The employees care about the animals and will educate new hobbyists with proper instructions & procedures.I have personally scene them educating hobbyists many times.They only carry supplies that are proven to last the test of time.No junk. (ex. Aqua Clear filters)Great saltwater selection. Yesterday was the first time in this store. Found this jem settled in nicely in our 150 gallon tank. Showing its colors already picture doesnt do it justice. Along I found some nice fish to add to my micro tank. Still need plants but have not found what I want yet. For a smaller store they have a nice variety. Staff was super helpful. Definitely worth the trip even if we got cought up in the storm! Love that they post updated fish on web! Thats a plus in my book!

Maybe put signs up that customer’s shouldn’t touch the tanks because it scares the fish and will make them sick? That would be the smart thing to do. Not too fond with the way the lady told me not to touch the tanks. It’s a fish store. I wonder how many times she has to tell people that a day. But it was very rude and I did not appreciate it at all. Wanted to buy fish to add to my tank but that threw me off and I was just ready to go at that point.

As a new fish keeper over the past year, I have found this store and the employees invaluable for advice and encouragement. They want to see you succeed in caring for your fish and it shows. I’ve checked out over 5 other aquarium shops around the state and in Lancaster county, PA. For a small LFS, they are competitive in pricing, selection, and knowledge . Strongly recommend!!! Great LFS. These guys really know their stuff and have been in the industry for several decades. They take absolutely best care possible of their freshwater and saltwater fish. If someone tells you that they did not like the advice from Go Fish, odds are they are inexperienced and have unrealistic expectations. I have been interacting with the owners before this shop and will not buy my fish anywhere else.

Been here a few times the past year, only place I could find locally that carried stuff for my cherry shrimps. Owners are knowledgeable and cool. Support local business!

I used to just shop at the big chain pet stores until I found this place. They often have great deals on used aquariums, in fact my current 20 gallon setup came from here. They also have a large selection of fish, plants, and invertabrates (many of which I’d never seen elsewhere), also at reasonable prices. The staff is friendly and very knowledgeable. Highly recommended!

4.5 stars. Good prices. Good selection. People seemed nice. Dont really like the way its set up, especially if youre short. But its done that way to fit as many tanks as possible. Also wouldnt hurt to wipe down the fronts of the tanks once and a while. But id definitely recommend. And will definitely go back.

Went there to get fish for my sons tank and they were so helpful and the gentleman who helped me was so kind to my son, it’s like we had been going to him for years. Highly recommend this store if you want that friendly experience and good customer service will definitely be going to them from now on.

They run a really good business there and everything that you need to know about what youre doing when you comes to buying the type of fish you want how your water should be how many fish you should get at a time was great I would recommend this Place for everybody to go to. Its not typical she ia somebody that has a passion the owner cares about what shes doing and just doesnt want the money.

Staff very friendly and knowledgeable. Amazing selection of freshwater fish, and a whole wall of saltwater fish and corals. All the fish and tanks in general looked healthy and well cared for. This will definitely be a dangerous place for my wallet!

We started keeping several aquariums about two years ago and wouldnt have had anywhere near the success weve had without the good people at Go Fish. Theyre extremely knowledgeable and stock a large variety of healthy, vibrant fish as well as everything youd reasonably need to keep them healthy, happy and well fed. Im fortunate to have these people in my neighborhood and look forward to each and every visit.

The staff there is knowledgeable and the fish are healthy. You wont find weak or sick fish for sale like some larger chain stores. If a tank needs to be treated it will be medicated and marked not for sale until they are healthy again. Its refreshing to see a store be responsible with its fishs health for a change. Do yourself a favor, shop local and buy quality.

The staff is very friendly, and helpful. This is a great mom and pop store. You wont find as many fish as some other local shops, but you wont have to wait in line just to get to talk to someone.

