderful performances each year. Only drawback is severely undersized bathrooms.
Small venue but great seats! Sound quality was very good forbthe show we saw. Will definitely keep a watch on future shows and return!
Comfortable seats and satisfactorily clean establishment. Quality screens and sound for a theater.
Wonderful staff. A great place.
Scott Stapp....best concert I have been too...anyone who didnt go missed out...
Show was excellent, not a bad place to sit in the house. The only reason 4 stars instead of 5 is because as an older theater the seats are a bit cramped. Seats were very tight, which was not only uncomfortable near the end of the show but made it extra difficult as others made trips to the in house bar. I will return, but only if I can choose my seats a bit differently.
Watched VSO pops great experience
Saw Bob saget. Seats were comfortable. They had one of the bars open. That line was very long. Staff was helpful in finding seats.
Excellent venue for a concert. Attended an Eagles tribute band. Very nice. Was there for a Fleetwoid Mac tribute a while ago. Great sound. Nice seating. Easy parking. What morecoyld you ask for?
Just saw Menapause The Musical.... It was fantastic! True to life but funny! Great cast!!!
What a gorgeous restored venue in our small town. Good variety of shows on a regular basis. ️
Nice old style theater. Gilt trim, balcony level. Community minded. No food or drinks served there.
Excellent service, seating is very tight. Great for us petite peeps, but anyone tall knees will be resting on seats in front of you
Amazing theater. I love every event put on here, from free movie nights to election results viewing parties to talks from New York Times writers to concerts and plays. Went to see a performance of A Christmas Carol in the Brick Box and that was also spectacular! 100000 stars.
Great shows and better people
Great venue to see a show!! Very intimate AND you can bring beverages to your seat!!
Its a somewhat small theater but the best part is youll be able to enjoy the show no matter what seat you get
The Paramount Theatre offers numerous high quality and engaging performances. The theatre has amazing acoustics, friendly and welcoming staff and delicious Vermont craft beer and hard cider. We live an hour away and we gladly make the drive; its totally worth it! An evening to a Paramount performance is certainly a special and memorable night out. Enjoy!
It is a nice venue and great concert. Beverage prices were reasonable although ticket price was a little high for an hour and a half of music.
Beautiful theater, great shows
They offer a wide variety of live entertainment
Always good shows and great prices for whatever type of seat you would like from box seats to the nosebleeds
Great place to see a show
Broadway Show: The Illusionists did not disappoint, Wow!! Dont miss this show when it (hopefully) returns to our beautiful Paramount
Theater is great but $45 for a 45 minute show seemed a little expensive!
Wonderful atmosphere in this 1913 era refurbished theater. Excellent acoustics and comfortable seating on the main floor. Great venue!
The performances here never disappoint! They do a lot for the community! I love this place. And did you know the gentleman who built the Paramount also built the Chaffee Art Gallery?
Saw Polar Express, love how they got into rollAlll dressed up saying all aboardCant wait to see show hear next year with hubbyLove the feel hear
Excellent venue. The staff is so friendly.
Great show, Fab Four

Nice old theater in a revitalized part of town. Good experience.
Great place friendly ppl
Great venue. An asset to the community!
Great place to see a show. Small, intimate, and beautiful!
Getting ready for tonights Real Rutland Feud 7 PM showdown vs Phoenix Books. Paramount is a great community asset.
Michael McDonald concert, and it was GREAT. Sound quality better than expected.
Saw George Thorogood last night. Great show! The staff at the Paramount were very friendly and helpful. Perfect venue! Easy access and lots of good eateries within walking distance.
Grand old pile lovingly restored with great acoustics and an intimate feel.
What an awsome show tonite
If you are taller than average you might want to pass on this venue. I’m 6-2 and spent 2 very uncomfortable hours in a balcony seat last night. It felt like a parent teacher conference when my kid was in 1st grade. My wife is 5-5 and even she struggled to get comfortable. Won’t be returning unless they can offer alternative seating for normal sized humans.
Menopause The Musical was hilarious!! Loved it!
Fabulous concert with Michael McDonald - really no bad seats in a nice small venue.
Scotty Mcreery was awesome.
What a fun place, enthusiastic great crowd, nice places to eat nearby. I love how safe the streets feel. I have been mugged to many times in CT.
How can you top a beautiful venue, wonderful volunteers and great music from Colin Hay? It was great. Easy parking too.
The Acoustics are amazing such a beautifully restored local Playhouse.
Great show.
Absolutely beautiful. Great shows
Oak Ridge Boys were great
Great show in a old school feel.
Not a bad seat in the house! Intimate and in a wonderful state of good repair. I have lived in VT for many years and regret only now finding the Paramount...it is a gem.
Watched BOC in concert the box seats were great
Great entertainment!!
Bed bugs ! beware. I went to the theater The show was not very good. I came home and discovered that I had bed bugs from the theater!!! How gross. Will never go back to that run down theater.
Been twice. Had a wonderful time. Good programming
Great for watching the World Cup games in HD on a huge screen.
Amazing show tonight! Staff was helpful and friendly! Proud to be a part of the Rutland community!
Great, historical venue for all types of events, from music to theater to town hall lyceum-style gatherings. The venue is programmed by thoughtful, well-connected individuals who bring great performances to an off-the-beaten-track Vermont town.
Brought the kids to see a very entertaining live show. We had a great time for a good price in the most beautiful building.
A glorious place to sing!
Its beautiful
Good sound and sightlines. Intimate space.
Love Paramount. But if long in leg, and busting at sides, do not take balcony seats
Love their staff and shows
Great place to see a show!!
