Skate cop owner decided one week not to let me in with my own skates which i had been bringing there for close to 20 years. I pleaded with him that i am the one bringing groups of 10 plus weekly to his facility. In the end he was totally fine with losing the business from me and my dozens of friends with children. His excuse was, he just had the floors redone. I promoted this place for years, I brought back people that handnt been there in over 20 years, and to thank me the owner didnt allow me in, and then smuggly smirked as he, his wife, and the other skate cop watched my friends and I leave. There are way better places to go for a birthday parties that are cheaper, have better food, and are all around more accommodating. It sucks I have to leave this review, this place was one of my favorites as a kid.

When I went for my sisters friends party, it was pretty nice! The rink was really big, and not so crowded to the point where youd have to wait to go in and skate. They offered skates and blades, so you can choose which you feel better on. The food is pretty nice, for the party they gave us pizza. (Which was pretty good as well!) There were also arcade games, but only about 4 or 5. The only thing Id not recommend is buying a lot of food, but other than that this is the best Skate Center Ive ever went to. Also its a great place for young kids, I saw a lot of them there. You can also bring your own skates in! Parking is good too. Great for beginner (And pro) Roller skaters!

Affordable. Watch for discount days on their website. Staff is nice and knowledgeable. Concessions are affordable. Select few games to play with a prize area which helps with younger kids who chose to not skate. Also hosts flat track roller derby which are entertaining games to watch. I have also had a birthday party there (they have a reserved birthday area) and the staff was very attentive. It is an affordable option. All the kids had a great time.

It definitely is nice this place still exists. I just dont appreciate having to pay just to watch my nephews skate. Also there are too many rules that would turn most teenagers away. I would rather have kids be able to come in and hang out with their friends than be somewhere else causing problems out of boredom. If you allowed kids to bring their friends that dont skate you would probably attract even more business. Besides teenagers love a good concession stand. If you want to bring back the days of roller skating then try and loosen up a bit.

Dont take your toddler for Kids Skate unless they are independently skating. You cant hold your kid on skates, take a picture with your phone, and hats are not allowed. While being lectured by a high schooler, no one offered any kind of assistance device for my daughter, so I guess they dont have that either... Never going back, and wouldnt recommend.

My 14 year old daughter loves the saturday night skate there. I attended with her one weekend and my only complaint is just mainly with the parents of some of the kids that hang out there. These 14 -16 year old girls were dropping f bombs and just using way too many curses for their age.

We have enjoyed Coachlight over the years. Family owned, very friendly, great customer service & fair prices, all aspects with which many corporations & business are & have been trending towards fading away. I dont remember a place in recent history, where they do the work of running your credit card. Shocking! At other places, where for all the years, lines back up, customers get impatient & the companys just dont care. But this is just one aspect of what much is impersonal, oft cares less, than more, customers doing work where once jobs existed, sell outs to other countries, marks of privileged Corporate Greed in America has come home to roost. This as even more ways to have customers serve themselves in stores & online, unpaid tasks, & raising prices to boot. Be aware consumers & spend accordingly. They only get away with these as long as its tolerated. How do I know? Nearing 30 years in consumer advocacy & Business Development. Shop at good community based business like these, especially those that give back. I would never would have imagined when I started years ago, but things are what they are. Thank you Coach light for being ole school, doing it right, & a part of the community as well! A lot to be said for caring, personality & fairness in business because after all, it is still and always will be a 2 way street. Plenty of options for customers to choose from, it only makes sense to have it right. Makes a huge difference, really!!! My only feedback is to do some updates inside & with the rentals. Again, thank you!

So, the basic amenities are there - a floor you can skate on and not die. Staff to make sure you die. But beyond that, quite lacking. From the sound system with out of sync speakers, to $2.50 slices of Jacks Pizza (which usually go for $2 for a whole pizza at the store) just...no. Roller skating rinks are a dying breed, which really lowers the overall bar. You can be better, Coachlight.

Last of a dying breed, the roller skating rink. came here for a childs party. the set up for the party was really nice. kids can skate all they want, then as part of the party, kids get tokens to play games that spit out tickets which can be redeemed for little knick knacks. (redemption rates are really generous, so every kid gets to walk away with a lot of stuff).poor marks because the rink has a crazy rule about who can sit in the party area and who cannot during the childs designated party time. to save our host some money, all the adults sat outside the party area.

