We spent two days docking our 30ft trailer at the 30a spots in not-so-nice weather. My interactions with the staff all the way from the first phone call to two visits at the office were very pleasant. We came on off-nights, and the few neighbors we encountered were all genuinely nice, sharing their camp fire and stories. I saw a diverse mix from bohemian trailers to the half-million-dollar landyachts. The RV spots are on top of a hill surrounded by trees, to the dock on the lake its a half-mile trail.

Specifically about the primitive tent sites: area is very loosely managed and seems to attract loud parties on the weekend. Also there is no water, bathroom, or trash near the tent sites requiring a drive (or long walk) up to the main building. On the plus side location is pretty nice and access to the lake is convenient.

We are quickly becoming regulars here. Years ago, this was where I went when everywhere else was booked. We now only camp somewhere else when Hide-a-Way is booked. I’ve learned that they have new owners, and it’s insanely obvious. It’s clean, RV pads are level, and we’ve always received full hook-ups. Prices in the store are actually fair, unlike everywhere else. The pool is awesome. There’s a shallower end for our youngers, and a deep end for our olders. I’m not sure if it’s the owners that we’ve dealt with the past few visits, but wow! They truly care about your stay and family’s safety. This past visit, we had an issue with the site that we reserved. The staff went above and behind to make it right, which really meant something since we stayed at a business right next to them last summer and had a similar issue, and they sent us away even though we already paid.As tough as this year has been, it’s nice to feel like we received so much more than we paid for!Thanks for the very well needed relaxation!

What a wonderful Labor Day weekend. Everyone is super friendly and helpful. Stayed in a primitive site and it was beautiful and right by their dock. Rented the canoe twice. Beaver Lake is beautiful. Jumped off cliffs and swam. Highly recommended.

This place is very Desving... The pictures are not What it looks like ... Had to Walk a cross too use restrooms n showers .. The Cabin.. is cute too store stuff in .. Microwave n icebox n a little coffee seating island .. N a Full Size bed .. Have too HV ur own drinking water ECT... So If u .... Just want to sleep not eat or relax do come . If u want Peace,relaxing, STAY SOME WHERE ELSE.. no trails no swimming Area at lake ...

Extremely disappointed with this campground. The PROS: The gal who is one of the managers/owners (?) was very hospitable and friendly and answered all my questions. They are dog friendly (THANK YOU!). The tent campsites are close to the water so I could go for a dip any time I wanted. There are decent toilets and showers up at the main RV camp area. CONS: Both at the RV area and the tent area, you are absolutely CRAMMED in with very limited space and privacy. For the tent campsites: there was never a sighting of a camp host or to check on the sites. The outhouse was never cleaned and it was disgusting--I didnt see a single person using it as a result. There was no control of noise so there were campers with generators and loud music all the way into the night (to the point where Sheriffs had to be called), which absolutely ruins the experience for those of us who camp to find quiet and nature. There were no trash bins anywhere in the campsite (which is OK--I packed out all my stuff) but there was trash all throughout because of lazy people. A lot of the campsites were not leveled and access to some were an issue. The campsites with a table were few and far between. I would find another campground if I camp again at Beaver Lake.

Great people but sites are too tight and if its not a dust bowl its a mud pit when it rains. Difficult to get to the boat dock no matter your walking or driving. They need to pave the road.

Pros & Cons: Staff was super friendly and helpful. Everything you need located on site. There is a pool, playground, laundry showers and basic general store. Major cell provider work at camp. Cons: camps site super close together with limited parking. Lake swimming very constrictive off doc or very limited shore. In addition it is a walk, especially if there is more than 5 cars. Had no cell service on dock with T-Mobile, clear AT&T and Verizon. Pool hours 10-7.

Great little spot for our first outing in our camper. Got checked in and got to the site and found out we brought everything but cooking utensils. The store at the campground was sold out so the owners let us borrow one of their personal spatulas so we could cook dinner over the weekend. There are a LOT of people who camp there often and there was a family reunion atmosphere the whole time we were there. Will definitely camp there again after we explore some more. Excellent customer service and a friendly atmosphere!

I have been going here since I was little with my Dad. Now my Dad and I take are family here with my husband and kids. We love this Campsite. They have new owners and have plans to make the place even more Great. The owners are Awesome and can tell they really care about the place. They are very friendly and will help in a way they can. They are very sweet people. I will be definitely be coming back with my family.

