Drove up from Miami (FL) and had a great time with our family. We have a little one and he was getting a kick out of the diving boards in the pool area. Everyone is respectful of each others space and personal property. Its only about an hour drive and the overall experience is a great time.PROS: Highly affordable. Not overbearingly strict with their policies. Makes for an easy-going, relaxing time. Staff is generally friendly. Just enough stuff to do that you can stay active and busy for 2-3 hours (if not more). Not so much to do that youre overwhelmed with options (OR PEOPLE).CON: Life guards (and some staff) consistently look like theyre having a bad day for the most part. I know working with the public can be frustrating, but smiling every now and then makes it worthwhile.
Great way and place to hit a water park with the entire family without breaking the bank. It gets even better if you go from 3pm as you get $3 off each person. We had my now 6YO 1st and 2nd birthday party here and it was a blast.Calypso Bay is fully staffed with lifeguards and rightfully and strategically placed so kids of all ages are being viewed. My son also did his swim lessons here last summer and it was great. If you want to have some fun in the sun with being on a beach or without breaking the bank then this is the place to be. It has slides and a olympic size pool
I came on a Friday from 10-2, the limited hours they have before it fully opens. The place is very cute and it is a nice area for toddlers. It’s nice that parents can bring their own food during the weekday since the food concession isn’t open. There are plenty of picnic tables and chairs to sit for families. I thought the park was going to be bigger but I still think it is big enough for smaller children. I recommend this place to take kids on a hot day.
Great place for family vacation summer water fun. Discounts for seniors and kiddos. Free parking, refreshment stand, lots of activities for all ages. Plenty of seating. Lots of attentive life guards. Lockers for a nominal fee. Mid week is less crowded than weekends.
This was my second time at Calypso Bay. the first time was amazing and the second time was pretty good as well. Until they closed at 5 o’clock on Saturday and gave us a notice to get out of the pool which is fine. Apparently, you also need a notice to get out of the shower by 5 o’clock. I was there with my two-year-old and three-year-old and we were getting shouted “2 minute warning” by these female employees in the locker room. For those that are moms..getting two toddlers showered and dressed is almost nearly impossible. We were having an awesome day, thanks to the staff..we left feeling very stressed
Very good service
Price was reasonable and my kids had a great time. It has a lazy river which was super relaxing and a few slides for my kids to enjoy. I would recommend it to someone who wants to have a good water park day without having to pay a fortune to do so.
Absolutely Love, Love, Love Calypso Bay Waterpark....its affordable, always a great time and its a place I can take all 3 of my kids who are all in different age stages in their lives. I have a kindergartner who loves the kiddie area, a middle schooler who enjoys the lazy river (as do I) and my highschooler loves the slides. Its not often that I can chose a place and all 3 of my kids and I are excited to go so I thank you Calypso Bay!
Super cute waterpark, perfect for families! Food is actually decently affordable at the concession stand! This park has a lap pool and a lazy river. Lots of umbrellas and shade!
We had a blast at the county waterpark. The best part is it wasnt over crowded as some of the other public pools and local water parks are. I have 14/10 year olds and they were satisfied for about a half day with activities then lunch at the concession stand. There was plenty to choose from with a great variety. There was also an ice cream hut that was fun. Everything was clean and I would definitely return again.
Staff was awesome interacted with us. They were friendly. The food is decent and not too overpriced. For sure ages 12 and below will love it. A great time!!!
This County owned water park is great for a small water park. There will be lots of camps at certain times of the day, but for the money spent even on a daily pass it is still worth the money. Bring a cooler and leave in the car. Concession stand adds up quickly on the tab.
Had a blast as a family. Went with wife and kid and its perfect. One big splash kiddy pool. Swimming pools and dive boards for adults and even a lazy River and little obstacle course!Very affordable, too and the snacks arent overpriced either like at other parks.
Take your kids. Great place to play, food is cheap and tastes like it. Play areas are nice.
Nice small water parkIt does do private rentals - and we rented them out for 2 hours - it was amazing,The lifeguards are nice, the office manager was very nice and it was very easy to arrange the reservation,I am very impressed
Calypso Bay is a lot of fun for the whole family! They have waterslides, an obstacle course, a kids area, a pool, and a Lazy River. Food is good and not as expensive as you would think, however, you cannot bring your own food in. Still, a nice place.
Great place for a kids party. Staff is busy but always polite and helpful. Pizza is eh, but overall it is a great time.
Very Nice Great Prices Clean Well Staffed and Very Safe to Place to Enjoy with Family, During Our visit we had a Lightening Strike Advisory Alarm Go Off And the Safe/Liefguards were Very Quick to Getting Everyone out of the Water to the Safety Awning, I say within the first 2-3mins Tops!!! I Aplod the Lifeguards for their Fast Quick Reaction to get Everyone to Safety within seconds to minutes and keep us there until they got the Clear to let everyone back in the water!!
