As others have said, Rob and Anya do amazing work, and if you spend much time around them you will feel like they are friends. Given a few days or so lead time (and pending availability of the type and size of wood needed), they are happy to custom make most things—Anya even worked with us to make us a welcoming sign in Vietnamese! We almost bought one of the very small ~$20 bears you’ll see for sale around Ruidoso, but learned those are *not* made here. So glad we found Grizzly’s first! (They also have an indoor showroom for smaller art pieces by a variety of local artists that will have new, different pieces nearly anytime you stop by.) Start dreaming up your sign now, and don’t miss these true local artists!!

We bought a wooden bear (paid almost $160) from this store in June, 2018. Within 3 weeks the bear started having multiple cracks (some of them were almost 1 inch wide). We contacted Rob Adams (owner of the shop). Rob was very reluctant and rude from the very beginning of the conversation when we requested him to take care of the bear. I even sent him pictures of the bear with the cracks showing how bad it looks with the cracks. He still said he could only try to fix them but would not replace the bear while it was their fault in making such items that would crack and break so fast. Finally, my sister took the bear to Rob and he did a horrible job in fixing the bear. He did not even bother to patch some cosmetic defects that he caused while repairing. My sister brought those fragments with her (in a bag) and now we would need to patch the bear by ourselves while it was Robs job. He was very rude to my sister. I would never recommend Grizzlys Bears to anybody who would like to buy durable bears and professional post-sale customer support. The owner Rob Adams seemed racist, and very rude to us. I just wasted my money, time on this bear I bought. Try other wooden bear stores in Ruidoso if you want quality and professionalism.

Hands down.they are awsome.stoped by to just look and ended up leaving with 3 carvings from them.they are so cool him and his wife.gotta say, felt like we made new friends here.they didnt treat us different like the rest of town,being we are X gangsters.we felt welcome .even after we bought.we stood to chat about life.if you guys want a pleasant experience,they are the place to visit.very down to earth.we plan on visiting again due to them..Mr.Grizzley.nothing but love from mando..c.a...s.d.and family