My friends and I had booked two campsite assuming it would fit all of us. Unfortunately, the campsite is very small and cramp. We paid for two nights, but only stayed for one day. The customer service was AWESOME!! The owners are very nice and hospitable. The place is perfect for RVS. I highly recommend for RVS, but not for camping. The owners mentioned renovating hideaway and they showed us pictures and let me tell you it was really nice!

We rented a campsite here for two nights. Upon arrival we immediately realized how small and crammed together the camp sites were, and it appeared to be very overbooked. The campground is less a campground and more of a large parking lot with hookups, its obvious that the focus is to maximize the owners profits, not the campers comfort. There are no lines or dividers to indicate where one site ends and the other begins, but we were too excited for our mini camping vacation to let this small detail bring us down. We set up camp, enjoyed the campfire and settled in for the night.We woke up the next day and went to town for a while, upon our return there were two men standing in our camp site. We rolled down our window and asked them if they would move so we could park, and immediately the man standing there (later found out was an owner) was very rude and abrasive towards us. He told us we would have to pay for the additional campsite to park our car, and complained towards us about campers taking up multiple sites and how there are no other open spots for the weekend. He gave us no other option other than paying for two sites and just repeated this to us over and over again. As he continued he disclosed that the other gentleman he was with is unable to camp because someone in a different campsite was in his spot. (why they didnt ask the campers not in their designated camping spot to move, I dont know)Again, let me reiterate that there are NO lines or indications of where one site ends and another begins. There was also no one in the site next to us, but we had been watching for someone to move in so we could move over if needed to be polite. Instead we came back and got jumped by the owner. He walked away from us so I grabbed my card and followed with intention to pay for the spot, since he insisted that we did (while he was simultaneously insisting that that there were no other open camp spots) . At this point his wife was walking down the road as well and told us not to worry about it. We didnt want to cause any issues and were willing to pay for the spot, but they wouldnt allow us to after he had demanded that we did.At this point we are confused, upset, and exhausted. We were paying customers, not causing any issues, and we were trying to work with them the best we could. Yet we were harassed over parking 2 feet over on an empty, unmarked campsite. (we measured the space after the incident) . We decided to pack up and leave, because the man was rude, upset, and the campsite was not worth it.Later as we were leaving he strolled back by our campsite and said Im sorry you guys had to deal with that . The other campers were not rude, the only thing we had to deal with was the owner being rude and hateful towards us for no reason. What a sorry excuse for an apology and a sorry excuse for a campsite. I will note that his wife was very nice and accommodating, he should not interact with campers if he has such little control over his temper.

My stay here with my family was AMAZING! They have some of the coolest activities! If your a kid like me, you get to have fun swimming AND playing at great sized park. If your an adult and what a relaxing vacation away from civilization or some fun fishing or swimming at the lake, then this is the spot for you!

Just Awesome! Great camp sites. Truly a hideaway

We went on a Boy Scout camp out there. The facilities were pretty nice for standard camping. Each tent site had water and electricity. Bathroom & showers were about 50 yards way. They had a pretty decent playground. The equipment is vintage but good condition. They had a steel slide, swing set, marry-go-around (wood and steal), tether-ball pole, and horse shoe pit. They had a large pavilion with concrete floor which was 60ft by 100ft which, contained a basketball goal and an attach BBQ pit. The facilities had several RV hook-ups. We did not make it to the lake though. I would go back to the facilities with my family if we decided to revisit Beaver Lake.

Family run. They are super helpful and friendly. Can rent kayak canoe or Lilly pad to go on the lake. So convenient with a beautiful lake just a short walk from cabin.

We were schedule to stay there for one week, but we had problems with our camper. So one week turned into three weeks while we trying to repair a water damage bunkhouse. Even though we were loud and frustrating, the staff was very friendly, especially the owners. The pool is nice and bathroom and laundry were Hospital. Thank you again Beaver Lake Hideaway for helping us through a rough patch.

Cabin smelt like a fart. Pool was super cloudy, almost like somebody dumped a bunch of suntan lotion in it. The owners were super nice though.