Place is real nice for everyone of all ages. They have a concession spot so you can get a snack if you want. It is a very nice place. The only reason I gave it 4 stars, is that the concession spot is on an upper level. Meaning, you need to take a step up to access it. If you are like me, and in a wheelchair, it is NOT possible to access that area. I was there with my daughter, and I could not enjoy that part of the rink.

Wish I would have read the reviews before having my daughter’s birthday party here. Since she wanted a skating party, and Orbit shut down, this was the only near by option. They have a monopoly and know it and treat people however they feel like. If I would have read the reviews before, I would’ve steered clear and spent my money elsewhere. $350 for a party of 23kids, and pizza/pop for the adults. For that amount of money, I would have expected WAAAAAAAAAAAY more and at the very least for them to treat my guests kindly and respectfully. Here are my takeaways:1) Owner is Rude:I had an adult guest in tears due to the guy at the front berating her about wearing a beanie. His excuse “insurance policy”, fine. A rule is a rule. You do not berade and belittle your guests/customers under ANY circumstance. You never know what someone is going through...show some compassion. Who argues and berades a customer to the point of tears? Disgusting.2) The whole place is Dirty and Disgusting:The smell of this place....GROSS (like mold/old/stale air), stains all over the carpet, returned skates and didn’t even see them get cleaned before getting put back. After the kids were skating and touching the walls, floor, etc they didn’t even have hand sanitizer before they ate. Any other place that hosts kids party makes sure kids sanitize before eating. Common sense. One thing I wish I would’ve remembered yesterday was bringing hand sanitizer. I have no clue how this place hasn’t gotten shut down by the health department,3) Too many rules/Hard to even book the party:They have inconvenient hours and you must pay a cash deposit before party. Make sure to read ALL the fine print of the rules. I forgot forks for the cake, they wanted to charge me 25cents per fork... are you kidding me? I am spending over $300 and you want to charge for forks. Ridiculous. They are not accommodating.4) Horrible Party Set UpParents had to sit in the concession area, the only people allowed in the party area were the kids with the “skate” stamp. There were two empty tables in the party room that parents could have sat at and ate at. Instead, there were multiple cup spills, and chaos as the kids ate. Having to run back and forth between kids and parents was not enjoyable as a party host. Kids only got 30min in the party room, so only enough time to eat and do cake. Not enough time for presents.5) Bad Pizza/Small PizzaEven for a kid party, the pizza was bad and small. Some was even burnt. Paying $9/pizza I would expect better. Or allow people to bring their own pizza in.6) Not for beginner skatersthey do not have any of the skate carts (the things beginner skaters use to hold on to while learning to skate). So unless your kid and their friends are good skaters, don’t waste your time/money.The kids seemed to have fun, that was the only positive. Most of them enjoyed the arcade games and winning prizes more than the skating. I will never be back and based off of the experiences and feedback of my guests, I don’t think any of them would be back.

It was obvious the man handing out tickets wanted to make me feel uncomfortable so he yelled at me infront of everybody telling me to help my friend who obviously was doing fine with the money that we pooled. We came to coachlite again because we love the place. We came with our own skates and rode in. At the benches we took our skates off knowing that he would have to check them. He yelled at only me and not my friend. He told me to walk with no shoes outside when we left and to not wear my skates ever again. This place is disgusting. I used to go when I was a kid. My wife and I took our four year old there a few months ago. We werent impressed, but we wanted to give it another chance since he enjoyed himself. Flash ahead to May 7th. Awful experience. The old man (presumably owner) taking payments at the front is completely rude and arrogant. Disrespectful. The young kid renting the skates - same attitude. Even worse, the cashiers at the food area cannot count change. We had to help them do simple math on two occasions and then argue for our change. The facility itself is filthy. It looks and feels like it hasnt been cleaned in twenty years. A lot of the arcade games are broken. Even picking out prizes from arcade tickets was a nightmare. The same old man who let us in was the one issuing the prizes. He was rude to my four year old who was excited, trying to decide what to choose. The bathrooms are absolutely vile. Im reporting this place to the health department and will be telling everyone to AVOID at all costs. There are better places in the area. This place is a DUMP! Used to be good twenty years ago...but its hard to stay nice when you literally dont change anything for twenty years.
