Google maps took me to a non park entrance so I submitted an edit. There are multiple ways in. Lots of pretty bridges and ledges where water comes over. Path around the pond. Saw some turtles and a deer as I was leaving. Beautiful flowers. Nice playground with 2 baby swings and 2 regular swings. Several slides and monkey bars.
The Villa Park is an really nice park. It has a wide variety of things for the family to do from walking around seeing nature to playing basketball or hockey. It also has an updated park swing set, slides and things to climb on. This park is good for school age kids or kids that are good at climbing or have alot of upper body strength. This park also has grassy area to play a good football game or to play catch! The people that were on this park where very friendly!
One of my favorite parks for watching wildlife.
Great little park, never too busy and usually quiet
Cool park nice trails.
Great walking trails with woods, water, and wild turkeys.
Plenty of fun things to do in this Park !
Best walking around
Wlking trails past holding ponds with ducks, geese, and other widlife. It also has a ballfield and a building for shelter.
Beautiful hidden walking area around lakes with soo much wildlife!
Clean park. Nice view of the Mississippi River and downtown Saint Paul. Nice stage area. Free parking.
Not a whole lot of trouble to get caught up in back there ;p
Has great facilities and is good for a walk, I often bring my dog. Theres plenty of garbage cans and benches along the way. Can smell strange sometimes because the water isnt the cleanest, but overall, its decent with plenty of wildlife of you look for it.
Quiet park with trails that connect out to other nearby parks which make it ideal for walking and jogging. There is a small playground near the center of the park. Surprisingly lots of wildlife for a small park; we regularly see deer and turkey while walking here, as well as the expected ducks or geese.
There are meeting facilities at all the Roseville city parks. We had a neighborhood meeting there last night.
Heres what you need to know:Parking: Off-streetAge range (playground): 5+Sidewalks: Well-paved and connects with a trailSeating: Limited benchesBathrooms: Inside warming housePicnic tables: 1Grills: NoneSports field: Open field to one side of playgroundThe park is easy to spot from the road, so we had no trouble finding it. We parked off the street, right by the sidewalk leading to the playground. I was pleasantly surprised to find that the equipment is in pretty good condition. The playground is laid with mulch.Theres a single playground thats probably best suited for kiddos ages 5 and older. Zoey (15 months) had a great time, but only on a small part of the playground.Titus (3) and Madi (4) also enjoyed the playground, but could only navigate about half of it with their skills at this point.Theres only one pair of side-by-side slides, one slide tunnel, and one climbing slide (not sure what this was, exactly, but Zoey loved it!). Most of the playground is climbing-heavy: monkey bars, climbing wall, and climbing mountains. There are also some raised stepping stones.A unique feature of Villa Park is the built-in drum sets. There are two large hand drums attached to the top of the playground and several smaller hand drums attached underneath the vaulted bridge. My kids enjoyed banging away on them.Behind the playground is a swing set with both baby and regular swings. To one side of the playground is a bench swing.Theres an open field right by the playground. Behind the swing set is a beautiful water reservoir with a trail that goes right between two bodies of water. The trail continues to a bridge and then disappears in either direction. There was a good deal of foot traffic on the trail while we were there (morning). While there are nice restrooms on site, they happen to be across the field and half-court. With young kids, theres no way wed make it there in time if they suddenly needed to go.Parents also be warned: As beautiful as the water reservoir is, its pretty close to the play area. If youve got fast kiddos who love to make a run for it, youll have to keep an extra close eye on them to make sure they dont go near the water. Theres no fencing between the trail and reservoir.
Nice park building for a birthday party.
Nice park. Good facilities. Hockey rink, trails, playground, basketball, nice building.
Peaceful place for your thoughts.
Beautiful quiet park with warming house in the winter.
Beautiful paved walking trails.
Parking in back of the B-Dale Club. Throw a little business thier way.
I dont want to share for fear others will discover this secluded park!
Always lots of wildlife, and the Rudbeckia in the summer is gorgeous.
Great facility for meetings or parties. Skating rink in the winter time!!
Weve watched the seasons change at this park. Train waters wash into the lake, turtles, wood ducks, and lots of birds, butterflies and dragonflies. :)
Green Infrastructure place.
This is one park of many in Roseville that provides nature trails for hiking and biking, playgrounds, and a bit of respit from a busy world.
