We booked our wedding here for October just before everything shut down due to Covid. Decided in May that due to my Fiance/Wife, her daughter, and my parents all being high risk that we just simply could not have a large scale wedding and I called to release the date for others to book, including sending an email as requested. A month went by and I got zero response. Called again, and was told that they decided not to allow a refund, and because of that they also did not bother making the date available. The manager asked me to send another email with the information about my family. I did so, once again, no response for three weeks until I called again to ask for an update. Essentially two months of them doing nothing. May the odds be in your favor during these times of uncertainty.

We absolutely loved having our wedding at Lawrence Plantation this October! My now husband, mother and I looked at multiple venues in the Rome area, and this was the perfect fit for us. The venue is beautiful-it overlooks what used to be a golf course, with rolling hills and beautiful trees in the background. The plantation house is a stunning space, is classic and can decorated in any way you choose, it doesn’t hurt that it has a huge wrap around porch that is perfect for an indoor/outdoor experience! We decided to have our ceremony outside, overlooking the golf course with the hills in the background. We had a cocktail hour to follow which was held on the porch and the back lawn leading up to the house. The dinner and dancing was inside, and the built in bar was great to have! We had 170 guests who comfortably fit in the reception room, we had a huge dance floor and still had room to spare for extra tables if needed. The manager, Todd, was extremely helpful and responsive throughout the planning process. We exchanged many emails and phone conversations, and never left with a question unanswered. Todd was very accommodating, met with us multiple times leading up to the wedding, and made sure everything was executed well the day of the wedding. We had multiple guests rave about the venue, and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience! We highly recommend this venue and wouldn’t have changed a thing about our big day! Thank you so much to Todd and Lawrence Plantation!

This is a beautiful place for a wedding and awesome people who run it we had a perfect day for my son and daughter in law.

Full disclosure: We joined family members who have a membership.The pool at Lawrence Plantation is looking really good this year! Super clean around the pool, concrete is neither slimy or so hot you could cook things (even though it got close to 100 out today). It was super busy as today was a national holiday (Memorial Day) but not so busy you were forced to jockey for a poolside position or you were unable to swim in the pool. Bathroom/changing rooms are clean. The snack bar appears to be clean.All together a great family environment for summer.

Rehearsal & WeddingWe held our rehearsal, wedding ceremony, and reception here. What an amazing and seamless weekend we had!From the beginning of our planning Todd did a phenomenal job of helping us by offering many suggestions for how we could make the venue work for us. He was very laid back and eager to answer questions and help us in all ways possible.We used The Season Events for all catering and wedding coordinating and they worked so well with Todd at the Plantation. We couldnt believe how easy and laid back our perfect day was. This is attributed to the professionalism of Todd in working with Holly, Nicole, Ray, and their amazing Season Events crew.If you are looking for a venue with endless indoor and outdoor photo ops, look no further! You wont regret choosing this venue, and I know you will be as pleased as we are!

Great event venue, beautiful setting, wonderful property manager, reasonably priced. Ive been to multiple weddings here. They also have a pool and tennis courts.