Camp ground was extremely over Crowded it’s more like a parking lot your campsite will only fit a car and a tent no fire ring don’t bother with chairs they won’t fit and you can’t tell because the sites aren’t marked at all hardly and the owners jump you off you slightly are out of your site (unknowingly) meanwhile the owners said the real problem was that other campers would rent one site and take 3-4 I then I offered to rent the next site but they refused. to put it simply the owners were not the friendliest the lake is useless here because there’s no access unless you want to hike through forest and swampy shore I will say you could access the water from the dock but it’s very small and when there’s campsites full of people on one little dock it’s not great there also was only one bathroom open for the whole campground

My fiance along with our dog stayed there almost a full week and it was pretty chill honestly. Even though as much as we wanted to stay at the water/electric site... but it was way too much of a squeeze between two other campers. It was a tad bit better tho that we stayed at the primitive site ooooother than the relentless ticks . Spent hours pulling ticks off ourselves and the dog lol The ladies who run the campground really are the best though. They helped us with quite a lot, definitely much appreciated mind you being from out of state. I cant wait to go back and hopefully the new renovation amps the look and feel of this lil Hide-A-Way ️️

My husband and I actually stayed here two years ago. We travelled from Central CA to Hideaway Campground. My hubby booked our stay and it went very well. We were camping off season (end of October). We were originally the only campers. The owners were super friendly and personable. We have 3 mini weenie dogs and had no problems! We even had our chikdren, mother in law, and our grandchildren come from the Paris area to spend time and camp with us. Well, we had initialky rented a small cabin for the kids n grandkids... And itcwas a little too small for all of them. They ended up “upgrading“ to bigger cabins! The owners were very agreeable...friendly.... AND PATIENT!!!Every time we saw the owners drive by, they waved and smiled! They had us park our huge trailer anywhere we wanted! The pool was drained due to the season. Campground was clean. It was also my understanding that the owners had just recently purchased??.The pavilion was incredible for our big family to have a few meals in. It has lights and electricity! Covered completely To protect you from the torrential downpour’s Arkansas tends to have! The rates were very reasonable! And I have to say… I am not one to use public facilities for showering or toileting no matter what kind of resort or campground we are at. I only use the restroom and shower in our RV. My shower my germs! LOL However, I did end up using their bathroom and I saw how immaculately clean it was. I then showered and had a wonderful shower in a very clean bathroom! I was very impressed! I saw that the owners went in frequently to check and make sure that they were clean!I have their address actually hanging on our refrigerator here in Fresno California. We have a beautiful home that we had built; however both of us have undergone and are going through a lot of medical problems. Including myself having a brain tumor and getting it removed… And having surgery scheduled… But just told today its going to be rescheduled AGAIN!!!!!....This hospital is cancelling All surgeries that are requiring overnight stays because they have 200 beds full with active COVID-19 patients at this one hospital! ....Our hopes are to be able to move to Arkansas soon. We do know that we have to figure out income as my husband has been at his place of employment for 33 years! I’ve been a nurse for 28 years but I am in forced retirement!However… If we were to go stay long term (rates were reasonable!)......Hey owners… Do you need somebody to direct or help in anyway with fixing things or doing things around there? Assisting campers??? I can offer my husband!! He is hardworking and gives his all! He is professional but friendly! He is the Director where he is employed and the employees really show admiration and respect towards Ken! They are able to talk to him about anything. He listens and is fair in his decisions. I am very versed at answering telephones scheduling, making people happy by addressing their concerns with professionalism and kindness; quickly resolving any issues they may have and with a smile… Hubby is also very good in anything he does! We just need a source of income and Medical : in order to get moved! He also teaches the Word of God to whomever inquires.....has questions!!!I’m pretty sure no one is reading this far in my review!!! Lol at least I use that some of my words today! Hubby is working all the time so have the three mini weenies to talk to and they’re all asleep right now! God bless you and no matter what you’re going through in life right now I hope you know that God sees you and knows what you’re going through and cares about you! He’ll meet you right where you are!

The swimming pool was beyond refreshing, then movie night came after and capped the night well. The store is cute and the owners are the nicest people ever!!! Thank you so much!! The bathrooms and showers were kept up with very well. And if there was a problem, I could guarantee the owners will come to help almost instantly. We will be coming back for many years to come. The cabins were great. They are remodeling them so they are only getting better. The camp grounds were clean. The boat dock with kayak rentals were great. The small store they have is reasonably priced for anything you forgot to pack. If you are camping or in a rustic cottage there are clean flush toilets and clean hot showers. My wife and I will be back and will bring our friends.