Great fish. Really healthy. Have filled over 6 tanks from here. Salt and freshwater. Never have had a just bought casualty. Large variety of fish, frogs, snails, crabs, etc. Dry goods and live food are really nice. Very knowledgeable staff. I almost made a few mistakes and Joanne (who knows every fish and tank I have) asked me to reconsider and pointed out who is supposed to get along with whom. But, she always just gives her advice and not a bully salesperson who is just trying to make a sale. I really appreciate that!

We were in Baltimore for a day and decided to drop in to check out the fish. We try to go to aquarium stores on every trip we take anywhere, and the number that we’ve visited is probably around 15 or so at this point. Go Fish is by far the best we’ve been to. Very, very good prices on the fish and plants, and even better quality.

They have a lot of selection of fish. They help you with questions if you had them.

I have had a fish tank for multiple years and recently had a lot of fish die :(I was at a loss and decided to call this local fish store for advice. The young lady who answered the phone was incredibly helpful. After asking me specific questions about the conditions and history of my fish tank, she was able to diagnose why my fish died and gave me great advice on how to fix it and what to do next. I really appreciate her help, she saved my tank!

Dont waste your time coming here. Multiple tanks had dead and/or sick fish in them. The one lady that worked there bumped into my 4 yr old, then yelled down the aisle at him not to touch the fish tanks because he was going to scare the fish. I had asked him one he wanted so it was my fault he touched the tank. She did it again when he was with his mother in another aisle. Then she yelled at me from across the store because i moved one of the magnetic cleaners that was on one of the tanks, saying that i was scaring the fish by doing so. I put the items inwas going to buy down and me and my family left the store. We wont be coming back here. Its a waste of time. 1, im sorry i want to see what kind of quality something is before i spend 35$ on a fishtank scrubber. It was one they used to clean their tanks, not like i opened one up and stuck it in there to try it. 2, its not very professional to yell at customers, especially not across the store. I dont care how small the store is. 3, they are not very knowledgeable about the fish or ehat should be with what. Not a very good selection of fish or supplies. I went here because it was close but honestly it is so much better and worth the drive to go to house of tropicals in glen burnie.

We need to suport our local fish stores.....please buy fish from a healthy suplier like this. Large box stores will eventually hurt the fish keeping hobby. Go fish has a wide variety of healthy fish. Comunity, very nice selection of chiclids, and also salt water fish. And we cant forget the goldfish lol.

Finally, I found the great small fish store that is run by true experts and long time aquarist versus chain stores. Awesome stock, nothing like it anywhere near Baltimore. Yes the owners are a bit sarcastic until they see you are serious about buying. Overlook that and the algae covered glass on some tanks and you will discover very healthy fish and some of the best fish to be found anywhere. A true gem.

Stopped by on my way home from work. Turns out that they are CLOSED on Mondays- which is fine that is what the hours of operation sign states. But why would you also put another sign on the door that reads something like; If its Monday and Im here inside, I am just feeding the fish, please come back during business hours. Why not just say; Im here on Mondays feeding the fish and I will not open the door for a possible $1,000 dollar sale!!!!!Do I really want to do business with a company having a mind set like that???? Im thinking NOT LIKELY.....

I spent at least a half hour at this store today without so much as a hello the workers walked around the store looking like zombies and asked no one did they need help when I was on my way out the door he lady asked did I need help I said no I am good because I spent the last half hour here and no one asked me did I need help I did not even get greeting when coming in the store they just stared at me so when I finally did leave I saw another with her two children and I did she purchase anything and she said no I asked her why didn’t she she said because the workers ignored her the whole time that she was there and I said that is exactly why I’m leaving as well so I’m not trying to tell anyone how to run their business I’m just saying that if they were a little attentive then maybe they would make some money and get rid of those fish in those overcrowded fish tanks so I’m going to petco and the other lady is going to a store in glen burnie

There were many times I wanted to post a review, but then I thought maybe I shouldnt but here I am now. This place has the worst customer service ever. They treat their customers really really bad. They keep you wait for everything and they show attitude when you ask them a question. They never greet you when you come to the store and smile for them costs 1 million dollars. Sometimes they bring in beautiful fish, but I will never go to this store ever again. That place is not welcoming at all.
