Love this place. Its great to get out in the park and just walk the trails, or in my case, run my rc trucks! Its beautiful!

This is a great place to explore and there is a lot of interesting things along the way. The entire path is beautiful and a good distance with many stops along the way. There is a pretty cool spot on the lookout to boulder and lots of wildlife to check out. Have been back every day to check it out!

Great place to go walking, paved trails. There are a lot of rocks and boulders to climb on. Good fishing here. Theres an old cemetery, swings and benches on some of the trails. All free .

Nice Park along the Tar River. Trails, spots to relax, access to the river.

We had an amazing day here with the kids, its not crowded, has walking trails, listening to the river flow gives you peace, we could relaxed from the hustle and bustle of the everyday life, this will be our spot to come, have fun and relax with the kids, we even are gonna start to fish, this looks like a good spot.

We stopped on the way back from the Outer Banks to let the kiddos run a bit. It seems like it was a nice park once, but it is overgrown with weeds and there was broken glass and empty beer/liquor bottles all over.

No park compares in rocky mount. Plenty of options of trails, or if water is low enough you can walk along the rocks on the river. Fishing is great anywhere here. There is plenty of parking and picnic tables/grills for group functions. Boat ramp at the end of the park with waterfront access also.

Great historic park with hiking trails, picnic shelters, a river with fishing piers and a boat launch. Found it while heading south on vacation on I-95 and its a great place to stop and walk your dogs. Lots of parking and very well maintained.

Its nice kinda looks like a prison the building across the river. The water is running pretty good here. Good place to make a movie.

Nice little park. There was a definite sewage smell in certain sports, but it wasnt the end of the world. Looks like this little park takes a beating in the spring with flooding.

A view of the river with plenty of wildlife. Great for walking, biking, hiking and fishing. A must see if you visit Rocky Mount.

Centered around the falls over the historic mill dam right in the heart of the city this wonderful park offers boating access, paths for walking, running or biking, great fishing and shelters for picnics and get togethers.

Great view

Battle Park is a nice place to walk your dog, walk with your family, or just sit and clear your mind. It’s a charming hidden jewel alongside of the Tar River where you can go take in the sights, and just be one with nature. The Rocky Mount Mill has adopted it for their own selfish purposes, but at least they provide security. Its definitely one of those places that you’ll fall in love with if you’re a nature freak.

Walking trails, off trail scenery, fishing areas, canoe and kayak areas, scenic old paper mill and dam, bike areas, boat access areas, plenty of camping area, birds and other wildlife if you are quiet enough, across the street also from another walking trail that loops around town.

I love the piece and quiet its give me a place to relax relate and release my thoughts

Has great smoking spots just look hard enough

Fishing and trails are awesome. Game Wardens always lurking trying to write a ticket for anything. Gave me a ticket for not having a fishing license but i thought county residents didnt need one on live bait. Oh well.

Might find a crackhead or two but hey just do you

I stopped here on my way to Florida. This place was not just an ordinary trail. It had a lot of trails leading through the nature of Rocky Mount, NC. It has a gazebo near the top point which you can look over all the falls. Thankfully the weather was awesome and was peaking into the high 70s! Greatly located off US 264.

I stopped to do my work and have a quiet place to do it. I was alone and a man in a green Toyota truck pulled in beside my car got out walked around my car then left. Im sitting at the picnic tables and he pulls back in gets out and walks up to me speaks and walks around me feeling on his junk so I pull out my big buck knife and lay it beside me. He sees it and stops walks back to his truck and leaves. I felt if I didnt have my knife on me he would have done something to me.

The only thing that was bad was the amount of litter I picked up 2 bags n some fishin line but I could have filled a contractor bag ...easy.

I love this place, the best time is mainly spring and fall. To see all the plant life like American mandrake and night Jazmine. Rocky mount has done a terrible job with the upkeep of this place tons of pollution in such a beautiful place.as the best park in Nash county it looks like they would do more to keep this attraction beautiful to bring more tourist. I guess the city doesnt care I mean have u seen it GUETTO!!! We have very little for youth here and they wonder why crime and drug use is at all time high open this place day and night have some of the people who are committing crimes be ordered community service to make it beautiful have feild trips and show beautiful places like this to our kids get them active in things like this instead of violence and crime.