I reserved a spot a week beforehand, when I got there someone was already there and the staff wouldn’t make the people move. The whole campground stinks & is trashy. The people were all drunk & loud. There was no social distancing, the trailers weren’t even 6ft apart. I would not recommend this place to anyone!!

This place was so nice and peaceful beautiful place to go. My family and I have had the best time here. So my activity’s for a family to do here. There is fishing and swimming at the lake, they also have a pool, and a playground with a pavilion where you can shoot some hoops and even a Bbq pit there you can use. They had restrooms with hot showers and they kept them clean and stocked well. They even had a laundry room which was definitely needed on this trip!! Loved the camp store so many choices for my forgetful items. They even had a movie night for the kids on Saturday and Sunday! The staff and new owners were super nice and helpful they went out of there way to accommodate all of our needs. We loved this place and will definitely be back!! 10 stars ️ in my books!

I love this place, our whole family comes every where multiple times. And the ONLY reason I gave it 4 stars (wish I could do 4.5) is cause there isnt nearly enough parking by the docks.Regardless, the owners are so sweet, and everyone I have met that camps there are nice as well. There is also a pool opens around 9:30am-8pm. There is showers and bathrooms. Its a great place. Definitely recommended!!

Weve come camping every year for the last 3 years at camp hideaway. Its kinda became our summer kick off tradition well this year weve been here for maybe a total of 3 hours and the staff has been nothing but rude and knit picking every single little thing. Not how we wanted to start off our family camping trip. We will definitely not be back.

I am a travel nurse and pulled in here 3/4/19-11/9/19. It was a fantastic place to stay. Beautiful, peaceful, quiet. Extremely nice owners.

It was Over crowded there campers in tent camping only because it was over booked. you couldnt have a camp fire because the campers where so close together there was no quiet hours it was constant people driving up and down the lanes and kids yelling late at night and one night someone in the tent camping ran a loud generator all night. Just poor management.

We stayed here overnight and it was lovely. Quiet, and very nice folks in the office. Of course, it didnt hurt that the weather is perfect!! Will definitely come back.

Awesome place. Great new owners who really care and do everything they can to make your stay a good one. They have big plans for the place so I am excited to say we will be going back for years to come. If you want recipe for a good brisket stop in the office and mention it and they will give you the full run down Texas style.

Beautiful place amazing staff. Under new ownership and they are doing an amazing job. They have so much planned right of the lake boat dock and slip. RV parking, primitive camping, and camping with electricity. Just a great quiet place to enjoy nature. They have a little store for you camping needs prices are great. Have stayed many times and will continue to return.

I want to say this is the most friendly campground we have been to. We were new to the area and the owners made us feel welcome! We were given great suggestions on attractions in the area and were treated like we are family. Thanks Dale, Marc and Family for making our visit such a great experience!!

Good place and the store there has plenty of merchandise there to where you dont have to run into town to get something like tackle common everyday essentials even horseradish.

An interesting place to stay, kind of expensive for the cabins, really nice staff makes up for that. It seemed like there was lots of RVs that where there permanently, brought the class level down for sure. We stayed there because it was the cheapest place to stay near Bentonville, if you want a place to stay I would suggest looking at the Airbnb.

Campsites are within spitting distance! We stayed on 53. This is a pic of their 3 1/2 foot picnic table only inches from the next site.

My Mom and I took the kids to this campground and we all loved it. Kids were between 12 and 15. Kids had the best of both worlds actually. We camped primitive and we very short walking distance to the dock for the kids to jump off while us ladies soaked up the sun and then just a shirt drive back up top the the inground pool !All around very great place. Ladies up at the front counter were very friendly and didnt skimp out on any info....like the raccoons lol. It was very exciting. We will b going back to Hideaway ! Best campground on beaver lake. Close to the marina at Rocky Branch. The new owners are great. Super friendly. They are always driving around checking on how everyone is doing.

Park is under new ownership and they are very friendly and nice. The park is very nice and quiet and and a great place for to get away for for the weekend or holiday. The park is open year round and has a store for your camping needs. I recommend the The Hideaway for your weekend or long term stays on Beaver Lake.