Great time for the family! We were able to have fun in the kiddie area and enjoy things for adults! We held our 24th year family reunion here and everyone enjoyed their self. My 2 year old wasn’t able to wear floating devices on her arms due to Calypso Bay doesn’t allow them but they do offer life jackets toddler and bigger size. Great price for a lot of fun! We got there at 11 and left at 5.
IGreat park very affordable. It was very clean and the staff was awesome. Just a bit weird that in lazy river you have to stay in your tube.
A lovely alternative water park for those who are a bit far from the beach a great place to take the kids for a little fun in the sun
This is a cool place. Next time Ill do the afternoon pass. For the parks only so big 2 hr is plenty for the kids.
Went for the dog event at the water park and it was amazing! They were very thorough in checking for proper vaccinations and made sure the park was safe for the dogs. We had a great time and the staff was wonderful
Lots of life guards. Good, well priced, concession stand. A safe place for young swimmers to move from attraction to attraction without the need to helicopter over them. Older kids (teenagers) will get bored here.
Fun, affordable water park. My kids really enjoyed it. This last weekend they held a special event for dogs to close the season. All three of mine had a blast!
Alot of fun for the whole family. Small waterpark that has a lazy river, lap pool with diving boards, a splash pad for younger kids with smaller slides, and a large slide. There is a concession stand where you can get food, drinks and snacks which is a little pricey but convenient.
Great family place. They have swim lessons here
Great for little ones! Lots of life guards, it was clean, had lots of fun
Not what I expected, employees look miserable and not friendly.
We love it here. Its much more affordable for a larger family to enjoy water fun on a budget and more often. Splash play area is great and just a safe garded pool, lazy river, food.
Some rules...Weight restriction on a slide. No water shoes on slides. No t-shirts on slides. It was ok. Wish we had more time but the weather was not cooperating. Also food was ok but expensive, $9 combo meal chicken tenders (only four pieces!!!) Fries and drink.
We were able to ride one ride, but not only that, we had to wait forever because there was lightning in the area. If theres no lighting, lets have fun.
Its a small water park but a nice place to go with the kids on a hot day
Its such an awesome place to take kids for a great price. Its like a miniature Rapids Water Park! Daily AdmissionAdult (12 years & older) $10.60Senior (65+) & Military (with ID) $8.60Child (3-11 years of age) $8.60Toddler (1&2 years of age) $4.60Infant (under 1 year of age) FreeAfter 3 pm AdmissionAdult (12 years & older) $8.60Senior (65+) & Military (with ID) $6.60Child (3-11 years of age) $6.60Toddler (1&2 years of age) $4.60
Incredibly fun. I hadnt been there since middle school... way more fun when you can bring your own kids! Plenty to do, well guarded.
Its a pretty cool place. People are nice and very attentive. I love the lazy river. They also have nice canopies to keep you cool!
Great place to take the kids. Always very clean.
With plenty of loungers and chairs to sit and a shallow water park to play in - this place was fun! Lots of friendly young staff and lifeguards (who take their job VERY seriously), a concession stand with typical food (nothing healthy here) and a day filled with lots of sunshine - well - the place was great. You cannot bring your own food or drinks in to the facility, but there is a spark right next door if you want to picnic. But it is a walk. Bring a cooler with wheels. The kiddie area is shown, theres also a lazy river and a four-story slide for kids taller than 48.GO EARLY, BRING SUNSCREEN, and have a splashingly goid time!
Great water park! Wonderful staff. The bathrooms are so disgusting. I wouldnt use it till I had too. Definalty wear shoes the whole time. Our favorite as a group is the Lazy River. Love the stuff they have for the kids to do.
Awesome way to keep cool for your non swimmers! I love the lightning warning system makes you feel a little safer not having to worry if its time to get out yet.
Nice neighborhood waterpark. Best for smaller children.
They have a lazy river, two regular diving boards, 2 water slides, one with an open tube, one with a closed tube, and they have a lily pad walk thingy. They also have a kiddie area, food, ice cream treats, and its all in all great. The one bad thing was the water isnt always that clean, but I mean what do you expect at a Childrens Water Park. The lifeguards were great, and everyone in the family would have a great time here. Its great for kids, teens and adults. Defitdently go youll have fun!!
Great water park. Kiddie area, lazy river, water slides, pool with diving boards.
I really love the place. It is not huge but big enough to have a.great time. Sometimes whaterparks are too big to feel safe. However, the food is not good. They do not have enough options. I believe they should offer ice cream, can sodas, burgers, etc., especially when we are not allowed to bring food in, which I agree with the rule. I am planning to visit often. The price are also good---seniors pay less.
There is life guards everywhere which is a good thing. Every clean and fun place for the kids. My family love coming here.