We cannot say enough about this place, we absolutely love staying here. It is very easy to make reservations and communicate with Dale via website and email. The cabins are clean; the beds are WONDERFUL; kitchen has all that we needed and more. We made use of and enjoyed the cabin deck and picnic table as well as the fire ring for smores and coffee at night. The view is spectacular. We also walked around the area and the fellow campers were friendly and accommodating. We have stayed twice and have already made reservations for a winter stay. We look foward to all the plans that the Martyns have for this gem in the mountain. Thank you for such enjoyable stays.

A wonderful outdoor oasis with endless nature trailing, a boat dock/slip nearby to camping areas and very friendly owners under new ownership! Can’t wait to see the new changes ahead. We took our new travel trailer down here and couldn’t ask for a better outdoor living weekend!

We really enjoyed our stay. We stayed for 2 weeks and definitely got our moneys worth. The pool is large and well maintained. The laundry and shower facilities were clean and nice. It has a nice cove to swim in and has a nice lookout.

The park is under new management. It is now open year round and making updates on the park. There are many changes coming all for the better. Making the park a more family friendly and fun place to camp.

The seclusion is divine and lake being so close is amazing. The amenities need serious update. Laundry takes multiple times to get dry, bathrooms collect water and spider webs. The owners told me I couldnt stay there because my dog was a pit although they allow Rotts, German Shepherds, boxers, and even other pitbulls at the time I was there. They gave me a matter of a week to move before he would drag my camper into the street, because its not his problem. Not ideal for long stays. Best for family weekends or fishing trips.

This place is great for kids and adults. They have a great swimming pool area and a huge picnic area that even has a basketball court inside of it. The restrooms and showers are nice and clean and its easy to access the lake with your boat from your campsite.

Horrible. Over sold cabins for labor day. Confirmed 6 cabins. Sister also confirmed.We where here for a family reunion and members travelled from several states.Said that it was a miscomunication. Then said they were reserved 6 months ago but those people had not confirmed, so she reserved the cabins for us. The first group did call to confirm a couple of weeks ago, so she rented the cabins to them.Never told us! Found out when we arrived!Absolutely dispicable. Offered free tent camping?? Knows we have traveled many miles and are not able to campNever use these people .They should be put out of business.

New management and fantastic experience. Very accommodating owners and beautiful property. So glad we brought our family here.

The BEST!!!! The Owners/Managers are ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC!!! As part of a Riding Club, we were in need of a trailer for two of our bikes ... the Owner totally took care of us by providing the trailer and saving the entire Holiday Weekend!!! Weve already reserved our cabin for next year ... and looking forwarding to staying at the Hide Away for many years to come. THANK YOU!!!! :)

This wasnt a bad place, but I dont think Id go there a second time. The caretakers are nice enough (and even offer free movie rentals in their camp store), but overall the campground was very stony and felt dirty and many of the guests were loud and rude. Also, Id recommend an atv if you want to easily maneuver the campground.

We love it here! Our niece comes with us just about everytime and she loves it! This past weekend we had family in from Nebraska (they stayed somewhere else) they said next year they were going to plan thier vacation here! The owners are very nice and they make kids feel special. My niece loves to take them pictures she colored or things she has found. They are very excited and thank her. She calls them her friends in the office . It is quiet and peaceful i miss it when we leave and love it when we are back!

It was just what we wanted. Close to the lake, a ways in the woods, and not like other camping grounds! You didnt have to deal with next door camp sites, they were a good ways away. They people working at the office were really nice, and have lots of information. Will deffinatly be going back!

Rude Rude Rude! They say they are pet friendly but their not.. My dog fallowed me to the br.. I didnt see any signs about no dogs.. But clearly I missed it and the lady who either works or co owns it was super mean and rude.. They have been rude to me since I got here. When I went to get something from the camp store she was rude... Did I do something to offend her? I have no clue but.. You do not talk to another human being like that or look at them like they are trash! I did nothing mean or rude to her and yet I wasnt treated like a guest.. But more like a burden.. For people who cant have kids and have a dog instead.. This is not the place for you.. For people who want to feel like their at a home away from home or on vacation.. This is not the place for you... I feel so unwanted here.. We will never stay here again. What a lovely taste of Arkansas... Hate it here and I will never come back.