Extremely disappointed in the disorganized cluster of a mess the doggie day at the park turned out to be. I agree with the post that the place is run by teenagers. Drove all the way there, only to find they werent letting any more large dogs in until after 12:00pm / noon. This was at 10am. I was told about this event by my vet & shame on my for not bringing my dogs complete file of paperwork with me, but apparently that rabies tag we purchase every year isnt adequate proof of rabies. Must have paperwork. So why do we purchase rabies tags? I just assume go to the beach. Waste of my morning....
Best waterpark 10/10 imo
Had fun with the kids enjoyable on a hot day
It was nice. They need new tubes for the lazy river
Lots of fun for my five year old and fourteen year old.
The place is run by teenagers. It rains with lightning and they make you leave a covered picnic area to get wet against a wall UNDER a tiny ledge of a metal roof. Oh but the roof has lightning rods the teenagers argue...really. The only safe place is indoors Calypso Bay not where these teenagers direct people. NO rain checks! $59 down the drain in less than an hour. They only have 4 things really for kids to do. Lazy river, toddler area, tall slide, and obstacle area with rope that horribly scrapes the kids hands. Also their prices on the website are not correct. It is more once you get there. My opinion skip this park.
Great place lots of life guards, very busy w summer camps but my kids had an amazing time. I recommend it
Inexpensive family fun! Hidden gem !
Went as a group call 2 weeks ahead of arrival date was given group one price over the phone and when we arrive at the window the price was more and the lady I spoke with over the phone came and stated that she didnt give me that price. Customer service is poor. The park is great
Had my sons birthday party here and the staff was great! Easiest party ever due to the help from the park. Everyone had a great time and this was easy for me to handle given Im 8 months pregnant ! Just get in early to avoid the crowds !
Great place to take your kids. Not huge but plenty for them to do and pretty inexpensive. They also have a ton of lifeguards around.
Park is directed more for kids . Only 2 water slides. Just 1 of which is for persons over 120LBs. Good for families with young children.
Every year we take the students from our summer program. It is a favorite!
It was a great day! We absolutely loved the park. I am only giving it 4 stars because the bathrooms were horrible. I mean really bad. I didnt even want to use the rest room. I just changed clothes (with my shoes on) and left. Everything else in the park was super clean and perfect.
Fun family water park for younger kids
Close too early. Should change the schedule when summer to close late.
Nice for youger kids 0-8yrs. Only two big slides. WAY OVERCROWDED POOL.no enforcement on swim lanes, people just talk and tread water in that area, so cant use the lanes. Week days during the summer is best time to go.
Its a fun little water park you dont stand in long lines and the price is good. I have been bringing my kids here as long as I can remember and always fun fun in the sun
Kids really enjoyed it. Very cozy. Family oriented.
It was fun and had lots of water, but to be honest I think it need alittle more big kid slides besides the yellow and blue one
Too crowded; too small. Did not care for it.
Love this place for the kids. Big fun without some of the hassle you deal with at bigger waterparks
My kids always have a great time at this water park . Very clean and inexpensive.
There is so much to do. They have water slides for the older kids. There is a splash area for the younger kids. They have diving boards and more. They food is good too.
We drove an hour and 15 mins to come here it is nice no different than north county pool in sebastian has the same slides I am no twig and i have been on it multiple times. But when i went to get on the slide here the life guard lady blew her whistle looked at me and pointed the sign. I feel that was rude and very disrespectful and i will not be coming back ever. Ill take my business some where else.
A good place you can even and joy self lots of life guard so kids will be okay
Fun place to spend a day, everything is there, water, shade, food, one can also bring their own picnic.
Great place to go with your kids and relax a little on the lazy river
Great outing for kids. I took my daughter for a 4 year old birthday party and she had a blast. She wanted to have her birthday party there.
Good small town water park no real thrill rides but good for family and kids
Nice place to take the family prices are decent . need a few more slides
Full of kids but its was nice
Tons of fun when its open, closes for the winter. Like a smaller and much less expensive Rapids Water Park
Great place to visit with kids
I luv this place.
It was lit I cant lie
Great place to be with friends & family in the heat
Great affordable place for the kids!
Great place for family and friends
Great place for kids... just $10 adults and $8 kids 3+... 2 and younger free
Amazing place you and your kids will love!!!
Calypso Bay Waterpark is a nice summer place to cool off in their swimming pool and diving area, large childrens splashpark, and lazy river. I love the swim lessons available for children too.
Went to cool off over the weekend. And was a bit disappointed with the lifeguard rules. No waves in the lazy river. You cant just swim or stroll along in the lazy river with out holding on to a raft and no splashing others. Whats the next rule... No fun? I mean is this not a waterpark? Pretty disappointed in the amount of fun allowed for young kids. Wont be going back.
We love the lazy river... Great place to enjoy family and friends. Would be awesome if they updated the facility!
My kids loved it. We had a great time. They had lifeguards. It was a safe and clean environment.
Fun park for the kids...2 issuses....YOU CANNOT BRING A COOLER IN.and the park prices are diffrent then what they post on there website. .
Just a perfect summer day not to crowded and very clean
Kids always love it. It starts great during week when not so crowded
